‘He Just Wanted To Score’: Judge Crushes Ex NBA Star Christian Wood By Increasing Monthly Support To BM Jedda Eggleston By 500 Percent To $25K
Pro athletes and child support payments go hand in hand. Even 30-year-old Megan Thee Stallion, who’s worth a reported $30M, is trying to lock down NBA legend Klay Thompson as his $80M net worth provides a great security blanket for a music career that can be arduous and uncertain as the generation changes. Once she has the baby or secures the ring, then anything after that is icing on the cake.
Of course, that’s the highest stakes. There are NBA players all over the place having multiple children with women and having to pay a dear price in their pockets. It’s a tune as common as a Drake hit. Or a Taylor Swift bop.
It gets even worse when a player’s career is over, but the bills remain. If they didn’t have a heck of a savings plan, things can get out of control and past decisions become costly regrets. Doesn’t matter if you are a superstar on a super max or have been trying to hold onto the wealth you accumulated in the league.
Former NBA Player Christian Wood Ordered To Pay $25,000 A Month After Missing Appeal Deadline By Narrowest Of Margins
Former NBA player Christian Wood has been ordered to pay the mother of his son $25,000 a month in child support after irresponsibly missing the filing deadline for an appeal. Wood, who made over $50 million while spending close to a decade in the league, took a major loss in a legal battle that went all the way to the Supreme Court of Ohio.
The talented Wood spent two years at UNLV before declaring for the 2015 NBA Draft. He never seemed to have great luck with the ladies despite his athletic prowess. He was projected to be a first round pick but wasn’t drafted and his girlfriend left him before the event could even finish. The 6-foot-8 forward signed with the Philadelphia 76ers as a free agent and that launched a respectable career. Wood also played for the Hornets, Bucks, Pelicans, Pistons, Rockets, Mavericks, and Lakers while starting in 40% of the 339 games he appeared in over eight seasons.
Wood hasn’t touched an NBA floor since the 2023-24 campaign, but his personal life has been rife with drama. The 30-year-old had a son with an Instagram model named Yasmne Lopez which went south and a nasty breakup turned into a legal mess. Wood previously had another child with Jedda Eggleston, who “caught the attention” of Wood after she “went viral on Twitter” in 2019.
New Child Support Amount Is Five Times Amount Originally Agreed Upon
The quotes are attributed to a ruling issued by the Supreme Court of Ohio last week concerning Wood’s attempt to appeal a ruling that ordered him to pay Eggleston $25,000 a month to support the child they had together in 2021.The initial agreement was allegedly for $5,000 per month, but in 2023, a judge upped that sum by $20K while taking into account the lifestyle Eggleston and her son would have enjoyed if they “had stayed together to raise” him. The magistrate bent over backwards to make sure Eggleston was getting a much larger piece of Wood’s pie, citing that “a $2,144-a-month order would have been more appropriate in a normal situation.”

Judge Ups Jedda Eggleston Support To 5x Original Amount For What Her Life Would Have Been If She Raised Baby With Wood
In fairness, Wood was given 14 days to appeal the ruling after it was issued on December 13, 2023, and it was filed 15 days later. His legal team argued he should have been given extra time to respond because he received the ruling via mail three days after it was issued. The Supreme Court, however, didn’t agree and ordered the $25,000 payment to stand. That’s five times the original agreed upon amount. But as we have seen in all of these cases, the mother of the children keeps a close eye on her estranged baby daddy’s finances and whenever there is any uptick, she comes for more with a judge’s support that the lifestyle she MIGHT have had if they stayed together entitles her to more free cash.
Fans Blast Ex-NBA Player Christian Wood For Squandering Talent
When wind of Wood’s latest challenge surfaced, fans reminisced on what could have been for the talented big.
“Christian Wood has no one to blame but himself for not only being out of the league but not being an All-Star caliber player. 6’10 big who could shoot an elite clip from three and was an elite lob threat, but he just refused to do any of the little things that bigs need to do.”

“He had a little bit of ball handling skills, bro just refused to function as a big,” another fan said.
Added a third fan on X: “He was clearly talented enough to stick in the league but never showed the willingness to evolve or add layers to his game. The skill was there, but the drive wasn’t. Injuries didn’t help his case either.”
The prevailing theme is that Wood’s game didn’t evolve.
“The sad thing is he did no wing things either. Like he just wanted to score, nothing else,” one netizen quipped.
“Crazy cuz he was out of the league before and talked about how much he learned in that time only to suffer the same fate,” another sympathetic fan said.
NBA Players Continue To Fall Victim To Insta Cash Babies
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been going through ongoing paternity issues with several women since he entered into the league. The issues have been played out on social media and been a distraction for the All-star player and the organization, even if they deny it. He’s learned a harsh lesson about being irresponsible when it comes to laying down with different women and the opportunities to do so that his NBA career and $260M bag affords him.

The groupie game is something that pro athletes have not perfected, but the science is studied by opportunists around the globe and plenty of these guys with deep pockets and blinding egos keep falling for the okey doke. Wood is just the latest, and he’s not getting a huge NBA bag anymore, so he better go overseas or something.
‘Nobody Is Checking For You’: Cleveland Browns Fans Say Jerry Jeudy Is Not Justin Jefferson Elite So He Shouldn’t Be Screaming At Shedeur Sanders
Video that emerged of veteran Cleveland Browns receiver Jerry Jeudy screaming and getting very animated with quarterback Shedeur Sanders on the sideline during the team’s 26-8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, has infuriated some football fans, who were quick to point out how Jeudy’s lack of production and his apparent lack of hustle on several plays in the game didn’t warrant his verbal abuse of a rookie quarterback.
Shedeur Sanders told Jerry Jeudy to get out of his face after Jeudy was yelling him on the sideline 😳
NFL Fans Blast Cleveland Browns WR Jerry Jeudy For Sideline Tirade Towards QB Shedeur Sanders
One fan, in a video on X posted by Shedeur Sanders TV, didn’t approve of the four-year veteran’s posture during a heated communication with Sanders on the sidelines that started with Sanders sitting down holding an iPad and ended up with both men face-to-face.
“Jerry Jeudy, all I got to say is you can go ahead and sit the F-k down. Real shit, like we are not watching Browns games to see you at all. The only reason I even check the score of the Browns game is to see what the F-k Shedeur is doing. Nobody is checking for you. Especially considering the fact we all know that you’re an agent of destruction for Kevin Stefanski. We all know you on his side. We picked up on that shit last week. Shedeur throwing absolute, 40-yeard steamers out there and what you do? You get to play hopscotch and shit and fumble that MFer…man get on somewhere.
Fans Accuse Jerry Jeudy Of Sabotaging Shedeur Sanders With Delusional Justin Jefferson Mentality
“Now this week you all up in Shedeur face pointing at the iPad clapping like you Justin Jefferson?” the fan concluded in the video. “Especially when we know you are working with Kevin Stefanski to sabotage Shedeur. All these weeks that Dillon Gabriel was sitting at the QB position throwing them ham sandwiches, you didn’t say nothing to him…You are not good enough to have that kind of attitude.
The video, which has over 50K views, had plenty of supporters.
“Jeudy where was all that energy when Flacco or Dillon was your qb…man catch the ball and have a seat,” a fan on X commented.
“And the crazy thing is @ShedeurSanders the wide receivers that are good enough would NEVER do this. Jeudy know he’s weak… And he’s an agent. I honestly think dude is sabotaging,” another fan bluntly stated.
“That was disrespectful the way he was in his face. I’m happy Shedeur was calm. Thank god the center came over and pushed him out his face. I only watched the Browns because of Shedeur Sanders #12,” said another fan admitting that they only watch the Browns because of Shedeur Sanders.”
“It’s good to know more people noticed that nonsense. That clown owes Shedeur a public apology,” demanded another fan on X.
Is The Sabotaging of Shedeur Sanders A Concocted Conspiracy Theory?
Other fans agreed that Jerry Jeudy was out of line. But not all agreed that Jeudy is in on some sort of sabotage plan led by Stefanski.
“Now i agree that jeudy shouldn’t have done that but for the love of god stop with this stefanski is trying to sabotage shedeur,” begged one fan on X. “If shedeur looks good then stefanski would keep his job. He made extra practice periods for shedeur to work. He watches extra film with him to prepare.”
Now Jerry Jeudy has been caught up in the conspiracy theory that Kevin Stefanski and Cleveland brass don’t want Shedeur Sanders to shine. That narrative has created another layer of discussions for fans to engage in.
“Shedeur doing the heavy lifting on Browns viewership, that’s for sure,” noted one fan on X.
Regardless of where you stand on Shedeur Sanders, his NFL quarterback journey is getting the Browns more national attention than the franchise has ever had.
‘I Don’t Bow Down’: Dillon Brooks Drops 33 Points, Tells LeBron James To Wipe Smile Off His Face Because The Phoenix Sun Is ‘Still Rising’
Is Dillon Brooks a better basketball player than LeBron James at this point?
When it’s all said and done, Brooks will never be remembered or revered in the way that LeBron James is, but my grandma told me, “If you live enough, you’ll see everything” and that holds true for the weird dynamics of their tumultuous relationship.
Brooks has never been an All-NBA caliber player, but he’s been one royal pain in LeBron James’ buttocks throughout his seven-year career. Brooks averages just 14 points per game in his career, and although he’s always been known as a capable scorer and antagonistic defender, he’s never been a better player than the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
But how the tides have changed. Monday night’s 125-108 thrashing of LeBron James’ surging Lakers squad by Brooks’ Phoenix Suns was a clear example. James struggled from the field (3 of 10) and produced just 10 points, 0 rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes as the Lakers’ seven-game win streak was snapped. It was a disaster of a game for James. Meanwhile Brooks clearly outplayed his old nemesis, scoring a team-high 33 points and leading his Suns (13-9) to the upset.
While the NBA’s all-time leading scorer continues to get comfortable in new role as third option, behind Austin Reaves and Luka Doncic, Brooks is in the prime of his career, still elevating his game – and still talking junk to LeBron James.
Dillon Brooks Doesn’t Bow Down To LeBron, He’s Still Rising
After the game, Brooks was asked about an exchange he had with James. Brooks didn’t hesitate to talk greasy about King James, same as he always has. James was having too much fun on the bench in Brooks’ opinion.
Dillon Brooks on if LeBron James took offense to his trash talk:
“Obviously you and LeBron have a history, what was going on at the bench with him and you?,” a reporter asked Brooks after the game.
“I’m a competitor,” Brooks responded. “I don’t really like the smiling and giggling and all that… letting him know that I’m here and I’m still rising.
“He took offense to you talking to him, cause he turned around?,” the reporter noted.
“Always. Always,” Brooks said. “He likes people that are going to bow down. I don’t bow down.” (LeBron doesn’t like) people who entice him or aggravates him…”
LeBron and Dillon Brooks Have A History
Back in 2023, when Dillon Brooks got an $80M bag from Houston, he opened up about his infamous dustup with LeBron James during the 2022 playoffs as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies and the villain persona that he’s courted and has been thrust upon him. He said he wasn’t fazed and was committed to being the same dog to the Rockets.
“I feel like I always had him. I feel like that series was thrown upon me cause of the words that I say, but I’ve been saying things all year and we won 50 games,” Brooks said in an interview with Sportsnet.
“I feel like I always had him. I feel like that series was thrown upon me cause of the words that I say, but I’ve been saying things all year and we won 50 games.”

The 29-year-old has brought that tough mindset to Phoenix.
Is Dillon Brooks A Better Player Than LeBron James At This Point?
LeBron has had few opponents who were as steady and deliberate with their defensive strategies and unrelenting trash talk like Brooks. In the past, Brooks has had his ups and downs against LeBron, and his team has usually come out on the losing end. His confrontational posture and continuous on-court harassment was looked upon as a joke to most people, particularly when Brook’s offensive game took the day off, while chasing James all around the court.
"I'm a competitor man. I don't really like the smiling, the giggling and all that. Just letting him know I'm here and I'm still rising."
Dillon Brooks on his interaction with LeBron James in Suns 125-108 win over Lakers.
That was then. Brooks is indeed “rising” as he described it and James is clearly on the way out. We know that Brooks wanted LeBron to respect the ass-whipping that his team took. Brooks wanted LeBron to know that he knows James is not the same guy. The Suns are the seventh-best team in the Western Conference, and the Lakers (15-5) are in second place, but the gap between LeBron James and Dillon Brooks as players is closing in real time.
The 6-foot-7 forward is averaging a career-high 22.3 points per game, good for Top 30 in the NBA and second on the team to Devin Booker (25 ppg). Brooks also leads the team in steals while shooting over 46 percent from the field. In the larger scheme of things, he is a better player than LeBron James at this point in his career, and he wasn’t going to give up the opportunity to rub it in. Who knows how long it will last?
‘Rap Queens Winning’: Fans Celebrate Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s Upgraded Love With Athletes Stefon Diggs and Klay Thompson
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are the envy of all women these days. Cardi B rebounded from a tumultuous and infidelity-ridden marriage with rapper Offset and immediately jumped into a love affair with notorious playboy Stefon Diggs, who reportedly had at least three other children with women this year. The couple just had a baby of their own and seem very content with the current arrangements.
Video Celebrates Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion Leaving Rappers For Pro Athletes
A recent video shows the New England Patriots wide receiver and the iconic rapstress enjoying time together in a car bouncing to rap music, sporting huge smiles while Diggs leans over and gives Cardi a peck on the face.
“Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion both dating men that truly deserve them after being through so much of these male rappers,” the post captioned.

Megan Thee Stallion is also a rebound queen, after several rocky relationships with rappers – one which sent her alleged lover Tory Lanez, to a lengthy prison term for allegedly shooting her in the foot – she has stumbled upon an NBA legend in Klay Thompson. After years of living larger than life as one half of the four-time NBA champion “Splash Brothers” aligned with Steph Curry, the son of former Lakers star Michael Thompson has settled in with the Houston-born rap goddess, and she is documenting and celebrating every step along the way.
That same video cut to Megan Thee Stallion sharing time in a car listening to some country western music while fondling Klay’s chin with her hands while he explains the moment:
“Outfit inspired by baby Megan Jovon Ruth Pete,” the Dallas Mavericks guard said.
Social Media Praises Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion: New Love Stories with Pro Athletes
Cardi B and Meg Thee Stallion have endured social media tracks for their life choices, particularly with men. However, they both also have a resounding amount of support, especially from their female fans. If these women were considered superheroes before, the way they have finally both seemed to dip into a much-maligned but desired pool of pro athletes to find stability in their love lives is championed as an overcoming of the odds that we don’t often see.

“Megan got her a good looking man, and she was in that kitchen cooking it down for Thanksgiving, giving her man that real soul food,” another fan rejoiced.
“Okay athletes it is,” quipped another.
“So happy for them,” one fan said.
“Rap queens winning,” another posted on X.
“They both deserve happiness,” added another supporter.
“Why u targeting all male rappers now…foh,” objected one fan who is against this recent boosting of athletes.

Other fans weren’t as kind in their responses.
“THEY BOTH FOR THE STREETS BIGFOOT BARNEY AND BOTCHED FACE PULLED BEHIND HER EARS,” one insulting fan posted.
“One is sharing man and the other is rented,” another posted in the comments.
“Steffon has 4 women pregnant at the same time….are you seriously this stupid,” said a third fan.
“One had a baby to prove she a Hoe the other A man and can’t have kids,” a fourth fan recklessly commented
Stefon Diggs and Klay Thompson Considered Greats Of The Game Past Peak
Both athletes are still productive players in the heat of the battle for teams expected to perform.
Diggs, 32, is the No. 1 receiver on the No. 1 NFL team. Diggs is 11th in the NFL with 64 grabs for 705 yards for the New England Patriots (11-2). Thompson, 35, is a four-time NBA champion who is now a sharp-shooting role player for the rebuilding Dallas Mavericks. His game has been off this season, averaging just 10.9 points per game while connecting on just 36.8 percent of his field goals and 34.6 percent of his three-pointers. The Dallas Mavericks have been hurt by injuries and lack of chemistry, stumbling to a 6-15 record this season.
However, in a recent 23-point explosion against the Los Angeles Clippers, Thompson set a record for the “most games in NBA history with 20+ points & two or fewer free throws attempted,” according to Real Sports via X.
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion Have Inspired Women To Give Love Another Chance
Despite the backlash, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are winning in the eyes of millions across the globe. At the end of the day, no matter how successful or how much money she makes, a girl from the hood’s final dream is to find that gentle, successful prince charming that she can show off to the world and truly be complete as a woman.
The timing seems to have been perfect for both couples, and nothing is guaranteed, but murky details and past history aside, something seems to be working and both women are openly celebrating their relationships and living without any regrets.
‘Everyone In The Building Wants Him To Play’: Dillon Gabriel’s Fiancé Zo Caswell Drops Bombshell About Legitimacy Of Shedeur Sanders’ Starting Role
Dillon Gabriel‘s fiancé ZoCaswell has been holding him down since high school and the couple got engaged in September 2024. She’s gotten a front row seat to the ups and downs, twists and turns and social media NFL soap opera involving Gabriel, who was a third-round selection by the Cleveland Browns (2025 NFL Draft) and Shedeur, chosen with the 144th pick of the fifth round of that same draft.
After Shedeur Sander’s 26-8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Caswell hopped on a social media post to share some insider perspective on the entire situation. Caswell claims “everyone in the building wants him (Gabriel) to play.”
She also went right at a person’s anti-Gabriel comments on the post, adding “But you wouldn’t know that bc you’ve never played in the NFL or been a couch (coach) right.”
Dillon Gabriel’s significant other claims “everyone in the building wants him to play.” pic.twitter.com/TrDzDsf83m
Caswell has been vocal in her support of Dillon, particularly concerning his battle with fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders. At first, everything was sweet with Shedeur carrying a cloud of a social media circus, buried on the depth chart and Gabriel thrust into the starting position. But the tides quickly switched, and the people’s demands to see Shedeur grew. Gabriel suffered a concussion in a game against the Baltimore Ravens and The Shedeur Sanders Era in Cleveland began.
Fans Accuse Kevin Stefanski, OC Tommy Rees Of Sabotaging Shedeur Sanders
His NFL debut start resulted in a win over the Raiders and just like that, Gabriel was a backup again.
The people finally got what they wanted, but there was still an uneasy vibe that head coach Kevin Stefanski wasn’t committed to Sanders succeeding. During Sunday’s 26-8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, it seemed that OC Tommy Rees didn’t want to take the training wheels off of Shedeur. After tossing a 34-yard TD strike, he was rarely allowed opportunities downfield again. Some even suggested the coaching staff was purposely holding Shedeur back from showcasing his arm talent.
Seems like Shedeur was heating and they took the ball out his hands. Cleveland Browns are tanking and Shedeur has to live with it for now
There seems to be a disconnect between Cleveland ownership and management and the fans who clamored for Shedeur. This was the case from the beginning, so for Caswell to have to try and drop a wet blanket on the Shedeur Sanders situation seems like sour grapes.
Fans Attack Dillon Gabriel’s Girlfriend Zo Caswell For Social Media Comments
Caswell’s comment was interpreted as her justification for why Gabriel was benched for Sanders after clearing concussion protocols. She suggested that the head coach and the coaching staff and the owner (who admitted he didn’t want to draft Shedeur in the first place), have succumbed to media pressure.
“By that she means Stefanski and Rees. Not the players. That explains why they keep pouring ice cold water on Shedeur when he gets hot. Shout out to her for speaking out. I hope she keeps doing it,” one person commented on X, accusing the Browns coaching staff of holding Sanders back when they should be letting him flex his arm talent.

Caswell got backlash from fans who felt that she should have just stayed quiet instead of stirring drama. It’s not a good look.
“Didn’t have Gabriel’s loved ones making a mockery of the #Browns before Shedeur’s on my preseason bingo card but here we are,” quipped one fan.
“She’s wrong cuz she ain’t in the building …. Folks don’t even understand why they drafted him at all,” another fan added.
“So sad for her … must be difficult to live with Sanders fans always on you … Dillon is better with Quick decision but he has no arm … I think Shedeur will improve and be better with time and not Dillon,” one netizen sympathized.
“It must suck to be a player in nfl drama and have your significant other just spewing random nonsense that makes you look bad online,” a second netizen posted on X.
Cleveland Browns Fans Want Zo Caswell To Remain Silent While Shedeur Remains Starter
A growing legion of fans believe Shedeur is the better quarterback following Gabriel’s unimpressive four-game stretch as starter. To his credit, Gabriel has thrown seven TDs and just two picks this season, but Shedeur is preferred for his ability to pass the ball downfield.
“i would bet my life savings, no one wants dillon gabriel bro,” a fan said.
Another fan replied, “As soon as DG got in the game yesterday, he almost got someone hurt from throwing a hospital ball.”
Most fans thought that Caswell should have stayed out of her man’s business. He’s already on rocky ground and taking shots at Shedeur, who currently is at the height of his popularity, brings unwanted negative attention to a situation that has been at the center of NFL news.
The impact of Sanders’ polarizing first season has even made it to the White House. President Trump has been offering his support to the former Colorado QB ever since his shocking drop to the fifth-round of the NFL Draft. Shedeur is 1-1 with a 3-9 team that looks to be tanking for draft picks. Who knows what the future holds, but Dillon Gabriel’s girl let us know that they aren’t happy with what’s going on.

When Did Zo Caswell and Dillon Gabriel Meet?
Caswell met Gabriel during a summer orientation in Hawaii and has been by his side throughout his college football career, often attending his games.
In a January 2023 TikTok video, she shared a few more details about their relationship, including how they dated long-distance for three years while he played football at the University of Central Florida. When Gabriel transferred to the University of Oklahoma, he asked Caswell to move with him.
Caswell once told KOIN that she still gets “anxious” and “stressed out” watching him play.
“I’m a mess, honestly,” she told the outlet. “Everything goes through my mind, but it is fun at the same time and obviously when you get the win at the end of the day it’s the best.”
‘That’s A Rude Question To Ask’: Shedeur Sanders Shoots Down Reporter Trying To Pit Him Against Head Coach Kevin Stefanski
The Cleveland Browns didn’t fare too well in rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ second start and first home start. The Browns fell (26-8) to the San Francisco 49ers at Huntington Bank Field located on the shores of Lake Erie. Sanders, had an average game, passing for 149 yards and one touchdown on 16-25 passing.
Sanders was sacked three times, and besides his 34-yard touchdown pass to tight end Harold Fannin Jr., there wasn’t much else to cheer about expect edge rusher Myles Garrett adding to his sack total (19), making him the first player in league history to post 19 sacks in just 12 games. Garrett coming close to setting the sack record wasn’t the talk of the locker room at game’s end, that was reserved for Sanders and Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Reporter Sets The Trap Shedeur Doesn’t Fall For The Bait
Speaking with reporters in his postgame presser, Sanders discussed what he needs to improve at to give the team a better chance at winning. Sanders’ self accountability has been on full display each time he’s touched the field, and Sunday was no different. When a reporter attempted to get him to talk about the aforementioned Stefanski, Sanders shot him down with this response.
“I mean first that’s a rude question to ask if I think if it was a great call by my coach,” Sanders said. “… I like being out there playing. So, whatever that comes with it comes with. We’re not going to be here and ever point no finger at no coach or do anything like that. That’s extremely disrespectful. That’s not even in my place.”
The question was in relation to Stefanski taking more risks with Sanders at quarterback than he did with Dillon Gabriel. The gameplan looks to be totally different when Sanders is under center versus when Gabriel is. Some believe it’s an attempt to sabotage Sanders, and based on his actions towards Sanders since he’s been in Cleveland it would hard for him to argue any other way.
Stating that he knows he needs to be better in order to lead and help the Browns win, Sanders told reporters this…
“Obviously we lost, so I ain’t play well,” Sanders said. “There’s definitely things on film I’m going to look back and want to get back and want to see but at least moving forward I know what we could do differently going about the week and being able to get fully, fully prepared for every possibility.”
“Even when I shoot my shot and I miss, I just got to keep shooting and keep bringing everybody together. I know the offense and the team is counting on me to do my job and do what I gotta do and I feel like I failed them today,” he added.
The Browns only score of Sunday’s loss to Niners came on tight end Harold Fannie Jr.’s 34-yard touchdown catch.
It was the fourth 30-plus-yard pass of his brief NFL career — double what Joe Flacco (two) and Gabriel (zero) managed between them this season. What Sanders lacks in experience, he more than makes up for in confidence, swagger, bravado and big-play ability.
What’s Next For Sanders?
With the Browns out of the playoff picture for a while now, the aforementioned Stefanski announced that Sanders will be the team’s Week 14 starter against the Titans. The game could go a long way in determining who will have the No.1 pick in April’s draft.
But, it will be another opportunity for Sanders to showcase his talents while facing No.1 overall pick and friend Cam Ward.
‘Organize A Canned Food Drive’: Odell Beckham Jr. Tells “Pivot Podcast” It’s Been Hard Making Ends Meet With Five-Year, $100 Million Contract
Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has enjoyed many highs and lows throughout his NFL career. The former LSU standout who popped on the scene as a rookie in 2014 when he made an improbable one-handed catch versus the Dallas Cowboys in primetime, was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year that season. It looked like OBJ was destined for greatness, but things aren’t always as they seem.
In five of his first six seasons, OBJ finished with over 1,000 yards receiving yearly and a grand total of 48 touchdowns. His seventh season is where things started to unravel, albeit injuries, lack of self-discipline and other factors, and since then OBJ hasn’t surpassed 565 yards receiving in any of those seasons. Beckham was even suspended for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs, and suspended the first six games of this season. The talented but at times mercurial receiver was reinstated earlier this month and recently appeared on “The Pivot Podcast,” where he discussed money and NFL contracts.
HEARTBREAKING: Former #Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. talks about the struggles of 100 million contract & how the money does not last forever.
“You give somebody a 5-year, $100 million contract. It’s 5 years for 60. We’re getting taxed: That’s 12 a year”pic.twitter.com/BbKsRjq4ML
During a recent visit to the podcast with host Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder, Beckham talked about NFL money and why it’s not as much as it seems. While with the New York Giants Beckham signed a five-year, $95 million deal, with $65 million fully guaranteed, despite landing what looked like life-changing money, Beckham told “The Pivot” that’s the money ain’t what it seems.
“You give somebody a 5-year, $100 million contract. It’s 5 years for 60. We’re getting taxed: That’s 12 a year”
“You’re getting taxed. Do the math—that’s $12M a year, you know, that you have to spend, use, save, invest, flaunt…”
Hearing OBJ almost cry over making $12 million a year to live off of and basically saying it isn’t enough while so many are living paycheck to paycheck is wild. In many ways it also proves how some athletes have a distorted sense of reality. He didn’t say $12K or $120K, he said $12 million, and that’s a monumental difference.

It didn’t take long for fans to come for OBJ in the aftermath of his comments…
“Someone should organize a canned food drive for Odell. The poor guy only made $12 million a year,” one fan said.
“Lol it’s ridiculous. There are people out here trying to survive on 40,000 a year he’s complaining about 12 million a year,” another fan said.
“It takes a professional victim to complain about a 100 million dollar paycheck,” another fan mentioned.
“Only 12 a year? Damn how he gonna feed his children,” another fan quipped.
OBJ Was On Track To Be Super Bowl MVP
While the aforementioned one-handed catch is probably Beckham’s most electrifying moment, the talented wideout was on track from something even bigger as he played for the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI. Prior to tearing his ACL on a catch in the second quarter, Beckham was the best player on the field, having scored a touchdown and two receptions for 52 yards.
Former teammate Jalen Ramsey called him “the igniter,” and believes had he not gotten hurt he would’ve hoisted the MVP trophy and not teammate at the time Cooper Kupp.
“Maybe He’s Not Close To His Family” | Former NFL QB Trevone Boykin Opens Up On Strange Thanksgiving At Former Teammate Russell Wilson’s House
Thanksgiving 2025 has come and gone, and while most are still indulging in leftovers of turkey, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, and sweet potato pie, former TCU Horned Frogs quarterback Trevone Boykin is oddly taking a dig at Russell Wilson. During a recent podcast Boykin talked about his experience spending the holiday with former teammate Russell Wilson a few years back.
The former undrafted signal caller who spent the 2016 season with the Seattle Seahawks recently opened up on the time Wilson invited him to Thanksgiving dinner, and, according to Boykin, the entire experience was strange for a myriad of reasons.
Boykin, in an episode of his “House of Playmakers” podcast, explained to his co-host and former TCU teammates Paul Dawson and Devonte Fields that it was rather peculiar to see hardly anyone at Wilson’s mansion, and where he comes from that just isn’t the norm during or around the holidays.
𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: Former NFL QB Trevone Boykin says Thanksgiving at Russell Wilson’s mansion felt “WEIRD” because none of his family was around for the holidays.
“I went to his [Wilson’s] house for Thanksgiving. The weirdest feeling. Like, he catered. … I come from a traditional country-ass Black family doing that. If I got as much money as Russell Wilson, my whole family would talk about me so bad if I ain’t fly everybody out there for Thanksgiving — and I’m sponsored by an airline.”
“Maybe, maybe he’s not close to his family,” Dawson said.
“Maybe he not, but his mama wasn’t there. Sisters wasn’t there,” Boykin replied. “You know what I’m saying? Even though, like … still weird to me. I’m just still, even if you don’t fool with your family, like, it’s still weird to me on Thanksgiving. My family going to do the food. This is what we’re going to do. If you the one with the money we coming to yo’ house.”
To hear Boykin bring this up is extremely disrespectful when you consider Wilson invited him into his personal to celebrate the holidays. And here we are years later and Boykin for some reason feels the need to talk about it.
It didn’t take long for fans to chime in on Boykin’s comments, and most were of the negative variety.
“He’s about to get 0 invites to any and all family gatherings from now on. Nobody’s gonna want him around them now. I’m sure it was strictly his energy that made it weird,” a fan said.
“So he invites you to his crib for thxgvg and you go on a pod talking sh-t about him,” another fan said.
“This probably the reason he don’t invite much ppl to his crib for thanksgiving. Circle bout to get smaller now,” another fan said.
“This n-gga was at Russell house and not with his own family talking like this,” another fan mentioned.
“Safe to say he’s not invited anymore,” said another fan.
“This n-gga low-key hating for no reason. Like bruh, you didn’t have to go and he didn’t have to invite you,” mentioned another fan.
The fans are correct. What gives Boykin the right or audacity to talk about the man who invited him into his space to celebrate Thanksgiving because he obviously had nowhere else to go?
Wilson Turns 37
On Saturday the likely future Hall of Famer celebrated his 37th trip around the sun. Although things haven’t gone great on the field the last couple seasons in Denver, Pittsburgh and now New York, Wilson has still shown the leadership that shows his true professionalism. As he sits as the Giants third-string or emergency quarterback these days at least he has his beautiful wife Ciara, who pinned this message to him on his birthday.
“On this day a Legend and the most beautiful man I’ve ever known was born! It’s a gift to celebrate you, a gift to do life with you, a gift to wake up to you every morning. Here’s to you getting younger and keeping this Cougar on her toes lol. My Rock, my Best Friend, my Greatest Inspiration! 3+7 = 10 and that you are!:) Happy Birthday Baby @DangeRussWilson. l love you so much!”
‘He’s Definitely Been A Supporter’: The Love Affair Between President Trump and Shedeur Sanders Is Prime Example Of Why Sports and Politics Don’t Mix
Shedeur Sanders has had his adamant detractors and his prominent supporters. Among them is President Donald Trump, who has been vocal about what he perceives as mistreatment by the NFL towards the Browns rookie quarterback dating back to his unfathomable drop from Top 10 prospect to the fifth round.
Sanders Thanks President Trump Again For Support After Winning NFL Debut
In his first NFL start Sanders led the Browns to their third victory of the season over the Vegas Raiders and his supporters were elated to see him meet the challenges of the moment, under immense pressure.
“Shedeur Sanders was GREAT,” President Trump posted on the Truth Social media platform. “Wins first game, career start, as a pro. Great Genes. I TOLD YOU SO!” Trump wrote on the social media platform.
Sanders made sure to thank President Trump again after he was asked about their relationship by a reporter as he prepares for his second start on Sunday against a tough San Francisco 49ers team.
BREAKING: NFL QB Shedeur Sanders on President Trump’s support:
“I’m just thankful for him even taking time out of his day to be able to speak out and support.” pic.twitter.com/aZknF6r2jv
“Yeah, he definitely has been a supporter, for a minute, ” Sanders said. “So I’m just thankful for him for even taking time out of his day to be able to speak and support.”
President Trump Demands That NFL Team Draft Shedeur Sanders
As Shedeur Sanders started dropping in the draft and the snub became a lightning rod issue transcending the world of sports, none other than President Trump himself, put out a statement on X, admonishing the draft process and the fact that Shedeur Sanders hadn’t been picked yet.
“What’s wrong with NFL owners,” the President posted. Are they STUPID? Deion Sanders was a great college football player and was even greater in the NFL. He’s also a very good coach, streetwise and smart! Therefore, Shedeur, his quarterback son, has PHENOMENAL GENES, and is all set for Greatness. He should be “picked” IMMEDIATELY by a team that wants to WIN. Good luck Shedeur and say hello to your wonderful father”
After the President’s social post, the Browns finally took Sanders, two days later. Fast forward to Monday’s press conference. One reporter asked the press secretary, “Does the President think he deserves credit for Sanders getting picked and does he think going to the Browns is better than being undrafted?”
President Trump’s Team Takes Credit For Shedeur Sanders Finally Getting Picked In Fifth Round Of 2025 NFL Draft
White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt responded: “All I will say is the president put out a statement, and a few rounds later he was drafted, so I think the facts speak for themselves.”
Following his shocking draft slide which saw him go from sure-fire first-round pick to the fifth-round and 144th overall selection, Sanders was eager to show all the teams who passed on him repeatedly that they made a mistake. Speaking with the media during a whirlwind mini-camp Sanders was asked how he felt about the president’s backing during his draft slide, Sanders made sure to thank President Donald Trump and others for their overwhelming support in his time of need.
“I was truly thankful for it, including him, there were a lot of fans, people in barber shops, a lot of hairstylists, there a lot of fans you know, of me and of my craft and of my family, that was there for support. I was just thankful that I have that foundation of people that we can all come together as one.”
Shedeur Sanders and President Trump Love Affair Is Why Sports Love and Political Love Is Two Different Beasts
Despite Trump’s support things haven’t been easy for Shedeur. After being ignored by upper brass and placed fourth on the depth chart, Sanders had to work his way up by practicing with guys who would probably never see a down on the field. Then without taking any first team reps all season he was thrust into the third quarter of a nasty game against desperate AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens who had already knocked starting rookie QB Dillon Gabriel out of the game.
Sanders did the best he could under the circumstances, even giving the Browns a chance to tie the game late. His 4-for-16 performance was picked apart by his haters, but optimists saw a glimpse of hope that he could perform much better if given the proper preparation.
The most polarizing player in the NFL has played just six quarters and he’s the talk of the league, with major support from the President despite the fact that much of the President’s supporters always have something negative to say about Shedeur.
It’s an odd dynamic that can’t be denied and as Shedeur gains more success in the NFL Trump will probably ride that wave and take some credit for his success.
“He’s Michael Vick With Better PR” | Joe Burrow’s College Teammate Breiden Fehoko Says ‘Ravens Will Never Win Super Bowl’ With Lamar Jackson
In the aftermath of a surprising 32-14 Cincinnati Bengals win over the Baltimore Ravens, former Steelers and Chargers defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko, who was a member of the LSU Tigers’ 2019 national championship squad, took to X to express his feelings about Lamar “Action” Jackson as a player:
Former Steelers and Chargers DT Breiden Fehoko doesn’t have much faith in Lamar Jackson’s postseason capabilities.
"Ravens will never win a Super Bowl behind Lamar Jackson man. The individual regular season accolades will never equate to winning football in the playoffs. He’s… pic.twitter.com/MBcqc3i9kK

NFL Player Says Lamar Jackson Isn’t Good Enough To Win Super Bowl
Jackson’s recent inconsistency led Joe Burrow’s former teammate to take to X and say Jackson ain’t the guy to bring a third Lombardi Trophy to “Charm City.”
“Ravens will never win a Super Bowl behind Lamar Jackson man. The individual regular season accolades will never equate to winning football in the playoffs. He’s Michael Vick with better PR.”
Fehoko’s opinion about Jackson and the Ravens has been the noise in and around Baltimore and the league for a couple seasons now. Folks wanna know what Jackson has to do to take that next step in the playoffs after finding plenty of it in the regular season.
Fehoko Comparing Jackson To Vick Is A Huge Stretch
Fehoko unfairly likened the two-time NFL MVP Jackson to QB pioneer Michael Vick. Vick was a dynamic playmaker in his own right, but nowhere near the all-around talent that Jackson is. Just look at the numbers and how pale in comparison. In his 13-year career Vick completed just over 56 percent of his passes for over 22,000 yards, 133 touchdowns and 88 interceptions. On the ground he rushed for over 6,100 yards and 36 touchdowns.
Jackson, who’s in his eighth season has two MVPs, which carry plenty of weight, but his numbers are also much better than Vick’s. Jackson has passed for nearly 22,000 yards, 181 touchdowns and just 53 interceptions, while rushing for just about 6,500 yards and 34 touchdowns.
Yes, both are legendary dual-threat signal callers, but that’s where the comparisons end.
Lamar Jackson Had Best Year Of Career In 2024
In 2024, Jackson probably should’ve won a third MVP, as he lit the league up. The shifty gunslinger passed for 4,197 yards, 41 touchdowns and just four interceptions with a league-leading 73.9 completion percentage. He also toted the mail for 915 yards and four more scores. But, what resonates on the minds of most including Fehoko, is how many mistakes Jackson made in the playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.
This year Jackson hasn’t been nearly as dynamic (1,841 passing yards and 254 rushing yards) and a grand total of 16 touchdowns. While he has missed some games due to injury, he hasn’t looked anything like the guy we’ve come to know.
BaltimoreRavens Will Need Jackson’s Best To Make Playoffs
At 6-6 with five games left and in a tight race with the Steelers, who are 6-5 with a huge home game against the Buffalo Bills this weekend, the Ravens need to see the Lamar that terrorizes defenses weekly. Especially with the gantlet they have to finish the season (Steelers twice, Patriots, Bengals, Packers).
The Ravens are likely still in shock following their ugly 32-14 home loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, who are now 4-8. In the Thanksgiving night tilt, the Bengals got back their franchise quarterback Joe Burrow after he was lost in Week 2 of this season to a toe injury. The former Heisman Trophy-winning signal caller’s return seemed to provide a spark for one of the worst defenses in the league.
The Bengals defense under first-year coordinator Al Golden forced the Baltimore Ravens and star quarterback Jackson into five turnovers, three (two fumbles and an interception) by Jackson. It was arguably the worst game Jackson has ever played as a Raven, and in some ways it’s sort of been who he is this season. The loss ended the Ravens’ five-game winning streak that put them right in the AFC North race.
‘Who Carries $200k In Jewelry Around?’: $84M New York Knicks Player Is Latest Pro Athlete To Become Victim Of Pricey Theft
Times are hard in this country and regardless of the economic climate, pro athletes get the bag. Add New York Knicks star Josh Hart to the list of athletes who have been the victims of thefts, losing hundreds of thousands in the process.
New York Knicks star Josh Hart robbed of $185,000 worth of watches and jewelry from his hotel room at The Dominick in SoHo on Sept. 5, police say. Josh Hart Victim Of $185K Jewelry Theft At SoHo Hotel
The 30-year-old baller had $185K worth of watches and jewelry stolen from the SoHo hotel where he was staying earlier this year. According to reports Hart, who is averaging 10.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game this season for the 11-6 Knicks.
Hart reportedly dropped off a duffle bag inside The Dominick Hotel on Spring Street around 12.30pm on September 5. Upon his return, a case containing his three watches and one bracelet was gone. No arrests have been made in the case.
Josh Hart Is Latest NBA Player To Become Victim Of Theft: Social Media Reacts
“The most NYC thing ever is blaming Hart for traveling with his belongings and not the miserable soul that stole his possessions,” one sympathetic fan said.
Some fans took it there and straight up questioned the validity of the story, while offering their own theories of how Hart lost his jewels.
“Check the employees. How else would someone get in the room,” asked one suspicious netizen.
“Why does he need a hotel room when it wasn’t an away game?” another curious commenter contemplated.
“Cheating,” another bluntly replied with no proof to back it up.
Hart Has Made Close To $85M During NBA Career
Hart is not hurting in the pockets and some fans found it comical that he’s making nearly $20 million this season and has career earnings of almost $84 million over nine NBA seasons, yet this theft is a story.
“No man should ever have $185,000 worth of jewelry. And especially you don’t need to travel with it. SMH,” quipped one X user.
“Who carries $200k in jewelry around in a duffle bag?” an NBA fan commented.
“Josh hart makes that much in one game. I’m sure he’s not losing sleep over this…,” another fan insisted.
A third fan followed with more sarcasm, saying, “Oh no how will he ever recover if only he was a multi-millionaire who made 20 million a year.”
Josh Hart Isn’t First High Profile Pro To Be Victim Of Theft In Past Few Years
Most recently, Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders‘ house in suburban Cleveland was reportedly burglarized during his first NFL regular appearance for the Browns earlier this month.
A year earlier, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Mahomes and teammate Travis Kelce had their homes raided during a game against the New Orleans Saints. While Joe Burrow, who made his return to the field in a 32-14 Cincinnati Bengals win over the Baltimore Ravens on Thanksgiving Day, had his Ohio home broken into as he led Cincinnati to a huge win against the Dallas Cowboys in Texas last season.
The NBA community has also been on alert. These home invaders don’t care if you are the biggest superstar in the sport. That’s only more reason for them to target you.
Reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander found that out this season when he was robbed after thieves allegedly targeted fellow NBA stars Luka Doncic, Ja Morant and Hart’s Knicks teammate, Karl-Anthony Towns, last season.
Pro athletes are living a dream, but their exorbitant salaries are well known and open to public consumption. Everyone from groupies to lawyers to fans to the common thief wants a piece of the action. They are always a target in some way. Actually, athletes are lucky if all that happens is a break-in with nobody home.
In the past, several athletes have been the victim of violent robberies.
Sean Taylor, Cleanthony Early, Ricky Pearsall
Former Washington Redskins legend Sean Taylor, who had starred at the University of Miami, was shot when he confronted a group of five young men attempting to break into his residence. He was shot and killed.
One of the men charged in the slaying, 25-year-old Jason Mitchell, attended a birthday party a few weeks earlier at the house for Taylor’s half-sister, Sasha Johnson – who lived in Fort Myers and knew the alleged triggerman Eric Rivera Jr. She testified that Taylor gave her a purse containing $10,000 in cash at the party, which was witnessed by all the guests.
San Francisco 49ers player Ricky Pearsall was shot in Union Square in San Francisco in an attempted robbery back in September of 2024. The suspect was also shot as Pearsall struggled with the gunman for his life. He was more fortunate than Sean Taylor.
‘Shedeur Sanders Is The Most Powerful Black Man Since 2009’: Kendrick Perkins Compares Cleveland Browns Rookie To Barack Obama
If ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins was attempting to get a reaction out of the masses on Thanksgiving, he succeeded with arguably the worst take he’s ever made.
Perkins, the former one-time NBA champion and defensive force who played 14 seasons in the league, has been known to exaggerate and stretch the truth a bit with his takes, and he did just when asked about Shedeur that during a recent podcast appearance.
Kendrick Perkins Says Shedeur Sanders Is Most Powerful Player In Sports
“Shedeur Sanders is the most powerful Black man since 2009,” Perkins began. “You know what happened in 2009? That’s when President (Barack) Obama got elected in office. He’s the most powerful Black man since 2009… When Shedeur Sanders is on the field … and when I say powerful, powerful because it’s two sides of it. Right? Think about it: You got the black community. He’s bringing the whole Black community together. I ain’t ran across one Black person that done said one bad thing about Shedeur.”
Perk even called the former Jackson State gunslinger “the most powerful player in sports.”
Kendrick Perkins says Shedeur Sanders is the most powerful black man since President Obama
“That’s because he has the balance. He has the balance of that ‘I’m arrogant, but I’m humble too,’” Perkins extolled. “He’s having fun with this. He’s the most powerful Black man in sports. As a matter of fact, he’s the most powerful player in sports.”
Using the words powerful, Barack Obama and Shedeur Sanders in the same sentence just doesn’t sit well with most fans. The correct word to describe Sanders would be polarizing.
Fans Clown Perkins For Comparing Shedeur Sanders To President Obama
It didn’t take long for fans to come for the former Boston Celtics center.
“Someone please take his mic. He doesn’t speak for us,” one fan said.
“Giving Kendrick Perkins a platform to speak was one of the worst mistakes anyone has ever made,” another fan said.
“Perk off the percs again,” mentioned another fan.
“That’s the dumbest comparison I’ve ever heard,” quipped another fan.
“Sometimes I can’t tell the difference between sarcasm and stupidity,” another fan spewed.
“Kendrick Perkins is the most retarded Black man since Beetlejuice,” one fan said.
Sanders Ready For Second Start
In his first career start Sanders played OK, going 11-20 for 209 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Browns (24-10) win. Although his play wasn’t good enough to earn a game ball or hardly much praise from head coach Kevin Stefanski, Sanders isn’t letting it affect his confidence as he heads into his second start.
“I think I showed a couple of great pieces, and there’s some things I wish I could get back,” Sanders said after his big win. “But, man, a win is crazy. It’s amazing. You know? Off of one week of practice. This is one week of practice! So imagine what a full offseason look like! It get dangerous!”
“A lot of people want to see me fail and … it ain’t gonna happen. It ain’t gonna happen,” he vowed.
Cleveland Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders is set to make his second career start this weekend. The task will be much tougher than the former Colorado Buffaloes’ star first start against the hapless Raiders, as the Browns host the 8-4 San Francisco 49ers in Sanders first home start.
Browns fans showed up in droves last weekend in Vegas for Sanders’ first start, and the expectancy is they’ll pack out Huntington Bank Field on the shores of Lake Erie to see the quarterback that most have been clamoring with team brass to play for his first home start. Ever since his draft plummet from first-round talent to fifth-round pick, all eyes have been on Coach Prime’s youngest son and the Browns organization, and, according to ESPN NBA analyst Kendrick “Big Perk” Perkins, all that’s done is make Shedeur the “most powerful black man since 2009.”
‘This Fight Has To Be Rigged’: Jake Paul Releases Top 10 Overrated Athletes List As Fans Doubt His $267M Fight With Anthony Joshua Will Happen
As Jake Paul prepares for his toughest fight and first against a legitimate heavyweight contender in Anthony Joshua on December 19th in Miami, Florida, the YouTube sensation continues to provide content that reminds everyone why he has gotten himself to this point. Paul has no problem hyping his boxing matches. He almost had everyone convinced that the Mike Tyson fight was legit…almost.
🚨 JAKE PAUL AND ANTHONY JOSHUA FACE OFF FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER
Jake Paul Names His Top 10 Most Overrated Athletes Of All Time
Trending on social media was Paul’s list of his Top 10 most overrated athletes of all-time. He delivered a shot at his upcoming heavyweight opponent, who holds about a six-inch advantage over Paul in height and reach, by including Joshua on his most overrated list.
“These are all facts,” Paul said in an Instagram video, while sitting on a couch.
Babe Ruth (MLB): “overrated”
Trevor Lawrence (NFL): “Overpaid and overrated”
Cristiano Ronaldo (Soccer): “This is going to piss off a lot of people”
Ryan Garcia (Boxer)
Connor McGregor (MMA)
Dak Prescott (NFL): “Insanely overrated”
Anthony Edwards (NBA): “Overrated”
Canelo Alvarez (Boxer)
Tua Tagovailoa (NFL)
Anthony Joshua
Jake Paul’s Fight Against Anthony Joshua Is His First True Test As True Heavyweight
Instead of a nearly 60-year-old Tyson or some MMA bum or former athlete turned boxer, the 28-year-old Paul will be facing a fighter who is not that far past his prime.
Anthony Joshua is a two-time heavyweight champion, holding unified WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight titles from 2017 to 2019 and 2019 to 2021. In addition, his resume is blessed with Olympic Gold in 2012 while representing Great Britain in the super-heavyweight division.
While Paul’s boxing career is still considered an entertaining hustle to most fans, Joshua has battled and battered some of the prominent fighters of the past few decades, including Wladimir Klitschko. Joshua has also tasted the agony of embracing defeats like his upset loss to Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2019. Despite recent setbacks, he remains a prominent figure in boxing and continues to pursue titles.
The heavyweight fight between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua will be an eight-round fiasco (3-minute rounds) that came to fruition after a canceled bout between Paul and troubled lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis.
There have been mixed opinions when it comes to the perception of the bout. Whilst some are crediting Paul for upping the level of competition he is facing, others are bashing ‘AJ’ for taking the bout.
Joe Rogan, Frank Martin Give Jake Paul His Props
UFC commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan has offered his take on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, featuring Chris Williamson.
Rogan expressed the idea of the bout as “realistically, it’s one of the craziest propositions of all time.” The podcast host then went on to discuss the bout in more detail.
“You take a guy who just had a boxing match, that looked like a sparring match, with a 58-year-old Mike Tyson. Then, you’re going to fight one of the absolute scariest knockout artists in the heavyweight division.”
“He’s going to be terrifying, and he’s going to have a lot to prove,” Rogan said. “He’s going to be very angry that Jake Paul wants to fight him.”
Boxer Frank Martin gives Jake Paul major props for taking this fight and says, “I wouldn’t consider Jake Paul a YouTube fighter anymore!”

Social Media Isn’t Convinced The Dec. 19 Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua Is Real. Will It Even Happen?
“What are the odds this fight actually happens?” asked one netizen.
“Literally eye level with his titties We’re going to see Jake Paul get laid tf out,” said one fan noting the size discrepancy between the fighters.
“This fight will never happen. It’s a great PR stunt for Jake Paul and that’s it,” insisted another fan on X.
“Yeah Jake is cooked he looks tiny,” noted a third fan.
Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua Is A Cash Cow: $267M Total Purse
The odds are pretty good considering the fight in a few weeks away and is expected to generate a massive bag for both fighters. Joshua has to cap his weight at 245, but that could allow him more space to work on his cardio. There’s plenty of people who want to see Jake Paul get his block knocked off. They were hoping Iron Mike would do it, but that match was uneventful, with Paul winning a decision.
Maybe Paul’s ambition and ego has outgrown his grip on reality. Maybe the fix is already in as Joshua and Paul stand to generate significant revenue, with a total purse of approximately $267 million. Each fighter is reportedly guaranteed $50 million, and the total revenue from the event could reach $200 million or more, depending on various factors such as PPV sales and sponsorships.
“This fight has to be rigged,” one fan commented on X
With all of this money at stake and life-changing purse money guaranteed, there’s really no reason for these guys to beat each other’s brains out trying to win a glorified exhibition. One thing for certain, Jake Paul knows how to get the bag. He’s made fantasy reality and people flock to see his latest business conquest.
“Love The Family. Not Every Play”: Theo Von’s Thirst Launched ESPN’s ‘Insufferable’ Obsession With Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia’s Mom Antoinette
The Vanderbilt Commodores are preparing to face their in-state rival Tennessee Volunteers at raucous Neyland Stadium. Led by star quarterback Diego Pavia, the Commodores are (9-2) and a win over the Vols would give the program its first 10-win season in school history. Prior to this season the Commodores last reached nine wins in 2013, and at that time is was only their fourth time ever doing so.
Diego Pavia’s Mother Antoinette Is New ESPN Star
Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia is the catalyst for the program’s turnaround under head coach Clark Lea a former fullback on the Commodores team from 2002-2004, but he isn’t alone. The Commodores have recruited at a high level, elevating the profile of the program. Also, Diego’s mom Antoinette Padilla, has become a fixture at Vandy football games and her face constantly shown on the game’s broadcast. Padilla’s been shown so often that ESPN college football analyst Joey Galloway is asking why this player’s mother is getting so much airtime.
Joey Galloway Wants To Know Why ESPN Constantly Has Camera On Diego Padilla’s Mom
Speaking on a recent episode of his “Nonstop” podcast with co-host Kirk Herbstreit, Galloway the former Ohio State legend and 16-year NFL veteran who tallied over 700 receptions for over 10,000 yards and 77 touchdowns didn’t hold back when discussing all the attention being given to Padilla during Vandy football games.
“Is there a camera on Pavia’s mother the entire game?. I’m just wondering. Just a question. Not saying it gets on my nerves. Just asking a question.”
“Can you put in a request … not every play,” added Galloway, 54. “I love the story. I love the family. Not every play.”
Antoinette Padilla Is Not Taylor Swift
Galloway even likened it to the attention given to Taylor Swift at Kansas City Chiefs games.
Herby responded as only he could with this…
“That’s a director’s decision,” Herbstreit said. “… I see the camera cut to her a lot.”
Based on a Tennessee’s fan reaction to Galloway’s comments, he isn’t the only one feeling that way about Padilla. In fact the fan said the attention given to her makes her “more insufferable than her son.”
That sounds about right coming from a Volunteers fan considering the rivalry, which has been one-sided in the Vols favor (81-32-5) overall with “Rocky Top” winning the last six matchups.
Theo Von Is To Blame For ESPN’s Obsession With Antoinette Padilla
If we’re being honest Pavia isn’t the reason his mom is getting all of this unnecessary attention. That distinction goes to actor/comedian Theo Von who during his first guest appearance on College Gameday attempted to shoot his shot at Padilla. He then crashed the Pavia’s interview on the “Nightcap” podcast with Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe and former Cincinnati Bengals legend Chad Ochocinco.
That first interaction during Vandy’s (31-7) win over South Carolina in mid-September started everything, and now it’s spiraled out of control.
Padilla All Over Television On Senior Day
During Vandy’s (45-17) senior day win over Kentucky, the camera cut to her almost as much as it did the game. Padilla, made sure she kept the cameras on her too, wearing a “Pavia for Heisman” shirt and dancing nonstop. Her son didn’t disappoint that day either passing for a school-record 484 yards and five touchdowns in the win. Pavia likely has two games left in his collegiate career. Saturday in Knoxville and the team’s bowl game, so at least Galloway will get his wish sooner than later.
‘Special. A Different Kind Of Man’: Brooklyn Rapper Papoose Has Boxing Champion Claressa Shields Breaking All The Rules
Boxing superstar Claressa Shields is flying high. The GWOAT boxer just signed an $8M deal that could bring her twice that amount if she plays her card right in and out of the ring, and her relationship with Brooklyn rapper Papoose has taken off into another stratosphere with both parties leaving behind previous baggage and appearing together regularly, celebrating their newfound union and peace.
Claressa Shields Tells Shannon Sharpe She Didn’t Date Celebrities Before Meeting Papoose
While Pap had a very public and lengthy marriage with ex-wife and rapper Remy Ma, Shields’ relationship was with a guy who was not a celebrity. Not that she hasn’t had offers to date another celebrity, but Shields appeared on “Uncle Shay Shay” with Shannon Sharpe to break down her rules of dating, prior to being swept off her feet by JIVE records’ original $1.5M man.
"I was against dating celebrities: rappers, NFL players, NBA. They dogs, and I'd whoop a dog's a**. Why am I going to let a grown man play with me? … I don't want to get played publicly. Celebrity men were off limits. Papoose was special. That's a different type of man." -… pic.twitter.com/MYWIvwgb8H
“I had just been engaged prior to being with Pap. So at the time, me and him had broken up and got back together a couple of times…the guy I was engaged to… So now we finally called it quits. When I got with Pap, another celebrity, it was already big enough being with a guy who wasn’t a celebrity and everybody being in our business. Now I’m with a celebrity and I didn’t know how it would work out.”
Shields told Sharpe that she would purposely steer clear of athletes, actors and the like.
“I was against dating celebrities, rappers, NFL players, NBA, cause I heard they were dawgs and I’ll whip a dog’s ass,” Shields bluntly told Unc.
Sharpe replied to the undefeated boxing champion:
“You can’t fight your boyfriend, everybody ain’t meant to be fought.”
“I don’t play that stuff. No… listen…Why I’m a let a grown man play with me for? When women get emotional that’s when they start doing all this crazy stuff. you hurt my feelings, and you hurt my pride, oh you gonna be a problem,” Claressa warned.
“You told me you have broken up with every guy you’ve been in a relationship with,” Sharpe recalls.
Claressa Shields Avoids Celebrity Men Because She Would Have To Whip On Them If They Play Her In Public
Shields says she doesn’t have time for the games and she’s a woman and gets emotional when a man is trying to embarrass her with infidelity and indiscretions of that nature. She has a fear of looking foolish in public. The rapper, who rose to fame as a lyrical arsonist featuring on the legendary DJ Kay Slay tapes and radio shows, changed everything for Shields.
“I just leave em’…Yes, I don’t want to get played publicly. Celebrity men was off limits,” Shields added. “Pap was special. Pap was special. I guess a different kind of man.”
That’s probably why she clapped back so hard at Remy Ma when the entire situation originally jumped off. It sparks months of debate about relationships and marriages and infidelity. Fans took sides and formed allegiances and went back and forth discussing the complex dynamics that were emerging, as Remy ranted at Papoose and Shields, in the aftermath of her own cheating scandal with battle rapper Eazy Tha Block Captain.
Shields came right back with her own fury, making diss songs and challenging Martin to throw the hands if she has a problem with her. It didn’t come down to fisticuffs between the boxer and the shooter. Both women chose to gracefully bow out, although it seemed like it took Remy longer to grasp that her marriage was truly over and the man that had been the one consistent force in her life – even as she sat in prison for six years for shooting her friend in a car – had truly moved onto the next chapter of his life.
Fans React To Claressa Shields’ ‘Club Shay Shay’ Interview
Fans were all over the place with their reactions to Shields’ comments. Some praised her honesty others thought the subject matter wasn’t becoming of her.
“At least she smart and know more than most, and I love how she’s unapologetic about her thoughts and experiences, it’s truly inspiring,” said one supportive fan.
“It’s cool for her to speak on her relationship but make it make sense,” complained one fan. “She never wanted to date a celebrity, but she’ll date a married celebrity? No, she dated him because she always had a crush on him from the black love, he showed Remy and she wanted that same love like most women do.”
Some fans just thought that her situation is too messy to be sprinkling cherries on top for the public.
“Is it a crime that I want to see more positivity from her and surrounding her?,” one fan asked.
They must have missed the other segments of her interview. Shields is a straight shooter and her interview with Sharpe covered many different aspects of her life and journey. But when it comes to her 30-year-old self, Papoose is clearly the man of the hour, and she celebrates him every chance she gets.
‘Ultra Corrupt’: Married Ex-NFL Player Who Heads Athletics At $80K Per Year New Jersey Private School Accused Of Creating Job For 38-Year-Old Side Piece
Ex-Vikings player Sullivan ‘Tripp’ Welborne, who is 57 and serves as Dean of Athletics and Co-Curricular Education at New Jersey’s most expensive private school is accused of having a ‘quid pro quo’ affair with a much younger colleague. It has risen to the proportions of a scandal that has now thrust the $80,000-a-year Lawrenceville School, founded in 1810, into the public eye.

Lawrenceville School Dean Of Athletics Accused Of Creating Job For Younger Love Interest: What Does Lawsuit Say?
According to a lawsuit, detailed by the New York Post on Sunday, the married Welborne is accused of creating a new job at the school for his side piece, much younger lover, 38-year-old Nicole Stock. He is accused of ‘using his position of power to entice [her] into a sexual relationship in exchange for preferential treatment.’
The lawsuit also claims that Welborne showered the younger employee with gifts, including an ATV to ride around the boarding school’s scenic campus near Princeton, where his two children are former students.
‘Welborne would spend gamedays riding around on Ms. Stock’s John Deere ATV,’ claims the lawsuit, which was filed by two former longtime employees.
The lawsuit against Lawrenceville School and Dean of Athletics Sullivan Wilborne claims that he bought employee Nicole Stock her own persona bro cruise campus. (The Lawrenceville School)
The unprofessional situation with Welborne and Stock was apparently one of the worst kept secrets among faculty. Karla Despinis and Richard Rienzo were fired in early 2025 after complaining about the alleged affair, court documents claim.
The school – which charges a whopping $80,690 for boarding tuition and $66,400 for day school and is very selective – ‘betrayed our clients,’ their lawyers said.
However, Lawrenceville feels that the lawsuit is more retribution for being fired than truth. A spokesperson for the prestigious school told the Post the institution ‘disagrees with the accusations of wrongdoing in the complaint and plans to vigorously defend our position.’
Who Is Sullivan Welborne?
Welborne was a two-time All-American while at Michigan (1987-1990) at safety and punt returner, before injuries shattered his NFL dreams with the Vikings. Welborne suffered a serious right knee injury in the 10th game of the 1990 season that required reconstructive surgery. After falling to the 7th round, he was unable to play during the 1991 NFL season. His attempt to comeback during the 1992 season ended after two games when Welborne suffered a career-ending ACL injury to his left knee.

After retiring from football, Welborne transitioned well to retirement, carving out a career in the financial service field with Wachovia Securities, Bank of America, and Target Financial Services. His passion for sports redirected his career to Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he served as athletic director from 2008 to 2015, before being hired by Lawrenceville in 2015. According to his LinkedIn page, his vast and powerful role encompasses ‘a wide spectrum of tasks to ensure student-athletes’ emotional health, physical fitness, and overall wellbeing.’
Lawrenceville Dean of Athletics Showered 38-Year-Old Employee With New Job & ATV
Welborne was exemplary in that role, but the lawsuit accuses the former NFL player of developing a new role – ‘director of athletics’ – and appointing his love interest Stock rather than Rienzo and Despinis. The director of athletics is a distinguished position in the school that serves as second-in-command to Welborne.
‘It became increasingly clear to Plaintiffs that Defendant Welborne and Ms Stock were likely engaging in a quid pro quo sexual relationship,’ the documents stated. Adding that the plaintiffs reportedly complained about the ‘inappropriate relationship’ but they were then ‘excommunicated’ and later fired.
Social Media Reacts To Reports Of Sugar Daddy Scandal
Welbourne was predictably dragged through the coals by commenters on X. Parents and other observers blamed the school as well.
“Why would an ex-nfl player end up as the head of a private school? They aren’t known for being smart or well educated. Obviously had few responsibilities and too much time on his hands,” said one netizen.
“take a look at him and figure it out. The school didn’t want to look “too” elite, quipped another.
“He headed the athletic department and was not the head of school,” said one parent, defending the school.
“In football jargon this can be best described as the school fumbled. Sounds like these two have a good case that will be bolstered by discovery. The questions are… Why didn’t the school respond appropriately? Why didn’t risk management foresee a problem here? This is the operation of an elite school? Not very smart after all. Let’s fast forward… the vigorous defending will result in settling,” asked one parent befuddled by the enormous stupidity of the entire lawsuit.
Most just felt it was grossly unprofessional for Melbourne to use his power in an exploitive manner.
“promote from within,” one person commented as a solution to avoiding such scandals. “i don’t like to see long time employees passed over for outsiders.”
“I agree, but institutions in ultra corrupt, deep blue NJ do not agree,” said one Trumpster.

Karla Despinis and Richard Rienzo Say They Were Forced Out Of Job After Suspecting Foul Play
According to reports, Rienzo and Despinis – who had been with the school for two decades – were not happy with the less-tenured employee being elevated above them for the new position. Before either could cause too much trouble they reportedly were told in March that their contracts would not be renewed.
‘Plaintiffs were forced out of their roles when… [their] married supervisor, began an inappropriate quid-pro-quo sexual, gender-based, and/or romantic relationship with another employee, Nicole Stock, wherein Defendant Welborne rewarded Ms. Stock with gifts, favorable treatment, and promotions,’ the suit says.
Rienzo and Despinis reportedly suspected Stock and Welborne were having an affair dating back to 2021, accusing them of flirting and touching. Court documents say Stock, who joined Lawrenceville in 2018, once fondled Welborne’s buttocks at a school hockey game.
‘First Time I’ve Watched A Cleveland Browns Game’: Shedeur Sanders Has Made Forgotten Cleveland Browns Franchise Relevant To A New Generation
As Shedeur Sanders continues his rise in Cleveland and brings wins to a losing Browns franchise, the microphones that he’s accustomed to speaking into will be in front of his face more and more. TThis also gives Shedeur a chance to offer more insight into who he is and what his father Deion Sanders actually instilled in the child of a football legend.
#Browns Shedeur Sanders on perspective: "When we were growing up, my dad had us in a 30,000-square-foot home. Then he took us to play ball in the inner city, and later transferred us across town to put that dog in us, that mentality, that ‘it’ factor." pic.twitter.com/otQY55e9U8
“I was always great at understanding perspectives and stuff. Because you got to really take a deep dive into how we grew up,” Shedeur told reporters in a recent press conference. “When I grew up, my dad (Deion Sanders) had us in a 30,000 square foot home and after that he took us to go play ball in the inner city. After that we transferred and he moved us across down because he wanted us to get that dog in us. To have that mentality to have that “it” factor in us. So, then we went to charter schools, and I don’t know if your’e familiar with charter schools, but they aren’t the best. But you have a lot of people from different situations that you have to be able to adapt to.”
Sanders says his father provided them with a rich lifestyle, but he also balanced it out by making sure they understood how life was for everyone. Keeping faith first is also big to Deion who has encountered some challenging medical issues recently. Shedeur says this entire circus from Draft Day until now has tested his faith.
“So that’s where all those core things of being able to relate and understand… but now being that I went through everything the past six months. It led me to a whole different understanding. It led me in my own experience with God. With having faith. Nobody else can help you in your situation but God. That’s why I’m truly thankful and happy. This is the first time I was never half stretched. I did the work. I did everything in my power that I could do. So the rest was left up to him.”
Social Media Is Locked In On Shedeur Sanders’ Every Word
Fans continue to have a wide array of comments and reactions to Sanders’ pressers. His presence has brought many new eyeballs to Browns games.
“Meanwhile Michael Irvin’s son claiming to be from the trenches,” said one fan who is proud of Shedeur’s grounded personality.
“Never watched a Browns game EVER til this day congrats 12 #RamsHousetho,” said one LA Rams fan who claims to never have watched the Browns until Shedeur’s first start.
“Niner fan…First time I’ve ever tuned in to watch a Browns game…just watch this kid prove everyone wrong. Best of luck to him,” another fan interjected.
“He brags different and that’s exactly why the industry or any coach could NEVER humble him. His father made sure of it,” said another fan, celebrating Deion’s job raising his sons.
There Are Still Shedeur Sanders Haters Running Rampant: See Rex Ryan
“Rex Ryan is gonna find a way to hate on this,” one fan commented on X.
Back in October, the former Jets head coach went on “Get Up” and randomly aired out Shedeur:
“This kid talks and he runs his mouth. Like he said, ‘I can be a starting quarterback’ with his arms crossed like this. Get your ass in the front row and study and do all that. If I know, the whole league knows. Quit being an embarrassment that way. You’ve got the talent to be the quarterback, you should be. You should be embarrassed that you’re not the quarterback now.”
These criticisms still continue to come from the peanut gallery after Shedeur does something positive, so it was expected that haters would criticize his game or the level of competition. He showed real flashes of potential and managed the game in the midst of great pressure and the eyes of the football world being on him.
Shedeur Sanders Is Turning The Cleveland Browns Into Must-Watch Football: “He’s Who They’ve Been Looking For”
People have all kinds of opinions concerning the NFL’s most polarizing player, who has only played six quarters of pro ball. Going back to his jersey being among the highest sold in the NFL during preseason and the way the local kids flock to him in public, it’s undeniable that Sanders makes people feel something.
It’s undeniable that the Cleveland Browns, though one of the NFL’s oldest franchise’s, is also one of its most unremarkable and least followed, especially by the younger generation. From the mundane uniform colors to the lack of flair to the three playoff seasons in the last 22 years, led by a litany of super mid to awful quarterbacks with limited offensive ingenuity.
The Cleveland Browns Lose National Relevance As Soon As Shedeur Walks Out The Door
The Cleveland Browns are a huge story with the fifth-round pick, who many still say isn’t a “good quarterback,” and doesn’t have the humility and leadership qualities or work ethic to excel at this level. How many 3-8 teams lead the storylines for the NFL? The ones that have Shedeur Sanders starting. Everyone is invested in his failure and success. People who barely watch football have an opinion on The Sanders Family. A take on who Shedeur is, what he is and who he will be in the NFL and in life.
“He’s who they’ve been looking for.”
Skip Bayless gives Shedeur Sanders an A– for his performance in the Browns’ win over the Raiders, and says Shedeur pulled off a pass Dillon Gabriel couldn’t pull off in his dreams.
The Browns organization has to be loving the attention. Head coach Kevin Stefanski can act like this situation is stressing him out but it’s actually helping him keep his job. He’s failed miserably as far as putting an exciting product on the field with a solid direction at the game’s most important position. Instead of being blasted for his losing squad, Stefanski is supported by an anti-Shedeur contingent who enjoys watching the coach cut off his nose to spite his face as he joined in a collusive effort to assassinate Shedeur’s NFL dreams.
With Shedeur getting the nod for a second start, everyone must at least deal with the reality of the situation. Shedeur is the best thing to happen to Cleveland Browns football in recent memory. Like he was at modest HBCU, Jackson State, and with the unheralded Colorado Buffs football program.
How Will Cleveland Browns Handle New Culture With Shedeur Sanders
The culture of this team will have to shift with him at the helm, whether they like mediocrity or not. With the visibility he brings, a light will also shine on the owner, general manager, head coach, staff and talent surrounding him. No longer will Cleveland be able to sneak by with an unwavering fan base, minimal success and little media attention.

The show has come to Cleveland. And everybody better be ready to step their game up. Sanders already has and it’s what he’s conditioned to do.
‘He Gon’ Be Better Than Bronny’: Kiyan Anthony’s Shooting Struggles Against Houston and Kansas Are The Reality Of Growing Pains
All eyes have been on Syracuse University freshman baller Kiyan Anthony just five games into this college basketball season. Such is the case with sons of sports legends. Kiyan, the seed of NBA Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony and ‘Power Series’ actress La La, is leading a young core for head coach Adrian “Red” Autry.
Kiyan Anthony Shooting Struggles Against Kansas
In his latest game against Kansas, Anthony went 2 of 12 from the field to finish with six points. It wasn’t the performance he wanted but he has plenty of time to improve.
Kiyan Anthony Comes Out Kicking In College With Syracuse
On Tuesday, Kiyan Anthony played a key role in the Orange taking No. 3 Houston to overtime, before losing a thriller, 78-74. His 10 points weren’t gaudy but contributed to establishing Anthony and his squad as a team to watch out for.
Not enough people are talking about Kiyan Anthony this season
In the first half against Houston:
12 minutes 9 points 3/7 FG 2 steals 1 assist
Averaging 14.8 on 54.8 FG% and 38.5 3FG% on 3.3 3PA through four games
Anthony, a product of Christ The King and Long Island Lutheran HS, signed with Cuse to much fanfare. His celebrity ties – and his silky smooth game that is reminiscent of his dad – has put him at the center of attention for this college basketball season. The hype surrounding his early games against lower to middle tier D-1 opponents (Binghamton, Delaware State and Drexel) was deserved. He played nearly 30 minutes in all of those games scoring 15, 19 and 18 points.
Loss To No. 3 Houston Exposed Some Of Kiyan’s Weaknesses
In the last two games, Anthony’s minutes are down and so is his scoring, with just seven points in 21 minutes against Monmouth and then 10 points in 24 minutes against Houston. His shooting percentages (60 percent, 72.7 percent, 58.3 percent) in the first three games were sensational. He’s shooting just 29.8 percent in his last two games against tougher opponents. Despite those two games, fans are celebrating his arrival as the piece that catapults Syracuse hoops back to its old glory as a college powerhouse, when they were one of the dominant Big East programs.
Overall, the freshman is averaging 13.8 points per game, 2.6 rebounds and shooting 52 percent from the floor. He’s only shooting threes at less than 28 percent and his free throw shooting (42.6 percent) should actually almost be double that for the potential he’s shown as a pure shooter.
We already know Kiyan Anthony is able to get past any defender—it’s in his blood. But he has to accept the bump & embrace the contact, defenders will be able to knock him off balance he has to be ready for it.
Kiyan still has a world of improvement to make in certain areas this season and he won’t be expected to be the man as his dad was as a freshman. Anthony is second on the team in scoring to forward Donnie Freeman, who averages 17.8 points per game. Junior point guard Naithan George is the main ballhandler and leads the team with 5.8 assists per game.
Head Coach Adrian Autry Sees Swift Elevation In Kiyan’s Overall Game: ACC Conference Schedule Looms
Head coach Adrian “Red” Autry has to find the perfect chemistry to maximize his team’s potential. Autry, a capable ballhandler and scorer during his days in the old Carrier Dome, says Anthony’s hard work over the summer has allowed him to come right in and get buckets at the Power 5 level.
“He’s gotten better over the summer. Improved his body,” Autry said in an interview on Nov. 21. “Improved his shot making and he has a natural ability with that. He has unshakeable confidence, and I know you need to have that as a player in anything in life that you do.”
The ACC is always among the elite college hoops conferences, and we will find out everything we need to know about young Kiyan in the upcoming months once the conference schedule kicks off and they have to handle multiple games against North Carolina and go to Cameron Indoor Stadium to face Duke.
Prior to that, they will get a stiff test against Kansas on Nov. 25th and No. 17 Tennessee on Dec. 2. It will be a gauntlet and if at the end of the process Kiyan is better and Syracuse is competing for a spot in the NCAA Tournament, then the season can be considered a success.
Fans React To Kiyan Anthony’s First Five Games Of College Career
So don’t look into anything that’s happened too deeply. Anthony is a freshman nicely transitioning to the next level. The hype is well-deserved too because recent sons of NBA greats haven’t fared well when it comes to approaching their daddy’s level of dominance.
“He gone be better than bronny lol,” said one fan.
“He’s going to be a problem for years to come. Love his competitive attitude,” added another.
With all of the praise, of course comes some people who aren’t buying into the Kiyan Anthony hype just yet.
“he’s not as explosive as I thought it was,” posted one netizen.
“Lmao. Two layups and a goal tend. My boy on defense moving slower than peak Wayne off that purple soda,” said another criticizing Kiyan’s defensive skills.
“Dude had 10 in a loss. wtf is the internet coming to,” asked one fan who was unimpressed with Kiyan’s efforts against Houston.
A Kiyan supporter replied: “against the #3 team in the nation, when you make statements like this you gotta use the full context lol.”
Added another fan: “So when bronny has 2 points they all start twerking in their panties rubbing honey on each other online.”
Kiyan isn’t there yet, but he’s becoming one of the top players in college basketball in short order and the cameras will remain as long as Melo and La La are in the building together, sitting side-by-side, cheering him on.
Fans Are Excited About Kiyan Anthony’s Journey, But It’s His Own Not His Parents’
The reports have been glowing. Basketball fans, casual fans and non-sports fans are invested in the offspring of one of America’s memorable celebrity couples, along with the drama that led to their divorce and the impressive manner in which they are co-parenting Kiyan to his dreams.
“Glad to see Lala & Melo putting their differences on the side for the sake of their son,” one fan on X said.
It’s a social media gold mine and a branding fantasy that families dream of. What we can’t do is forget that Kiyan is a human being going through the steps of life. Similar to Shedeur Sanders and Bronny James, he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth, so setbacks and adversity haven’t been a continuous theme. The difference is, he seems to be more likeable than Bronny and a bit “humbler” than Shedeur. The fact that he has come out of the gate showing he can get legit buckets has helped his public profile as well. There will be rough spots, but his pedigree and long-range abilities are undeniable.
"[Monmouth] made it tough for him… He'll be fine" Autry on Kiyan Anthony. Anthony had 7 points going 2-9 from the field. pic.twitter.com/bH9ZDY7slQ
— Syracuse On SI | The Juice Online (@TheJuiceOnline) November 19, 2025
As Cuse settles into the season, Kiyan will continue to be praised if he keeps getting buckets and his team can pull some upsets along the way. The game against Houston was just a glimpse into what this Cuse team can be once Kiyan finds his groove. Just give him time to refine his entire game and develop. Cheer with your eyes, not with your heart. Let his journey be his own. His mother and father have lived their dreams. Now Kiyan is forging his own imperfect path.
‘Don’t Like Seeing That Man Happy, Black and Rich’: Tired Fans Criticize Shedeur Sanders’ ‘Arrogant’ Postgame Interview After Superb NFL Debut Win
Shedeur Sanders’ long-awaited NFL debut went as well as he could have hoped for. He assumed the reins of a 2-8 team with just one week of practice and put up 24 points in a win against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Shedeur Sanders Shows Same Confident As Always After Huge Win In NFL Debut
Finally getting his chance to prove haters wrong AND lead his team to victory naturally had Shedeur overjoyed and his post-game interview. He overcame a lot more than just a swarming Vegas Raiders defense. And despite his glorious day there are still oddballs out there who choose to criticize him and try to continue a narrative that is old and outdated at this point.
In his postgame interview Shedeur said:
“The win is crazy, it’s amazing, you know. After one week of practice. Just one week of practice. So imagine what a full offseason will look like. It gets dangerous. But it’s just one week of practice so I’m truly thankful, you know, that everything happened.”
Hating Fans Criticize Shedeur Sander For Not Being ‘Humble’ In Celebrating Win
Of course, some social media mouth named Jon Root, who credits himself with living by “Christ, Sports and Culture,” had some negative things to express in Shedeur’s moment of triumph.
This is one reason why many people aren’t very interested in rooting for Shedeur.
This isn’t confidence. It’s arrogance.
He talks like his dad, without having the resume & skillset to back it up.
“His dad talked this way before stepping onto the field,” one fan reminded everyone on X.
“It’s arrogance to yall because yall don’t understand his confidence,” another fan commented. “Yall feel like he shudnt be confident. He’s not tryna belittle anybody , he’s just a kid that believes in himself. And if that offends you, you’re not the person you think u are. You must be crazy for wanting him to be how yal want. I know a racist when I see one.”
“Omg you can’t tell him what tf to say! my goodness, yall are so fucking soft, but then of course you are… you’re a white man,” said another fan.
“Bro, these n*ggas don’t like Sanders because he’s a proud black man. It’s not even worth explaining. They don’t like seeing that man happy, black and rich,” a third fan blurted out.
“What nfl quarterback isn’t confident? there’s a clear difference between jameis winston and this young qb when it comes to handling the press. you can’t blame him, he’s is his father’s son, after all, and he has a big shadow to step out from in order to become his own man,” said one netizen, blaming Deion for Shedeur lacking the religious simpleton act that Winston sells teams so he can remain in the league.
Shedeur Sanders Showed Plenty To Be Impressed With In NFL Debut Win Over Raiders
Sanders was 11-of-20 for 209 yards, a TD and a pick. He also was able to throw for some huge gains and get his team into scoring position quickly, which past Cleveland Browns quarterbacks lacked.
One fan posted No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward’s season stats to show how Shedeur makes throws that no other rookie and very few starters could make.
Shedeur Sanders isn't NFL Ready, but in his 1st game starting, connected on 52 and 66 yd passes, putting the ball in the air for 55 yards on the run, with laser like accuracy, while getting hit in the mouth. Less than 5 QBs can make that throw!
“Shedeur Sanders isn’t NFL Ready, but in his 1st game starting, connected on 52 and 66 yd passes, putting the ball in the air for 55 yards on the run, with laser like accuracy, while getting hit in the mouth. Less than 5 QBs can make that throw!,” the fan posted in the caption.
Who knows how good Shedeur Sanders will be? Six quarters of pro ball won’t tell the story. No matter what he does there will be a certain faction of folk who don’t like him for whatever reason. They’ll say it’s because he exhibits the same confidence that guys such as Aaron Rodgers and Baker Mayfield and Johnny Manziel have been lauded for in the past.
Most likely he will still have to leave the Browns to achieve his full potential because outside of Myles Garrett and a few defenders on defense, that team is a mess. Opinions about Shedeur will continue to be as volatile and multi-layered as the ones surrounding Angel Reese. Rarely related to the actual sport and how they play it.
‘Fooled Us All’: Dave Portnoy Fires Pat Beverley From Barstool Sports, But Who Needs Who Here?
It seems as if Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy is leaning into his status as the most powerful man in sports-related podcasting. The big boss has removed former NBA player Patrick Beverley from his weekly podcast he co-hosts with fellow ex-NBA star Jason ‘White Chocolate’ Williams and Adam Ferrone, who was Beverley’s partner in his previous podcasts
Dave Portnoy and Barstool Part Ways With Patrick Beverley In Light Of Police Report Following Arrest
According to Portnoy, the company has decided to part ways with Pat until he settles his family, personal and legal issues. Beverley was arrested last week for assaulting his younger sister, who he reportedly found in the house with an 18-year-old boy. And although he is out on bail, Portnoy has made the decision to take Bev off his media appearances after first supporting him.
@stoolpresidente gives an update on Patrick Beverley/Barstool Sports:
“Pat Bev is still employed”
“We stick with our guys until there’s a reason not too”
“No matter how bad it is, that’s his life. And he’s gotta figure this out. It’s horrible. He is taking forced time away from Barstool. And we’ll see if it turns out somehow not true, like we’ll let the facts play out, certainly with what is hanging there, we can’t have him be part of what we’re doing right now. And we gotta see how it settles, but this is horrible, how it reads, and if there’s any truth to it, he won’t be back at Barstool,” said Portnoy.
Portnoy Shaken By Ugly Details In “Probable Cause Affidavit”
Portnoy reportedly has an issue with the probable cause affidavit filed by Beverley’s younger sister following the former NBA defensive wizard’s arrest on November 14. The document states that Pat Bev is accused of choking his sister off the ground for 30 seconds, tossing her onto a couch and punching her in the eye while also making threats on her life.
Before the gruesome details of the report emerged, Beverley tried to get ahead of the situation by justifying his arrest with claims that he was acting as a concerned older brother who found his underage sister alone in her room with an 18-year-old male.
While Portnoy understands, he says the affidavit is damning.
“There’s no reason on my end to move unusually quickly here. It’s like a very serious issue. Before the police report came out, we still were doing the pod, and we had his version of the events. Police report comes out, brutal. Call him, ‘Hey, just saw this police report. We can’t be working with you right now. Figure out your life, and we’ll regroup when there’s a resolution on whatever the f–k this is,'” he said.
Pat Beverley’s Lawyer Says Sister Is Not Telling Entire Truth
Beverley’s lawyer says that the police report is misleading and that his sister made her statement under duress and therefore, the truth was somehow lost in the translation. There might even be some vindictive motives in his sister’s report to the police, especially following such an emotionally-heated domestic situation.
The layer reportedly told TMZ, “Patrick is not a violent man and was not violent that night… I have every expectation that when all the facts are in, Patrick will be cleared of these charges.”
Beverley is scheduled to appear in court for his first hearing on December 15th and is facing up to 10 years in jail.
Fans Went From Defending Pat Beverley To Condemning Him
“Pat Bev tried to make it look like he was the hero, that man was the villain,” said one fan on social media who previously defended Beverley when the former NBA player gave his version prior to the police report coming out.

“Fooled us all thinking he beat up the dude that’s seeing his sis, but turns out he beat up his underage sis. Cancel that man forever,” another fan said.
“His sister is 15 & the boy is 17, mind you. Those are two minors w/ regular teenage hormones & he threatened to k**l her,” posted one outraged woman.
Some fans questioned why the mother called Beverley in the first place if she knew he would handle the situation in such a violent manner.
“Why the mother called him knowing how her son is smh now they are about to start digging into his business for real. If you can do your sister like that, I can only imagine a stranger. He can pack that lil podcast right the hell up he’s cooked,” one netizen on X quipped.
“Hoopin and Hollerin” Podcast Was Doing Numbers First MonthWith Almost 300K Subscribers
Beverley has been a part of the Barstool Sports family since he started “The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone” in 2022. His “Hoopin and Hollerin podcast ” started in October with former Sacramento Kings guard, White Chocolate as the third co-host. The new show has been a hit with fans as it has amassed 290K subscribers in less than a month.
It airs every Tuesday, but it did not have an episode this week. Beverley has some major issues he’s facing right now, but moving on from Barstool isn’t one of them.
Dave Portnoy Fired Patrick Beverely: So What? Bev Doesn’t Need Barstool Permission To Have A Podcast
Yes, everyone has a new opinion now about Pat Bev. The only question I would have is why he needs Dave Portnoy to have a podcast. And for people to believe that Beverley can’t re-start the podcast he had before Portnoy gave him a bag, let’s be serious. It doesn’t take much for an NBA player worth approximately $82M to set up a studio and get a few techs behind the camera and in the editing room. Like every teenager on earth can do that now.
Building a fanbase isn’t as easy as starting a show with your own built-in Barstool fanbase, but if anyone can do it, especially a former NBA athlete. NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe is still going strong independently with his “Nightcap” and “Club Shay Shay” podcasts after his career-threatening lawsuit by a 20-year-old OnlyFans model.
His fanbase is still solid. Portnoy can fire Beverley from his platform, but that can’t stop the former NBA player from doing his own thing. Portnoy is separating himself from this drama, now that it is clear that Beverley attacked his sister and not the boy who she was allegedly with at the house. But being the businessman he is, Portnoy also left the door open to a reconciliation. Either way, Dave Portnoy can throw all the money around he wants and wave all the Caitlin Clark jersey’s he chooses, but he doesn’t stop anybody’s hustle when it comes to expressing sports and the culture of the game. He pays these guys so his platform can have respectability. Beverley needs to move on to another platform regardless of the outcome.
