‘This Coward Shot My Son’: MMA Dad Inflicts Fatal Vigilante Justice At 5-Year-Old’s Birthday Party Against Man He Allegedly Believed Was Involved In Murder Of His 23-Year-Old Community Leader Son

When your child is murdered in cold blood, it can change you as a parent. No matter how moral or dedicated to being a positive member of society you are, questioning everything you believed in that’s good is inevitable.

In certain instances, the loss of a child can send someone over the edge. When your son is killed in the same streets that he worked to protect and make better, as a parent all gloves come off.

A former MMA fighter and longtime anti-gun violence advocate allegedly shot and killed a man at his son’s 5-year-old birthday party in a probable retaliation for his son’s murder just a year ago.

Lumumba Sayers Sr., 46, is accused of casually walking up and shooting 28-year-old Malcolm Watson three times in the head at assassination range in Commerce, Colorado, on Aug. 10, an arrest affidavit obtained by 9News said. Watson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Why Did Lumumba Sayers Sr. Shoot and Kill Malcolm Watson?

Sayers Sr. is now charged with first-degree murder and felony menacing for a shooting that is believed to be a possible retaliation for last year’s shooting of Lumumba Sayers Jr. at 28th and Welton streets in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, according to reports.

Sayers Jr., 23, a father of a 2-month-old son, was among the two people fatally shot at around 3:50 a.m. on Aug. 19, 2023.

According to the affidavit, “Witnesses had stated the (shooter’s son) had been murdered about a year ago by a friend of the deceased (…) and this murder was probably in retaliation or revenge.”

Watson’s sister is unwavering in declaring her brother’s innocence and spoke to his character and desire to be a great father and protector of his sisters

“How is it a revenge killing if my brother isn’t the one who had anything to do with it?” Watson’s sister told KUSA.

What Did Malcolm Watson Have To Do With Murder of Lumumba Sayers Jr.?

The streets talk when heroes fall, and Watson was believed to have been connected to Tyrell Braxton, the man arrested and charged in Sayers Jr.’s murder, but there is no substantiated connection between the two, according to the outlet.

Braxton, 24, was arrested and charged with murder a month after the tragic 2023 shooting, but the case was later dismissed.

That dismissal and the fact that Sayers Sr. got no closure in the tragedy is what probably sent him into a spiral of depression, desperation and helplessness.

According to ABC 7 Denver, Colorado law seals case records when they are dismissed, but Braxton is still facing a federal charge of illegal possession of ammunition.

Sayers Family Were Positive Members Of The Community: “This Coward Shot My Son”

According to reports, Sayers Sr. founded the Heavy Hands Heavy Hearts boxing gym in Aurora, where his son led programs out of his father’s gym to get kids off the streets and into a positive lifestyle.

Sayers Sr. fought 10 MMA matches between 2009 and 2014, according to ESPN. During his career, he appeared on UFC’s Strikeforce and notched notable wins over opponents such as Justin Guthry and Canaan Grigsby. His record is 6–4.

According to court documents reviewed by the outlet, witnesses saw Sayers Sr. “walk up and shoot the victim in the head at close range.”

Sayers Jr. also founded the “Gloves Up Guns Down: Get Your Heads Up in the Hood movement,” a foundation with a mission to deter young people from violence through structured training and a sense of unity.

“He was stopping a lot of the violence here in the community,” Sayers Sr. previously told KMGH-TV. “Putting on boxing matches and stuff and showing these kids that there’s a different way.”

“This coward shot my son. The community that we protect, you know, we try to provide for, the community that he tried to help guide in a different direction that he grew up in, they killed my son,” he added.

Reports say fellow leaders in the community described Sayers as “in a dark place” after Sayers Jr.’s death.

“When a person goes through something like this, they need ongoing support the grief process, the mourning does not go away,” said Topazz McBride, the owner of the Aurora resource center Rediscovery Through Wellness told the outlet. “People have their own lives, and so people begin to move back to their own sense of normalcy, which didn’t necessarily happen with Lumumba.”

This is a tragic story, and the details are still emerging concerning the connection between the parties involved. Sayers Sr. is due to appear in court on August 15. He’s being held on a $1 million bond.

“I Will F—ing End It All. I Don’t Care” | Cleveland Browns Rookie Michael Hall Jr. Arrested After Striking Fiancée With A Baby Bottle, Putting Gun To Her Temple During Domestic Dispute

The Cleveland Browns are hoping to build on last year’s playoff run, which was rather surprising when you consider the bevy of injuries suffered by key players during the season.

Most notably, quarterback Deshaun Watson who was lost for the season in a mid-November win over the rival Baltimore Ravens.

That injury, while tough to swallow, didn’t stymie the Browns’ run to the postseason.

In search of adding some quality talent on the defensive line in the draft, team brass settled on former Ohio State Buckeye defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., a back-to-back third-team All Big Ten selection in 2022 and 2023.

Mike Hall Arrested For Domestic Issues

Hall’s arrival was suppose to help the Browns usher in some younger, talented players on the defensive line. That seems to be in serious jeopardy after Hall was arrested following a domestic dispute with his fiancée.

Hall Allegedly Threatened Fiancée With Gun

The NFL has tried its hardest to appear like a league who is tough on domestic violence. That’s the quickest way for a player to be exiled from the league.

Per reports, Hall allegedly threatened his fiancée with a gun after hitting her daughter from a previous relationship.

The couple shares an 11-month old daughter together, but things allegedly got heated when discussing the daughter that isn’t.

From there things got very heated and intense, and per the alleged victim’s mom, Hall threw a bottle at her head, choked her, slammed her head into a wall and smashed in a bedroom door to get her out. Making matters even worse was when he allegedly pulled the handgun he told her:

“I will f—ing end it all. I don’t care.”

Not a good look for Hall, who is now in the spotlight for the one of the main things the NFL stresses at its rookie symposiums after every NFL draft. Wanna kill your career? Engage in some domestic violence and that’s a quick and easy way to lose it all.

As they do with all domestic violence accusations, the NFL will let the authorities sort it out. In fact, the Browns released a statement in the aftermath of it.

“We are aware of the incident involving Mike Hall Jr. last night. Mike and his representatives have been in touch with the appropriate authorities. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this time.”

“We have been in contact with the club regarding the matter, which will be reviewed under the personal conduct policy,” NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said in a statement.

Sounds like Hall will be shelved until this investigation is sorted out, meaning the rookie won’t see the field anytime soon.

Even worse for him is if found guilty he may not play a down in the league he’s worked so hard to make himself a second-round pick.

If these allegations and accusations are indeed true, you can expect Hall to be prosecuted.

Hall Had Character Issues Prior To Draft

The NFL combine and ensuing team visits are interviews where players are vetted, and many teams questioned Hall’s character. Some went as far to drop him down or off their boards over hearing about his troubles at Ohio State in the locker room and with coaches. Obviously, that wasn’t enough to deter the Browns. who still took Hall in the second round. Now they’re definitely having regrets.

“Lied To, Bullied, Manipulated And Discriminated”: Despite Olympic Success, Dearica Hamby’s Lawsuit Against WNBA and Las Vegas Aces Exposes Lonely, Painful Pregnancy

The Las Vegas Aces are riding high on back-to-back championships, and star players A’ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum are fresh off another Olympic gold, Team USA’s eighth straight.

However, behind the scenes the team has had its share of turmoil and alleged attempts at rules-skirting that raises a few eyebrows.

The WNBA has always handled most of its cultural drama internally and now that the league has an elevated platform, the PR team has ramped up its game to present the league as all-encompassing.

LA Sparks All-Star Sues League For Pregnancy Discrimination

Los Angeles Sparks forward Dearica Hamby filed a federal lawsuit against the WNBA and her former team, the Las Vegas Aces, on Monday regarding her treatment from the Aces after revealing her pregnancy to the team.

Hamby, a WNBA All-Star and bronze medalist in Paris with the women’s Olympic 3×3 squad, alleges that she was subject to repeated acts of intimidation, discrimination and retaliation from the Aces, leading to her January 2023 trade to the Sparks.

‘Lied To, Bullied, Manipulated And Discriminated’ | Dearica Hamby Isn’t First WNBA Star Whose Pregnancy Conflicted With Corporate

Hamby was a vital part of the Aces’ 2022 WNBA championship team and had been with the organization since being drafted No. 6 in 2015, when the Aces were still called the San Antonio Stars. The franchise moved to Las Vegas in 2018.

Hamby re-signed with Las Vegas in June 2022 during the season.

In the lawsuit, she said along with the two-year contract extension, the Aces offered her a series of perks, including use of team-provided housing and an offer to cover the private school tuition costs for Hamby’s daughter, Amaya.

In the lawsuit, Hamby said she found out in mid-July 2022 that she was pregnant and told coach Becky Hammon and the Aces in early August, but they were extremely unhappy with her decision. After the 2022 season, according to Hamby, the use of team-provided housing was rescinded and her daughter’s school tuition bill was not paid.

Hamby was traded for what the team says was a basketball-related “business decision.”

She gave birth to her son, Legend, in April 2023 and played all 40 games last season with the Sparks, who fell short of the WNBA playoffs.

Now in her second season in Los Angeles, Hamby is averaging 19.2 points and 10.0 rebounds.

Hamby also accuses the WNBA of failing to “properly investigate” the issue and Hamby is seeking economic losses, compensatory and punitive damages and attorney’s fees, according to the lawsuit.

Did The WNBA Investigate Hamby’s Claims?

According to reports the WNBA took several months to investigate, including conducting interviews with 33 people and reviewing numerous texts, emails and other documents before handing down a punishment in May 2023.

Hamby took to her social media in January after she was traded to the Los Angeles Sparks. The sixth overall pick in the 2015 WNBA draft claimed the Aces bullied her after the team signed her to an extension before finding out she was pregnant.

Her Instagram post read in part, “I have had my character and work ethic attacked. I was promised things to entice me to sign my contract extension that were not followed through on. I was accused of signing my extension knowingly pregnant. This is false.

“I was told I was a ‘question mark’ and that it was set that I would ‘get pregnant again’ and there was a concern for my level of commitment to the team. I was told that ‘I didn’t hold up my end of the bargain’ (Because ‘no one expected me to get pregnant in the next two years’). Did the team expect me to promise not to get pregnant in exchange for the contract extension? I was asked if I planned my pregnancy.”

She continued the post by saying that the team questioned her commitment and told her that she “was not taking precautions to not get pregnant.”

Hamby signed a two-year extension in June before she was traded in January. The players union reportedly pushed for the investigation to be launched to see whether Hamby’s rights were violated under the league’s 2020 labor agreement as well as state and federal laws.

League Dropped The Hammer

The WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert issued a statement in response to Hammon’s suspension.

“It is critical that we uphold the values of integrity and fairness, which create a level playing field for our teams,” said Engelbert in the WNBA statement. “The Aces failed to adhere to league rules and regulations and have been disciplined accordingly. We are also disheartened by the violation of our Respect in the Workplace policies and remain committed to ensuring that enhanced training is conducted and standards are followed across all WNBA teams.”

The league gave Aces coach Hammon a two-game suspension for what it deemed “a violation of league and team ‘respect in the workplace’ policies.”

The league at that time also rescinded the Aces’ first-round draft pick in 2025 for a different violation, this one regarding impermissible player benefits involving Hamby.

Why Didn’t Hamby Like The League’s Decision?

Hamby felt the decision was a rush to just get her issue out of the way, claiming the punishment was inadequate for the offense, continuing to voice her displeasure with the WNBA’s process and discipline decisions.

According to reports, last September, Hamby filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). On May 23, she received her “Notice of Right to Sue” from the EEOC and had 90 days to file a lawsuit — which she did Monday.

A spokesperson for the WNBA told ESPN on Monday, “We are aware of today’s legal filing and are reviewing the complaint.” The Aces have not yet responded to ESPN’s request for a comment.

Her legal team claims that the league failed to speak with other Aces players as part of the investigation.

Also that the league didn’t dispense adequate punishment to the Aces or Hammon.

“[Hamby’s pregnancy] wasn’t a problem and it never was why we made the decision,” Hammon said then. “We made the decision to move Hamby because we could get three bodies in her one contract, and we wanted to get three more people in. I think it’s very evident [with] who we signed on why we made the move.”

Candace Parker was one of those bodies brought in to help win the 2023 championship.

“It came down to math in business. That’s all it was. Nothing personal,” Parker confirmed.

The most scathing accusation is that Hammon asked her if she planned the pregnancy and questioned her dedication to the team.

Las Vegas Aces Head Coach Becky Hammon Failed Women And Women’s Basketball | WNBA Suspends Her Months After Winning First Title

Hamby might have thought it more likely to see this type of behavior to come from a male coach who wouldn’t understand the stress a woman endures while she is pregnant and still trying to work. Not only was it a female head coach, but Hammon also is a former player. Women have spoken out for years about how getting pregnant affects their careers.

Inevitably, situations pop up that expose some possible shortcomings in the way the league tends to handle situations that are biologically common to heterosexual women, such as giving birth.

Skylar Diggins-Smith revealed in 2019 that she played the entire 2018 season pregnant without the Dallas Wings’ knowledge, well aware of attitudes toward pregnant players.

Sheryl Swoopes’ baby and her absence from the game at her peak was a big deal back when she was a married superstar in a fledgling league trying to build its name. Plenty of people questioned her decision. Swoopes would miss the first 19 games of the season due to pregnancy before making her WNBA debut on Aug. 7 vs. Phoenix. Then the league tried to market her as an Alpha mom.

When LA Sparks star Candace Parker took a break from the WNBA in 2009 to give birth to her daughter, Lailaa, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Sheldon Williams, she was coming off a ROY and MVP season and was becoming the face of a WNBA that was ascending to new heights.

People were very critical of that and reportedly the Sparks were not happy, and it affected the relationship between Parker and the franchise and Team USA for some years after that.  Former WNBA commissioner Donna Orender told The New York Times in 2009 that Parker’s pregnancy was a “quiet sigh of resignation.”

To her credit, she returned to play later that same season, setting a new standard for Black Girl magic.  Proving that active mothers could surely be great athletes.

Hamby’s lawsuit hasn’t affected her being selected for the Olympics or her contention for 2024 league MVP. It does highlights issues of possible pregnancy discrimination in the workplace. And how sports culture, whether executed by men or women, have different standards that are ever-evolving.

Hip-Hop Legends Go From Most Hated To Appreciated: Yeah Boy!! Flavor Flav Offers To Send Jordan Chiles Bronze Clock To Replace Her Stripped Medal

Jordan Chiles’ Olympic experience was on the verge of spinning out on an emotional roller coaster.

First, she lost the bronze during the individual floor competition in Paris that she later won before losing it again on a time technicality, forcing her to relinquish it days after going through the exhausting physical and emotional whirlwind of the event.

Obviously former Public Enemy frontman and reality TV pioneer Flavor Flav feels the same way. This Olympics has had some heavy influence and involvement by early ’90s rap legends who are still riding popularity.

Snoop Dogg covered the event for NBC as a celebrity commentator alongside Leslie Jones, Jimmy Fallon and other a-list celebrities and was a torch bearer at the Opening Ceremony on July 26.

Snoop Dogg and Flavor Flav made their careers rapping and often being the subject of criticism from all kinds of people. Flav has made a touching offer to Chiles after she was forced to give back her Olympic bronze medal. He’s offered to make Chiles a unique bronze-necklace clock to replace the medal. While many Olympians have won bronze, silver and gold medals over the last century, no athlete has a clock necklace designed by the best hype man to ever do it.

Flav, of course, is known for wearing a big clock around his neck dating back to the ’80s when Public Enemy was first establishing itself as a pro-Black rap group who aimed to enlighten, uplift and educate the community.

So, he is the originator of that style and his offer to Chiles has great significance for those who truly understand what Flavor Flav represents.

Why Did Jordan Chiles Get Stripped Of Bronze Medal?

The controversy surrounding Chiles erupted on Saturday when the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled she had been unjustly moved up from fifth place as the result of a United States injury.

The court claimed the American inquiry was lodged four seconds too late, therefore, Chiles scored should not have been raised and she should have not reached the podium.

In response, USA gymnastics filed an appeal of the decision, with an official timestamped statement showing the inquiry was made within the one-minute parameter.  The appeal was denied, and Chiles was stripped of the medal a whole five days after winning it.

Many gymnastics fans have blasted the decision to strip Chiles of the medal over a minor detail.

The gymnast herself took a break from social media due to the negative energy surrounding what should have been a very successful and joyous Olympics for the UCLA star who has announced she will be returning to school to help the Bruins compete for a national championship in 2025.

Flavor Flav Offers To Get Jordan Chiles Bronze Clock Necklace

Flavor Flav, whose connection to the Team USA women’s water polo team has thrust him back into the international spotlight, hit Chiles up on social media with a kind gesture of support.

‘Ayyy YOOOO @ChilesJordan ,,, imma make you a BRONZE CLOCK NECKLACE,,, and that’s something NO ONE else has,!!! Hit me up my girl,,, I gotchu,!!!’ Flavor Flav said on X

Chiles won a gold medal with the United States during the team competition in Paris and is also a silver medalist from the Tokyo Olympics in the same event.

Throughout his iconic rap career, Flavor Flav was known for wearing oversized clocks as necklaces. He’s also been apart of his share of gold and platinum albums so he knows the significance of medaling. The clock necklace has evolved into his trademark over the last four decades and a symbol of his iconic rise and irreplaceable place in the culture of hip-hop. Hes truly Father Time when it comes to the game.

Flavor Flav Funds Olympic Men’s and Women’s Water Polo Team

His Olympic involvement doesn’t stop with the offer to get Chiles some new drip to replace her Olympic bronze medal.

Flavor Flav also spent time with the United States women’s water polo team as part of the Paris Olympics.

He also helped facilitate their appearance at a Taylor Swift concert.

United States’ women’s water polo team was in Paris for a test tournament in July and Captain Maggie Steffens said they traveled to France as a way to “almost get the distractions out of the way then so we can be really focused and dialed-in now.”

Steffens told reporters in Paris  that team manager Ally Beck reached out to Swift’s team and was able to secure tickets to the show with the help of Official USA Water Polo Hype Man Flavor Flav, who also reached out to Swift on behalf of the team, helping to seal the deal.

“Flavor Flav found out, and he reached out to their team, and she – Taylor Swift’s team – gifted our team tickets to go watch her perform, which was pretty amazing,” Steffens said.

In addition to that love, in July, it was announced that Flav cut a deal to sponsor the men’s and women’s water polo teams for the next five years while using his celebrity to help elevate the sport.

He was seen hanging out with the team, getting in the water and also participating in some action during practice.

“They’re home working two and three jobs, busting their asses to make the United States look good,” Flav said in an interview with “Today.” “When they’re out there practicing and competing it takes them away from their jobs, you know I wanted to step up and help give these girls a boost. Give them a lift.”

Flavor came from the same place when he offered to gift Chiles a bronze clock as a replacement medal for the mental gymnastics she went through losing, winning and then losing again.

Flavor Flav, who has an estimated net worth of between $2 million to $3.5 million and has overcome personal challenges of his own and psychologically damaging experiences on his journey through stardom, understands as well as anybody that support systems are important for those aiming for high achievement in a craft.

He also has a great zest and energy for life at age 65 and one of the biggest hearts. At this point he’s everybody’s granddad. The U.S. water polo teams and Jordan Chiles discovered that over the last month.

80s and 90s Hip-Hop Legends Evolve From Most Hated To Most Appreciated

How fitting with the recent passing of legendary DJ Polo, who made his mark as a super duo along with legendary microphone king Kool G Rap in the 80s and 90s that we can acknowledge the highly publicized presence of Snoop Dogg and Flavor Flav at these Olympic Games as another example of how hip-hop culture has taken over the world. The pioneers of the street-born culture and artform — once attacked and feared by the institution — have now ascended to celebrities, embraced by people of every race, creed and nationality.

“Want To Come Out and Pretend Like He Sick”: Tyreek Hill Says Noah Lyles Faked COVID In Bronze Medal Finish In 200m, Calling It “Horse Radish.” Now Reek Says He Can Smoke Lyles

Tyreek Hill is probably the fastest man in the NFL. His breakaway speed is legendary and has allowed him to become a very rich man. While his skills and speed are elite, Hill’s trash-talking and confidence is legendary.

In the past, the former world class sprinter, who can still move, has challenged everybody from the great Usain Bolt, whom Hill called “washed up” in 2022 to most recently, Olympic 100 meters champion Noah Lyles, who is still the target of shots fired by NFL players and NBA players who won’t let his disparaging comments about the true meaning of “world champions” go.

Hill has also challenged NFL wide receiver DK Metcalf to a smoke show.

“He Got Beaten By Some Linebacker! He Ain’t Ready For This!” |Tyreek Hill Challenges Usain Bolt & DK Metcalf To A Race

It doesn’t take much for any non-sprinter to feel froggy when the outspoken sprinter’s comments criticizing winners of American sports leagues for calling themselves “world champions” is mentioned.

Tyreek Hill Says Noah Lyles Faked COVID and He Can Beat Olympic 100m champ In A Race

In an interview with Kay Adams, Hill was asked for his response to Lyles. Not sure if Hill has been following the Olympics, so he might have been referencing Lyles’ bronze in the 200, where it was discovered he was allegedly running with COVID.

Hill wasn’t buying it.

“Noah Lyles can’t say nothing after what just happened to him. … For him to do that and say we’re not world champions of our sport. Like, come on, bruh. Just speak on what you know about, and that’s the track,” Hill said.

Hill went as far as to say he can beat Noah Lyles in a race:

“I would beat Noah Lyles,” Hill said plainly two times over.

“I wouldn’t beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah Lyles,” he emphasized”. And guess what? When I beat him, I’mma put on a COVID mask and let him know I mean business. Because I do mean business.”

Reek stays clowning because Lyles officially has the title of “fastest man in the word.” And if you asked Lyles, he would tell you that his world title trumps Hill’s fastest man in the NFL.

Hill’s critique of Lyles comes a few days after he gave Lyles props for winning the 100.

Reek was pulling no punches, even accusing Lyles of faking being sick as an excuse for coming up short in the 200.

“Then he want to come out and pretend like he sick,” Hill said. “I feel like that’s, like, horse radish.”

The Cheetah

Back in 2023, Reek appeared at a USA Track and Field event in Louisville and randomly won in the 60-meter dash. It was the USATF Masters Indoor Championships and Hill defeated four competitors by running 6.70 seconds to surpass runner-up Dainen Brass by a little over half a second.

Hill represented his track roots and wore a speed suit from his alma mater, Coffee High School in Georgia, where he was a star at track and field.

The event was formerly only for runners aged 35 and over, but it now was in Hill’s bracket (25–29) for athletes that finished college but want to continue competing. Although the competition was stiff, USATF Masters events are designed for athletes 25 years and older and for all ability levels.

Hill’s result was 0.36 seconds behind Christian Coleman’s world record in the event. The race was a reminder of Hill’s love for the track lines, as Hill won state titles in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and long jump in high school. He was also an All-American in the indoor 200 at Oklahoma State.

When Hill was a junior wide receiver at Oklahoma State in 2014, he was dismissed from the team, ending his track opportunities after he was arrested on a domestic violence complaint.

Tyreek Hill has wheels, but if you measure up the stats, Lyles’ time in Paris has Hill’s best 100 time beat by nearly half a second. Lyles even bested Hill’s wind-aided time of 9.98. On a football field, Hill is almost unstoppable, but against the fastest runners in history, he would get dusted. Don’t expect Hill to back down from his claims. He has learned how to stay in the public eye – for good or bad – and sell his brand to the highest bidder. His bravado and hyperbole is all part of the act.

Lyles is much the same in the way of swag and trash talking. If the two did decide to hook up for a pay-per-view race, it would sell tickets because both have huge personalities.

“Condescending Man, The Perennial Victim”: Deion Sanders Shuts Down Reporters Because “What They Did Was Foul” With CBS Ranking Him Second-Worst Coach In Big 12

During a recent presser Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders told reporters that he wouldn’t be answering any questions from Eric Christensen of CBS Sports Colorado. Once the reporter announced himself Deion immediately shut Christensen down.

Sanders is still sour about being ranked 15th among 16 coaches by CBS and he wouldn’t let Christensen get in a word.

“I’m not doing nothing with CBS,” Sanders insisted while waving Christensen off. “Next question. … It’s got nothing to do with you. It’s above that. I love you, appreciate and respect you. Ain’t got nothing to do with you. They know what they did,” Sanders explained.

Sanders continued: “I’m looking you in the eyes as a man. I got respect for you and love for you, but what they did was foul.”

Sanders Comes Out Swinging, Keeler Counters

That didn’t sit well with Sean Keeler, a Denver Post columnist who covers the Buffaloes daily. When Keeler asked Sanders about the rankings, Sanders didn’t waste any time taking shots at Keeler as well.

“You don’t like us man,” Sanders began. “Why do you do this to yourself. No, I’m serious. Why do you do this? Like you know you don’t. Like why do you do this?”

“It would be hard for me to really engage in someone I don’t like or something I don’t like. I’m just asking why? Like why? What did I do?” he added.

Keeler made sure to get his point across in a scathing article he wrote, where he accused Colorado of being desperate and that’s the only reason Sanders got hired:

“A 4-8 coach gave a 3-9 press conference. This was Deposition Deion, a cornered and condescending man, the perennial victim who ain’t got time for mere mortals.

He can’t hide the fact that CU, which hired him with the sheer and utter desperation of a lonely nerd on prom night, and conducted a lousy vetting process, hoping that a lifetime celebrity wouldn’t come with a lifetime of skeletons in his closet, too.

Half of the Power 5 schools and most of the NFL wouldn’t put with the Prime Circus. The cameras. The contracts. The rules. The Buffs? They had no choice. Deion is the king of CU, El Caudillo del BoCo, the Emperor of Engineering Drive. Are you with me or against me?

Once the train leaves the station, it doesn’t come with brakes. You ride the puppy out full-speed. Until things go off the rails.”

No Love Lost Between Sanders And Keeler

Keeler isn’t a big Coach Prime fan. This has been brewing since Sanders arrived in December 2022 to a ton of hoopla and fanfare. Starting 3-0 last season and then floundering to 1-8 in their last nine games didn’t help matters.

Things seemingly came to a head with Sanders being upset about his low ranking in the conference. In all honesty, that’s probably where he belongs until he proves he can win more than four games in a season.

Knowing Sanders, he will be putting all his energies into proving everyone wrong. Who knows why he would even lash out at CBS about some rankings that don’t amount to a hill of beans once the action gets going in the season.

He’s had a very emotional week with his birthday, the birth of his first grandchild and the pressure of a must-win season with Heisman Trophies supposedly at stake. Maybe he’s a bit defensive and on edge.

Deion Sanders Embraced Villian Role, Can’t Be Mad Now

To be honest, Sanders set himself up as the villain when he left Jackson State after two seasons and told everyone he was also bringing Louis Vuitton luggage in the form of generational players to lift Colorado back to the top of the football food chain.

What Jackson State Players Are Following Coach Prime To Boulder? | Deion Sanders Said He’s Bringing Louis Vuitton Luggage To The Field

So, when you go 4-8 in your first season some people are going to call you out on it.

Sanders will have a solid chance to prove doubters wrong with upgraded roster led by son Shedeur and two-way sensation Travis Hunter, as well as Deion’s other son Shilo, the president of the “headache gang.”

Winning cures a lot, but don’t expect it to fix this frosty relationship out in the scenic Rockies between Deion and a growing legion of reporters. And, knowing Sanders, he couldn’t care less.

“Leave Me Out Of This Until My Time Comes”: Angel Reese Wants No Parts Of Team USA Bashing By People Continuing To Use Caitlin Clark Snub As Weapon to Diminish Gold Medal

It’s only natural for major outlets such as ESPN to keep riding the wave and start promoting the next group of Olympic stars.

Angel Reese, however, who most expect to join Caitlin Clark on the 2028 Olympic Team, isn’t getting dragged into projections and predictions in the midst of her OG sisters of the hardwood bringing home another gold medal.

In response to an ESPN Women’s Hoops X post dropping names such as JuJu Watkins, Paige Bueckers, Clark and Reese, as the future of Team USA hoops, “Chi Barbie” said, “Let’s just congratulate these women and let them enjoy this moment! Leave me out of this until my time comes”

The Olympics is over. Team USA women won the gold medal for the eighth straight time dating back to 1992 and were rarely challenged until the gold medal game where they defeated France 67-66 in a thriller.

The rabble-rousers and those obsessed with creating false narratives, however, are trying to blemish the Team USA win and continue to complain about Caitlin Clark‘s absence in the Olympics.

Earlier this summer, WNBA rookies Clark and Angel Reese were excluded from the 2024 women’s roster by USA Basketball, a decision that faced widespread backlash because many felt it was a missed opportunity to continue capitalizing on the elevated global profile of women’s basketball.

Beating The Brakes Off Team USA Head Coach Cheryl Reeve Is A Forever Mission For Olympic Roster Snub Caitlin Clark

With the win against the host country, the U.S. team won its 61st straight Olympic game and improved its overall Olympic record to 78-3.

Journalists Continue To Push Caitlin Clark Snub Narrative As Team USA Wins 8th Straight Gold

Call it Caitlin Clark withdrawal for white journalists seeking an exhaustive narrative maybe, because it seems that despite the historic win, CC’s Olympic snub was still a sore subject, especially for the casual fan or mid shock jock like Barstool’s Kayce Smith.

The whining has continued even though the Olympics is over and the countdown to Clark returning on Aug. 16 against Diana Taurasi’s Phoenix Mercury should be all the excitement her cult needs.

With little to no basketball knowledge or history of the WNBA, certain reporters use race-baiting, political buzz words and nonsensical fanboy takes to stay in the game and stir the pot.

That buzzword being “Caitlin Clark.” Once that happens, inevitably Black Twitter rallies around Angel Reese.

In this case, both Clark and Reese were used to overshadow Team USA’s victory, demean Diana Taurasi’s age and six Olympic gold medals and A’ja Wilson’s historic MVP campaign.

Barstool’s Kayce Smith Gets Roasted For Cailtin Clark Take

Smith did get thoroughly roasted under her post, but the engagement was plentiful with over 370 reposts and thousands of views and comments to date. So, mission accomplished?

While most of us have already reconciled the fact that Clark will be in the Olympics in 2028, there are some people who continue to fuel the fire with narratives that only cause division within the league and amongst WNBA fans

Angel Reese Doesn’t Want To Hear About 2028 Olympic Team

Reese has always been very respectful of the OGs in the league and has taken her initiation lumps with few complaints. She’s earned her props throughout the league through her daily grind, which has produced a record amount of double-doubles for the rookie.

Clark has been on the low since the Olympics jumped off. She’s decided to step back, gather herself and revive her body for the stretch run of the WNBA season, as her Indiana Fever team continues to be a tough draw for any squad.

By lying low, Clark has also done nothing to overshadow the accomplishments of her fellow WNBA players during their Olympic moment.

She understands that the more visible or vocal she was during the Olympics, certain narratives would be spun, and the discussion would be diverted to her cult followers in the industry. That was Clark’s way of showing support.

Reese has been everywhere supporting Team USA and other sports. She was in France, she was on stage at Lallapalooza with Megan Thee Stallion, she is a part of the new 3v3 league that WNBA players are launching, and she just dropped her Reebok line.

The Chicago Sky and social media sensation launched her highly anticipated “Reebok by Angel” collection, and the gear and kicks have serious brand potential.

Reese, 22, is Reebok’s first major NIL signing and the first to sign under the new president of basketball, Shaquille O’Neal, and vice president, Allen Iverson, as part of the brand’s long-term strategy to reclaim its standing as a dominant player in sports culture.

Reese and Clark are committed to respecting the OGs of the game, while beating them on the court and truly trying to help the total game grow.

Reese lets you know that neither will be used to promote an agenda that in any way downplays or degrades the accomplishments of legendary players that inspired them. No matter how bad Clark fanatics want rush her to the finish line, while taking Reese along for the ride.

Everything in due time.

“They Gave The MVP To The Wrong Player” | Former NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury Doesn’t Agree With LeBron James’ Olympic MVP, But That Could Be Shade

In the aftermath of Team USA winning its fifth consecutive Olympic basketball gold medal, the ageless LeBron James was named MVP.

The 39-year-old four-time NBA champion and NBA MVP averaged 14 points, seven rebounds and nine assists per game.

While Steph Curry went for a combined 60 points, including 17 of 25 from three in the semifinal win over Serbia and finals win over host nation France, James was the most consistent player the entire Olympics.

For that James was able to add Olympic MVP to an illustrious basketball résumé, but not everyone believes James deserved the award.

One person is former FS1 analyst Skip Bayless who just happens to be the biggest LeBron hater on the planet.

Another is former NBA All-Star guard Stephon Marbury, who made his feelings known in an Instagram post after having a front row seat to the game in Paris.

Stefon Marbury Isn’t On Board With LBJ Winning MVP. Is He Salty?

Marbury’s Instagram came after Bron ignored him as he attempted to congratulate and celebrate with him following the win.

Bron instead celebrated with good friend and brother Carmelo Anthony, as Marbury stood by and even patted LBJ on the shoulder. That lack of acknowledgement seemed to trigger Marbury to say this.

“They gave the MVP to the wrong player. Maybe they called out the wrong name by accident. I think we need to rewind the moment when @StephenCurry30 displayed himself as the greatest shooter who ever touched the ball. In international ball, if you can’t shoot, you can’t touch the ball at the end of the game. I get LeBron is the king to man, but let me say this: when you give him what he doesn’t deserve, you basically say that because you basically say that because of what he’s done, he should receive a high honor on the biggest stage. No, he didn’t earn it this time.”

Poor Marbury, he doesn’t seem to understand that MVP is a culmination of one’s play throughout an entire season, series or tournament. And in the Olympics James was the most consistent player and his team won the gold medal. That’s why he won the award, and did so deservingly.

Why Did James Ignore Him?

For years Marbury has come for James with subtle shots about him and how he plays. He’s constantly said James can’t shoot which he mentioned in his IG rant. He even said James wasn’t a real Laker, he just wanted to be a Laker. The Coney Island legend also claimed star Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson was a better overall player than James.

In many ways it’s coming off as pure hate from “Starbury” toward James, who showed him what he thinks of him as he celebrated winning the gold medal on Saturday in Paris. Marbury can say whatever he wants about James, and they’ll be many who agree, but the proof is in the résumé that James has put together, making it all just about false.

‘Don’t Switch Up Now B—ch’: Grant Hill’s Plan to Consider Jaylen Brown For Future Olympic Teams Backfires As Steve Kerr Is Ripped For Consistently Benching Teammate Jayson Tatum

USA Basketball managing director Grant Hill has caught a lot of flak for some of the players he didn’t choose to assemble and represent Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The two main names were Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving and Boston Celtics star and reigning NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, with the latter being the biggest snub.

Grant Hill says Jaylen Brown is welcome in future Olympics

To make matters even worse was when Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard bowed out due to injury, and Brown wasn’t chosen as the replacement. The team opted for his Celtics teammate Derrick White instead. At the time Hill told reporters that it was his job to build a team “that will give us the best opportunity for success.”

Following the choice, Brown when asked via X if he believed Nike played a role in the decision, his response was, “I do for sure.”

While attending the ESPYs Brown did his best to change the subject when former NFL MVP Cam Newton asked him about it.

“I really don’t really got no comment. You know what I mean? I got my beautiful date right here,” Brown said.

Grant Hill Open To Brown Being Part Of Team Going Forward

During an appearance on the “Open Run With Rachel Nichols” show, Hill sounded like he’s definitely open to the possibility of Brown being on the team for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles,

“It’s a lot of noise. I’m confident me and him will sit down at some point and talk about it and get to some level of understanding,” Hill said. “Look, he’ll be a candidate if he wants in 28.” Hill added that he’s learned that “you can’t take anything personal.”

Celtics fans and basketball fans as a whole, however, are taking it personally. Hill’s desire to consider Brown for the next Olympics didn’t sit well with some who saw it as a switch up.

“Don’t switch up now bitch ass mf stay on that side,” wrote one fan.

Even minus Brown, Team USA has three other Celtics players who just helped lead the team its NBA record 18th NBA title and Boston’s first since 2008. One of those players is Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum, who’s been named first team All-NBA three consecutive seasons but has found himself on the outside looking in on Team USA coach Steve Kerr’s rotation.

Others, including former NBA player turned podcaster Gilbert Arenas, feels the supposed disrespect to both Tatum and Brown will only fuel their need for revenge in the next NBA season.

Kerr’s Rotations Called Out

During Team USA’s entire run Kerr has had his rotations questioned. Things have gotten so bad that Tatum hasn’t played in either matchup versus Serbia.

During Thursday’s heated and highly contested semifinal win over the Serbs, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green questioned his coach, saying, “sometimes you gotta scrap them rotations.”

Green said that in reference to how Kerr was constantly taking out guys even though they had a good rhythm and replacing them with others so they could get minutes. But that didn’t help Tatum’s cause, as he and Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton were once again the only players with a DNP-CD (did not play-coach’s decision) by their name against Serbia for the second time this Olympics.

In a postgame interview with ESPN, Kerr didn’t specifically address why he chose to sit Tatum again, but he gave his reasoning for sticking with certain players.

“The guys, they determined the lineup, really,” Kerr said. “They were individually and collectively playing the best we had all night and so we just stayed with them.”

America: Grant! Steve Kerr clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing. As the head of USA Basketball, can you please make a change?!

This is was a different response from Kerr than the previous matchup versus Serbia when he pretty much called himself an “idiot” for not playing Tatum.

In all honesty, not playing Tatum isn’t a bad thing, especially when the team has Kevin Durant and LeBron James. Tatum’s time to shine will come in 2028 and 2032, where he’ll be one of the focal points of the roster.

Right now it’s KD and Bron’s Olympic swan song, and they’re doing their best to finish with the gold.

Team USA will compete for gold against France on Saturday who is pushing for history, lead by San Antonio’s power forward Victor Wembanyama. Team USA hopes to secure its fifth straight gold medal while France seeks its first in the sport.

Noah Lyles, Dubbed ‘Loud’ and ‘Arrogant’ By 200M Winner, Is Still Facing Backlash for ‘Selfish’ Decision to Run with COVID, Others Mock Sprinter for Seemingly Making Excuses After Shocking Defeat

In the world of track and field there isn’t a more charismatic and larger than life athlete than the American sprinter Noah Lyles.

The reigning 100 meter champion has had little issues becoming the self-proclaim face of the sport with his showmanship. However, his supreme confidence that many view as self-centered and over the top backfired following his 200 meter loss in Thursday’s final at the Paris Olympics.

Noah Lyles shocking defeat draws criticism
Noah Lyles is facing mounting criticism for decision to fun 200 meter finals despite positive COVID test. (Image Credit: Screenshot Europsort press conference feed)

Lyles was building up the narrative that he would become the first sprinter to pull off the double since Jamaica’s Usain Bolt. After winning the Bronze in Tokyo, Lyles had not lost a 200 meter race since placing second in his semifinal heat behind the eventual gold medal winner, Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo.

And after his photo-finish win in the 100 meters on Sunday, it all seemed possible.

But it wasn’t meant to be for Lyles in the 200 final in Paris this week as he settled for the bronze and made a bigger spectacle after the loss then when ecstatically appeared out of the tunnel with leaps and jumps that even triggered a warning for lack of sportsmanship.

It didn’t take fans long to come for him via social media.

Lyles Takes Beating For NBA Comments

Many fans on social media couldn’t wait to tease and taunt the world’s fastest man about comments he made in Budapest at the World Championships last year. When asked what he wanted to do for the sport of track and field, Lyles weirdly took a shot at the NBA.

“You know the one thing that hurts me the most is I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have world champion on their head,” Lyles said. “World champion of what? The United States? Don’t get me wrong. I love the U.S. — at times — but that ain’t the world.”

The comment at the time even prompted NBA legend and Team USA men’s basketball’s all-time leading scorer Kevin Durant to chime in on the post.

“Somebody help this brother.”

Fans Questioning Lyles COVID Announcement

Lyles, who suffered from asthma since childhood, left the track in a makeshift wheel chair. “I’ve had better days,” Lyles said after the race. “I do have Covid. I tested positive around 5:00 am on Tuesday morning.”

But fans everywhere are calling his COVID diagnosis a hoax that only came up because he lost.

Instead of praising Lyles for running with COVID and calling him “gutsy or courageous” fans all over X had other choice words for the sprinter. One fan even called Lyles reckless, amongst other things.

“I think the words you were searching for are selfish and arrogant.” one person wrote on X

Lyles’ actions on Thursday are eerily similar to former Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce leaving Game 2 of the 2008 NBA Finals, only to return in a wheelchair. Pierce’s return sparked a win and all was forgotten. Lyles didn’t win the gold and observers say he went straight to making up excuses.

Lyles’ Sportmanship Stays In Question

Lyles is supremely confident and at times an over-the-top personality. That’s both good and bad, and when he loses his peers love to see it.

Following his upset win, Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo was asked if he aspires to be the face of track. His response sounded like someone who’s tired of seeing Lyles’ antics, with the African phenom saying he’ll never have the opportunity to become the face of the sport because he’s not brash like Lyles.

“I can’t be the face of athletics because I’m not an arrogant or a loud person like Noah Lyles,” Tebogo said.

Letsile Tebogo was asked after winning the men's 200m final if he aspires to world records and being the face of track and field.

Here was his answer:

— FloTrack (@FloTrack) August 8, 2024

Following the loss, the 27-year-old sprinter announced that he’s done at these Olympics after being replaced on the Olympic team’s 4×100 meter relay because of COVID.

Later that evening, Lyles was seemingly back to himself with a post to his haters and fans alike on his Instagram page.

“I believe this will be the end of my 2024 Olympics. It is not the Olympic I dreamed of but it has left me with so much Joy in my heart,” Lyles said on Instagram. “I hope everyone enjoyed the show. Whether you were rooting for me or against me, you have to admit you watched, didn’t you?

“Shouldn’t There Be Penalties?” | Deion Sanders Laughs At Bombshell Report Accusing His Colorado Football Program of Mimicking Grand Theft Auto with Fights, Money and Guns

Since Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders arrived in Boulder in December 2022, the Colorado Buffaloes football program has become a lightning rod for storylines.

From day one Coach Prime pushed the envelope, telling players to immediately enter the portal, while also introducing son Shedeur as the program’s starting quarterback in his first interaction with the team.

Never one to shy away from the camera, Sanders shouted things like “we comin’ and “I ain’t hard to find.”

That approach, along with Sanders’ star power, has brought plenty of talent to the Rocky Mountains, but not everyone sings the praises of the two-time Super Bowl champion and 1994 NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

In fact, following their exits, some former players have taken shots at how Coach Prime runs his program. A former Buffaloes player who wishes to remain anonymous recently told Athlon Sports in a bombshell report that the program was like the popular video game Grand Theft Auto, which features a bevy of things like fights, guns “and money floating around.”

It also mentioned physical fights and altercations, as well as bullying amongst teammates.

That’s something that Coach Prime immediately dismissed by calling it all palter (lies).

Coach Prime Chuckles At Accusations

One thing for sure and two things for certain, Coach Prime isn’t gonna miss the opportunity to express himself for everyone to see. The former Eddie Robinson Award-winning coach did just that as he addressed the bevy of accusations being hurled about his program.

“When are we gonna address all these lies? That’s when they know you’re doing well: when they start lying,” Sanders said in a video released this week with a clip captured by “Zero 2 Sixty with Matt McChesney.”

“Shouldn’t there be penalties? Shouldn’t there be some kind of ramifications? Jordan Seaton and Savion had a fight that got bloody?” the coach said to laughs.

“Nevertheless, we got the highest GPA we’ve had in the history of the school the last two semesters. I wonder how they do that?”

That’s something to definitely be proud for Coach Prime, that’s the ultimate goal to have your student-athletes performing at not just a high level on the gridiron but also in the classroom.

Lawsuit Coming?

From the sounds, Sanders doesn’t seem to worried about the accusations being spewed about his program.

In actuality it wouldn’t be smart for the Buffaloes program to file a lawsuit if all their ducks aren’t in a row. One also has to wonder if the anonymous player who was willing to tell all of that is saying this from a place of resentment or telling the truth. For Athlon Sports to be willing to run the story makes you believe that at least some of the things he mentioned actually happened, didn’t they?

In all likelihood, we shouldn’t expect to see a lawsuit against the anonymous player or former five-star cornerback Cormani McClain, who shared similar sentiments upon his departure after one season in the Boulder.

Can’t Go 4-8 Again

The Coach Prime era got off to a great start last season with the Buffaloes going 3-0, including a surprising win at then-national runner-up TCU. Things quickly unraveled, and the team went 1-8 the rest of the way. Star quarterback Shedeur Sanders was sacked over 60 times, and the team as a whole just wasn’t physical, talented or coached well enough to win but one of their final nine games.

That forced Sanders to once again tap into the transfer portal, where he upgraded his offensive and defensive lines with size, experience and toughness. That was the glaring weakness for the Buffaloes in 2023, and if they can sure up those two areas the team has enough skill position talent to win eight to nine games and qualify for a bowl game.

“NFL’s Gonna Suspend Him Right?” | Viewers Want Seahawks WR DK Metcalf Punished After Helmet Swinging Attack Against Teammate During Heated Practice; Coach Responds

The dog days of NFL training camp are a real thing. As teams are firmly entrenched in week 3 of camp, tempers flare and emotions boil over, leading to multiple dust-ups, and in some instances some serious fisticuffs.

We’re seeing it all over the league, from Tuesday’s all-out brawl between the New York Giants and Detroit Lions, which was started by prized rookie wideout Malik Nabers, to many other practice scuffles, albeit same-team or joint-team battles.

DK Metcalf swings at teammate with helmet

That seemed to trickle down on Wednesday out in the Pacific Northwest as Seattle Seahawks star wideout DK Metcalf took the helmet off cornerback Tre Brown and attempted to smashed him in the head with the helmet but connected with safety K’Von Wallace’s helmet instead. There were no injuries reported for Wallace who finished out the rest of the practice.

The act was caught live on air, and for a moment it reminded of us of the time reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year and Cleveland Browns superstar Myles Garrett attacked then-Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph as the two exchanged pleasantries in 2019.

The respective benches were quickly cleared with an all out brawl in the end zone. Garrett would later claim that Rudolph used a slur that triggered his reaction. This one wasn’t nearly as long or as ugly, but it still crossed the proverbial line of using headgear to attack another player.

Mike Macdonald Addresses Matter

In wake of that situation and others that have occurred throughout camp thus far, Mike Macdonald, the first-year Seahawks head coach, spoke about it in a recent post-practice interview.

“We’ve been getting after it.. we’ve been out here 14 out of the last 16 days, think we’re tired of going against one another,” Macdonald said.

“We’re right on the line right now, and I think the guys realize that. Let’s take care of another. Definitely don’t want people fighting about out here and stuff, especially against their own teammates … and then DK gave a great message to end practice, just putting everything into perspective, and the guys finished it of the right way,” the coach explained while not revealing specific details.

Metcalf handled that the right way, especially with his being a team leader. It also speaks volumes about Macdonald as a rookie head coach and the way he’s already connected with his team.

However, the wide receiver didn’t receive much sympathy from viewers and fans who are calling for harsh punishment in response to his behavior.

One user tweeted, “So the NFL’s gonna suspend him right?” Others called for both suspension and a fine.

Seahawks Have Most Expensive WR Room In NFL

Heading into the 2024 season the Seahawks will spend $54.6 million of their team cap space on the wide receivers. Metcalf is entering year two of a three-year, $72 million deal with $58.8 million in guaranteed money. Many analysts and talking heads around the league believe the Seahawks should sign Metcalf to a bigger extension.

If 2023 was any indication, Metcalf is could be in line for a bigger extension after posting a career-best 16.9 yards per catch on 66 receptions. He also reached the 1000-yard plateau for the third time in his five-year career. He’ll also need the 2022 version of Geno Smith to  return after an up-and-down 2023 season that saw Smith regress.

‘LeBron Could Never’: Michael Jordan Stole The Show At the Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction and Chris Canty Says That Proves Who the GOAT Is

Chris Canty says the 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductions proved why Michael Jordan is the GOAT over LeBron James because players at the NFL Hall of Fame Induction ceremony made an effort to acknowledge Jordan, while LeBron was never mentioned.

The 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame Class was enshrined in Canton over the weekend. WR legend Andre Johnson, sack master Julius Peppers, linebacker Patrick Willis, return king Devin Hester, Randy Gradishar, Steve McMichael and world-beater Dwight Freeney were the honorees.

In a room full of stars, all Canty could do is rave about MJ on his ESPN radio show.

“Not sure anyone had it on the board that the Hall of Famer that would steal the show at this year’s ceremony never played football,” Canty opened.

According to Canty, Michael Jordan’s appearance stole the show.

In his acceptance remarks, defensive end Julius Peppers said:

“This isn’t in my speech, but I’m gonna say it anyways and while I’m talking about Chapel Hill and North Carolina and I know this is the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but I’m not going to sit up here and act like my idol and one of the reasons I went to Chapel Hill isn’t in the building. The GOAT is in the building. Michael Jordan, MJ I want to thank you for the inspiration and the memories. Love you, big bro.”

Canty added: “Even amongst the greatest football players of all-time, the reaction and the reverence that they showed for Michael Jordan is next level. LeBron could never. LeBron could never.”

Canty says legends from Rod Woodson to Emmitt Smith — all GOATS in their own regard with gold jackets — were reveling in Jordan’s presence, saying, “Hey Big Dog it’s been a long time. Literally fanboying out for Michael Jordan who was there to celebrate lil’ bro Julius Peppers getting into the Hall of Fame,” Canty gushed.

“I’m sorry, LeBron James could never, and that’s why MJ is the GOAT,” the praise continued. “We saw that at the NBA Top 75 Anniversary, when all of the players from the Top 75 were announced and then Michael Jordan was the last one and everything parted like the red sea to let Michael Jordan get to the middle of the podium, where they had him standings alone, with everyone else around him. But this was just an extension of that…We are at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton Ohio with Devin Hester, Dwight Freeney and all these guys going into the Hall of Fame and yet Michael Jordan was the center of attention.”

“He steals the show.”

Chris Canty Is Right About Reverence People Have For MJ

Canty has a point, MJ is held in the highest regard by other athletes, entertainers and fans. LeBron has that presence in some sectors, but he’s still playing and building his legacy.
Still chasing Jordan’s ghost despite his standing as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and the first player-billionaire.

We do, however, have to be cognizant of the fact that Jordan and LeBron played in two different eras. Jordan was in the ’80s, so of course any person that would be Hall of Fame eligible now would have played in the ’90s or early 2000s.

So naturally, MJ would be their GOAT. Peppers, for instance, also attended Jordan’s alma mater UNC, so he has a personal relationship with MJ which heightens the reverence and the connection.

Peppers was a standout defensive end at UNC from 1998-01, and he also was a walk-on for the national powerhouse basketball squad. As a reserve, he helped UNC’s 1999-2000 team get to the Final Four and the following year he dropped 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a loss to Penn State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

LeBron and Jordan Capture Different Generations

Peppers and MJ have a relationship that transcends fandom. Jordan has actually touched Peppers’ life in ways that we can only imagine. Air Jordan had the NBA on lock in the late 80s, 90s and a large part of the 2000s. Newbies such as Kobe Bryant and LeBron James entered the league and began to capture a new generation, but the Jordan brand, name, logo and overall impact on the world of fashion, sport and entertainment is still as strong as ever.

Especially with the athletes who came one generation after him. He was everybody’s hero regardless of the sport because he defined excellence for several generations and kept it going as an owner long after he left the court.

LeBron has captured another generation, a younger generation, but he shares that place with Kobe Bryant, who has personally touched and advised and inspired some of today’s greatest ballplayers, including Jayson Tatum and Sabrina Ionescu.

Chris Canty’s Anti-LeBron Rant Is Biased

While you can’t deny the reaction that MJ gets when he walks into a room with the GOATS of any industry from sports to business, Canty’s rant could have just a twinge of bias in it. Canty was born in the Bronx, New York, but moved to Charlotte, North Carolina at age 15.

He started playing football in his junior year and helped lead Charlotte Latin School to the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association State Championship in 1999 as a tight end and defensive end. He chose the ACC, attending Virginia, before being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2005 and retired in 2015 after winning a Super Bowl with the New York Giants in the 2011-12 season.

LeBron James Continues To Post Historic Numbers: NBA GOAT Debate Ends With This Top 5 All-Time List

Canty’s allegiance to North Carolin and Jordan is understood, same as Peppers’. There’s surely plenty of LeBron fans who feel the same way about The King.

Generation Z has been carrying the LeBron James GOAT banner for years now. Many refuse to accept their father’s GOAT as their own and speak down upon players of the 1990s as forcefully and confidently as 41-year-old Chris Canty pontificates about the unchallenged greatness of Michael Jordan.

“If They Lose We Can’t Let Them Back In The Country”: Charles Barkley With Scathing Warning For Team USA Legends LeBron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant

Charles Barkley is a member of the 1992 Dream Team that heightened the expectations for every Team USA Men’s Basketball team that followed.

This current Team USA compilation has been compared to the Dream Team as far as star power and iconic players are concerned. LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Steph Curry are all Top 20 players in history.

LeBron James has been called The GOAT by more than a few reputable basketball minds, Chef Curry is known as the greatest shooter ever and the most influential player of this generation as far as how he impressed his style on the league.

Kevin Durant is proving that he is the prototype for tall wings with lethal shooting abilities at any spot on the floor. Team USA had a couple of close games enroute to going 5-0 in the exhibitions leading up to the Olympics.

Still undefeated after four Olympic Games, there are those who still leave the window open for the possibility that another squad such as Canada or a Germany could upset Steve Kerr’s talented team.

Team USA smacked Brazil 122-87 on Tuesday to advance to the semifinals of the 2024 Summer Olympics. Devin Booker led Team USA with 18 points, Joel Embiid started and scored 14 points and Anthony Edwards added 17 of his own off the bench.

They now face Nikola Jokic and Serbia (who overcame a 24-point deficit in their last win) in the Olympics semifinals on Thursday in a rematch of the group-stage game won by Team USA.

This is the game that some analysts have suggested could be where Team USA stubs its toe and takes an L.

Charles Barkley Says Team USA Can’t Return To Country If It Doesn’t Win Gold

If that were to happen, Barkley says it would be unforgivable.

On the “Podcast P,” Barkley stated: “Listen, if they lose we can’t let them back in the country. We can’t. I told them they can’t come back. I mean, because with the team we got, I mean, it’s no excuse for us to lose the gold medal. All they got to do is go out there and play hard, play unselfish, because that’s really the key. Like we talked about it a little bit earlier, Joel, heck of a player, we’re not gonna walk the ball up and down the court to give it to you.”

Barkley also sent a message to LeBron about the way he conducts the offense when he’s in. Suggesting that the living legend who rescued Team USA from an embarrassing loss against South Sudan in exhibition play has a tendency to get too methodical and ball dominant rather than rely on the superior talent of his teammates.

Barkley added: “LeBron, we’re not gonna walk the ball up and down the court same thing. Like, whoever is in the game, like, hey, let me just play basketball. It was so easy on the first Dream Team, like, yo, we got two starting lineups. Y’all play the first 10, we play the second 10, let’s just play basketball. We’re not really going to run no plays, because if we play great defense and push it that’s all we got to do.”

Let’s not forget that some fans blame Steph Curry’s uncharacteristically poor shooting entering the game against Brazil (33% from the field and 24 % from three-point range) on LeBron’s system of running an offense.

“LeBron Was Most Def Ball Hogging”: Fans Blame LBJ For Steph Curry’s Poor Shooting, “Forcing the GREATEST Shooter Ever Into a Role Player”

They say Bron was ball hogging, which is why he probably stepped back a bit in these last two Olympic games. Team USA (4-0) has basically smoked Serbia with two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, South Sudan in the rematch of a close game, Puerto Rico and then Brazil.

Kevin Durant Demolishing Records Books As Antman Emerges

All of these inner issues aren’t affecting the results. Anthony Edwards has finally emerged as the team’s leading scorer followed by KD and Bron.

KD has eclipsed Carmelo Anthony as the greatest Olympian in Team USA basketball history. The Slim Reaper scored 11 points and passed Lisa Leslie (488 points) for the most points at the Olympics by any USA Basketball player, male or female.

The record-breaking dunk for Durant, who is trying to become the first men’s player to win four Olympic golds in basketball, came with 2:36 left in the third quarter and the Americans up 29. KD is looking for a record fourth Olympic gold. (2012, 2016, 2021, 2024). Leslie also made four appearances (1996, 2000, 2004, 2008).

Team USA is expected to continue its demolition of competition, but some have pointed to games against Canada and Germany as potential losses if Steve Kerr’s group doesn’t come to play.

Charles Barkley Will Honor 10-Year/$210M Contract With TNT

If they do falter, Sir Charles, who announced he will stay with TNT and honor his 10-year $200M contract he signed in 2022, will probably be at the borders refusing to let them back into the country.

New York Liberty Stars Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu Continue To Be Silent But Lethal Forces In Team USA Women’s Basketball

This is probably the first time all WNBA season, where Caitlin Clark isn’t the center of the women’s basketball world.

And if you are paying attention, her absence from the Olympics hasn’t done anything to hurt the popularity of the team or keep the event from being one of the most popular at the Paris Games.

There’s still plenty of star power to go around, including two players who are also trying to bring home an elusive WNBA championship. Breanna Stewart is the 2023 WNBA MVP who plays alongside the league’s most feared sharp-shooter in Sabrina Ionescu.

While the rookies of the league have snatched the headlines, sort of like a new toy in an old toy chest, “S&S” have continued to set standards of excellence for the WNBA during the season and internationally.

Their impacts were no more evident than during Group C play when the tandem helped put finishing touches on Team USA’s 87-68 victory over Germany in Lille that advanced the team and extended its Olympic winning streak to 58 games dating back to the 1992 Barcelona Games.

Stewart and fellow WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson combined for 27 points on matching 6-for-11 shooting from the field. Ionescu efficiently led the second unit effort.

They’ll meet Nigeria later today in a quarterfinal matchup (3:30pm on Peacock).

Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu Make NY Liberty Olympics History

Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu are the first Liberty tandem to ever play on an Olympic team together. They have lifted the Liberty to a WNBA-leading 21-4 record with league play set to resume after the Olympics on Aug. 15.

Stewart and Ionescu both had shoe deals before Caitlin Clark ever hooked up with Nike. Stewart is the most decorated college player in history, winning four-straight titles with UConn and a remarkable win streak of 100 games that began in November of 2014 and lasted for over two years.

Prior to Clark entering the league, Stewart was one of several legends who sent warning shots to Clark, preparing her for the road ahead.

It’s Not Just Black Girls Who Think Caitlin Clark Is Overhyped | Four-Time NCAA Champion Breanna Stewart Says Clark Must Win Title To Be All-Time Great

If anyone is qualified to advise Clark on how to navigate winning it’s Stewie. She’s no stranger to championships at the pro level either,  leading the 2018 and 2020 Seattle Storm to WNBA titles, alongside legendary point guard Sue Bird. The NY super duo won the third and fourth titles of the Seattle Storm Dynasty.

Bird has since retired, and Stewie brought her live show to the bright lights of Barclay’s Center in New York City, where she led the Liberty to the WNBA finals in 2023 before losing to the back-to-back champion Las Vegas Aces.

Stewie did secure her second WNBA MVP award last season and is contention again this year.

The NY Super Duo, Sue Bird & Breanna Stewart, Lead Seattle Storm Dynasty

Stewart has had a luxury of elite point guards who can shoot and assist in Bird and now Ionescu. Such guards complement the versatility of her game to perfection. This season, Stewart has even taken a back seat to the elevation of Ionescu, who after nearly defeating Steph Curry in a “Battle of the Sexes” three-point shootout during NBA All-Star Weekend, is averaging a team-high 19.8 points per game for the Liberty.

“It’s Not Gender, It’s Not Genetics” | Kenny Smith Says He Was “Advocating” For Sabrina Ionescu, Not Doubting Her Ability To Compete With Stephen Curry

Coming out of college Ionescu was Caitlin Clark before Caitlin Clark arrived. Ionescu, a three-time Nancy Lieberman Award winner as the nation’s top point guard, averaged 17.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and an NCAA-leading 9.1 assists as a senior with the Oregon Ducks.

Known as a true stat-stuffer (same as Clark), Ionescu graduated as the NCAA record holder for career triple-doubles and the only NCAA woman or man to reach 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, and 1,000 assists.

A friend and mentee of the late Kobe Bryant, Ionescu’s public profile exploded after she spoke eloquently at the memorial service for the NBA legend and his daughter Gianna.

We know about Sabrina’s talent, heart and sacrifice for team.

Ionescu Battled Injuries Early In WNBA Career

Her rookie year as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft was challenging and tested her will as she was forced to the sidelines soon after her season began due to a Grade 3 left ankle sprain, she suffered during Liberty’s 84-78 loss to the Atlanta Dream.

Following a minor ankle procedure, she returned to the court but was clearly compromised. the pressure of carrying women’s basketball on her shoulders forced her “rush back into playing. New York was so excited to have the number one pick. And, I felt I had let my team down,” Ionescu expressed in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine.

Doctors had to remove a loose bone chip that was causing issues with the tendon behind her ankle during the surgery. It was a procedure that requires a significant amount of time to heal, so Ionescu played in just three games her rookei season.

When the next season arrived, the 5-foot-11 guard was totally committed to returning regardless of the consequences. Though she posted more than respectable numbers (averaging 11.7 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.7 rebounds) while playing in all 30 games, it almost cost her a career.

She recalled, “I let all the media scrutiny get into my head and it took a huge toll on me. I wasn’t 100% and I almost had to have a second reconstructive surgery; I was playing in pain.”

That kind of grit and resilience is why Ionescu is a no-brainer to be a part of Team USA.

Stewart is just behind Ionescu, seventh in the WNBA in scoring at 19.3 points per game. Either player could be averaging more, but they have such a balanced attack, that these two Olympians have found the perfect mix.

They have brought that unselfish, dogged mentality to this Olympic mix of elite players.

Breanna Stewart Went Crazy In WNBA All-Star Game

After she exploded with 31 points in a loss to Team WNBA in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game and has remained aggressive and red hot in the Olympics.

In the opening Group C win over Japan (102-76) Stewart, A’ja Wilson, and Brittney Griner dominated the paint and set the tone for Team USA as it strives to win its unprecedented eighth straight gold medal.

Wilson had 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocked shots and Stewart was deadly on both sides of the ball, scoring 22 points. Ionescu ran the second team with precision and contributed 11 points.

Against Belgium, Stewart led the team with 26 points on 8 of 14 shooting and hit 9 of her 10 free throws. Ionescu led the team in assists with 5 in 19 minutes.

Look for both players to show out against Nigeria, their next victim.

These players will be key to Team USA’s continues success and the impact of their performance, especially in the clutch, can’t be underestimated. There’s a reason why the New York Liberty are the best team in the WNBA.

“The Ridiclous Arrogance of USA”: Social Media Eviscerates NFL Star Marlon Humphrey For Calling Simone Biles “Disgusting” For Bowing Down To Rebeca Andrade

Baltimore Ravens star running back Marlon Humphrey loves his country. So much that he lashed out at Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles after the Team USA gymnasts bowed to Rebeca Andrade in a show of Olympic sportsmanship after Andrade rose to gold in the individual floor finals competition.

Marlon Humphrey Didn’t Like Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles Bowing

For some reason, Humphrey really didn’t like that display of sportsmanship, and the cornerback took to X to give Biles and Chiles a piece of his mind after the two American gymnasts lost to Brazil’s Andrade in Monday’s floor finals.

In his post on X, Humphrey wrote a blunt one-line expression of his emotions in the moment saying, “This is literally disgusting,” to go along with a picture capturing the moment between the three athletes.

He definitely wasn’t feeling the bowing, especially when Simone Biles is the most decorated gymnast in history and nobody bows down to her when she lives on the gold medal podium. It’s all love and respect, but nobody is going overboard to degrade themselves for someone else’s glory.

People get emotionally caught up in the Olympics, and it’s still seen as a battle of nations, even though unity among athletes and nations is the narrative the athletes constantly exhibit in loss and victory.

The way fans ride for their nations is similar to the NFL, where fans go hard for their hometown teams.

Biles defended herself on “Today” Tuesday morning, explaining that gymnastics is all about sportsmanship and support for fellow athletes . It’s a grueling sport that requires thousands of hours of practice and ensuring all kinds of challenges both physically and mentally.

Getting through days of grueling competition or just one routine safely is the objective for all gymnasts.

Biles said she will leave the competition value to people like Humphrey who rage at the screen. She doesn’t care whether she wins or loses.

She added she will always support her competitors, because they work just as hard as she does and “you have to give them their flowers.” Biles noted she and Jordan did just that and they were happy for Andrade, who, in her view, deserved the gold.

Humphries probably didn’t know that Andrade left home at a young age to devote her life to gymnastics and has suffered three ACL tears. She’s overcome some daunting odds in her rise to one of Brazil’s most decorated Olympians.

Humphrey undoubtedly had to face some smoke on social media as people weighed on the controversy, with Humphrey gathering very little support for his comment.

Regardless of the pushback, Humphrey said what he said, and there are probably a few Americans who also get caught up in the moment and feel the same way. None of them, however, could be found in the responses to his post.

”God forbid athletes show respect to a fellow athlete who has suffered a torn ACL multiple times,” said one X user, chastising Humphrey for his lack of compassion.

The roast was lengthy and came in all languages.

As one X user stated: “These girls know each other, Rebeca has been trying to win gold and finally did. They are happy for her. Please relax.”

Go easy on Marlon, he’s in football season mode watching gymnastics. His emotions are all over the place.

Women, Beware. “Family Man” Tyreek Hill Might Have 10 Kids, Does Have New Contract: $90M Deal With $65M Guaranteed Ensures NFL Star Leaves No Child Behind

Over the weekend, ESPN reported that Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill will sign an adjusted contract with the Dolphins that will pay him $90 million over the next three years, with $65 million guaranteed.

PFN has since confirmed that the Dolphins have reworked Hill’s contract and with his family increasing often, Hill will need every cent of that money.

“I’m here to stay,” Hill wrote on X Saturday afternoon. “I promise to give you my all this year,” he said in another post.

Tyreek Hill Restructures Contract, Will Make $30M Per

While the full details are not immediately available, it seems Hill’s new deal ensures he’ll see his 2025 salary. Previously, his $23 million in owed compensation was not guaranteed.

“👀 YEAH REEK!!!!!” teammate Jalen Ramsey wrote on X.

With his near future now secured, Hill can now turn his undivided attention to being the best version of himself.

His teammates are certainly rooting for it.

“That’s my dawg,” Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa said when asked about Hill being voted the No. 1 player. “That was unbelievable to have a teammate like that voted best in the league. Doesn’t get better than that.”

Hill Clearly Doesn’t Need Focus Off The Field To Excel On It

Hill’s list of baby mamas and children and possible children, along with several episodes of domestic drama, hasn’t stopped him from performing at the top of the game and getting handsomely rewarded for it.

Hill isn’t the protype No. 1 receiver, lacking the 6-foot height that most GMs crave. He is, however, a world-class sprinter who regularly blazes by defenders, and that’s the main reason why he’s the only player in NFL history with back-to-back 1,700-yard seasons.

So living unorthodoxly and by his own rules and standards is what Hill does — on and off the field. You can also guarantee that whatever he devotes his energy towards he is going to do it big.

“When you’re trying to explain the idea of an outlier, maybe Webster’s [Dictionary] in the definition of outlier you can have a picture of Tyreek,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said. “I think he reinforces the idea that you should never put anything in a box and never hold any individual to the timeline of the norm.

You definitely can’t put Hill’s growing family in a box. They wouldn’t fit.

Early in July, Hill got some news that probably helped expedite the restructuring of his contract. Just weeks after confirming that his wife is expecting a baby, Hill reportedly got blessed with news that he fathered another child with a new woman, which unofficially raised his total number of children to somewhere between 7 and 10.

Rumors suggest he could even have more, and he’s not denying it.

Tyreek Hill is expecting his first child with his wife Keeta Vaccaro with whom he has been married since November 8, 2023. The couple got engaged on July 4, 2021. This reportedly brings his total number of children produced this year to five. (Photo: @keeta_vaccaro/Instagram)

Hill has three children from a previous relationship with ex-fiancée Crystal Espinal, meaning he had up to six children from four women, but in a recent interview on the “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” YouTube channel, he didn’t deny claims that the overall number is much higher.

Tyreek Hill Doesn’t Deny 10 Kids

Hill was asked by one of the hosts: ‘You play offense but off the field, you’re the all-time leading tackler. You’ve got 10 kids. You’re just a family man!’

Hill didn’t confirm or deny the double-digit number of kids — causing the hosts, rapper Gillie Da King and influencer Wallo 267 — to burst out laughing

The newly discovered baby, Trae Love Hill, was born last year on May 2 to Kimberly Kaylee Baker, who had filed a paternity suit the same month. A Florida court has declared the eight-time Pro Bowl receiver the father.

Yes, the Nick Cannon of the NFL is know to go deep better than any receiver in the league, but his ability to hit the target during casual sex has been prolific.

Tyreek Hill’s Baby Mama Drama

Hill has been a busy man. Baker, 30, claimed that the newborn was conceived during an August 2022 hookup with Hill.

She said she was receiving $2,500 from him each month but estimated the real cost of caring for their daughter was closer to $10,000.

“The father has in fact demonstrated utter and abject unconcern for the child in wholly failing to act as a parent and is completely failing to support the child,” Baker’s petition alleged.

Hill didn’t contest the results of a DNA test but argued unsuccessfully that California-based Baker had no grounds to file for paternity in Florida, where he lives and works.

Hill — nicknamed Cheetah because of his blistering speed — is already paying $13,500 in monthly child support for his three kids with former fiancée Crystal Espinal.

In a separate Broward County paternity suit filed last year he was declared the dad of Soul Corazon Hill, born in February 2023.

The boy’s mom, Brittany Lackner, 30, said his initial offer of $2,500 a month was “woefully inadequate” for someone on a $30 million salary before the pair reached a confidential deal.

When Hill isn’t making babies, he’s still trying to meet his next baby mama.

First it was his mansion catching fire, and that was followed by multiple paternity suits which proved Hill fathered three children in an over a four-month span in 2023. Next it was a social media influencer claiming Hill broke her leg doing football drills in the backyard of his South Beach mansion.

None of those children is with his current wife Keeta Vaccaro, whom Hill married in November and has dated on and off for years. Vaccaro is the sister of NFL safety Kenny Vaccaro.

Keeta Vaccaro says Tyreek Hill “smashed” an unlit cigar into her face because she refused to sign a postnuptial agreement, a claim he vehemently denies. (Photos: Getty/Instagram)

Just nine days after the Dolphins season ended with a 26-7 wild card playoff loss to the Chiefs, reports of Hill filing for divorce from Vaccaro after a brief marriage, hit every media outlet. They have reportedly since reconciled.

With quarterback Tua Tagovailoa signing a franchise record $212 million deal with $167 million guaranteed, Hill will be expected to help the Dolphins’ franchise QB to continue to elevate and win some playoff games this season.

If Hill is looking for another huge contract when this one ends at age 33, then he has to keep producing and help the Dolphins get to a Super Bowl. He also doesn’t look as if he’s slowing down anytime soon with his habits of procreation, so he still must think about his future while enjoying the current fruits of his labor.

“They Stole From Rebeca, From Brazil”: Social Media Outraged Rebeca Andrade Was Robbed Of Gold Medal So Italian Gymnast Could Win

Despite Simone Biles and Rebeca Andrade’s absence from the podium for the balance beam finals, both Olympic stars were the epitome of Black Girls Magic and put on an historic show at the Paris Games as the two headliners for women’s gymnastics.

It’s rare that two women of color, from two different countries so thoroughly dominate the Olympic gymnastics stage.

Was Rebeca Andrade Robbed Of Medal In Beam?

It’s also a bit eyebrow-raising when Andrade received scores that seemed to shock both her and Simone Biles, who also missed medaling on the beam.

After it was clear that Biles wouldn’t be medaling, it seems that the forces of Black girl magic worked against Andrade whose flawless beam routine and the low scores that followed, conjured memories of earlier Olympics and gymnastic competitions where the scoring at times seemed unfathomable.

It also sparked outrage on social media.

Social Media Enraged Over Voting For Andrade On Beam

“The scoring for event should be reviewed! The score for Rebeca Andrade is ridiculous. Unfair!” said one fan.

“Unbelievable they stole (the gold) from rebeca from brazil! the one who fell came second,” said another fan.

“That beam had banana peels on it. I also don’t know how Andrade didn’t medal since her and Alice were the only ones to not make mistakes,” another fan complained.

At the conclusion of her routine, Andrade, according to reports, was the gold medal favorite in the eyes of many fans in attendance.

Italy’s Alice D’Amato Wins Gold Medal In Beam

Despite having the No. 2 execution score of the top eight participants, Andrade ended the balance beam final in fourth place, behind Alice D’Amato, Zhou Yaqin, and Manila Esposito.

Andrade earned a final score of 13.933, with an execution score of 8.233 and a difficulty score of 5.700.

The gold medal winner, Italy’s Alice D’Amato, had a final score of 14.366, with an execution score of 8.566 and a difficulty score of 5.800.

At the end of the day, D’Amato was the saving grace for non-melanated competitors as Andrade and Biles nearly swept every category.

It was probably a relief to some to see both Biles and Andrade fail to qualify for a medal in at least one event.

However, it didn’t appear as if Biles nor Andrade agreed with the scoring.

As the Brazilian star was taking a breather after her performance, Biles was seen chatting with Andrade, seemingly shocked at the final scorecard.

You can’t win em’ all, but when you set the personal standard that Biles and Andrade have, you almost have to be flawless or defy comprehension to get your props

Black Girl Magic: Simone Biles and Rebeca Andrade Dominated Olympics

Biles secured a gold medal in the Women’s Individual All-Around, Women’s Team All-Around, and Women’s Vault and a silver medal in Women’s Floor event.

Andrade, who moved away from her mom at 9 years old to pursue her Olympic dreams and the most decorated Olympian in Brazil history, earned a gold medal in Women’s Floor, a silver medal in Women’s Individual All-Around, another silver medal in Women’s Vault and a bronze medal in Women’s Team All-Around.

They swept up. It was almost embarrassing. Winning all those individual events was like rubbing in it. Let’s just say the judges wanted to let another country eat and any imperfection in either champion’s routine was an opening to spread some gold medal love at the Olympics.

I get it.

Marcus Jordan Shows Bronny James The Life He Can Have Without an NBA Career: From Larsa Pippen To Ashley Stevenson, The Prince To Air Jordan Throne Has It All

NBA legend Scottie Pippen is sighing in relief today as months after Marcus Jordan split with Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa in March. Jordan;s now dating a woman closer to his age and in the prime of her sexy — no offense to the “Real Housewives of Miami” star.

Ashley Stevenson. (Photos: @itsashleystevenson/IG)

Marcus is not only living his best life but sending a message to LeBron James’ son Bronny James and all of the sons of legends feeling the pressure to equal their father’s exploits, to chillax and enjoy the perks of princehood.

Michael Jordan Didn’t Pull Strings For Sons To Make NBA

There was no giant push by Jordan to pull strings and get Marcus drafted, nor his brother Jeffrey. He left it up to the NBA scouts and coaches and GMs who make those decisions.

Marcus hasn’t suffered, working in various upper management roles in his father’s business, while developing his own business acumen and enjoying the fruits of the Air Jordan legacy.

That includes an endless supply of beautiful women willing to be pampered by Marcus. The latest is blond bombshell Ashley Stevenson who posted IG pics of the new couple, letting everyone with a negative comment know that she could care less.

Marcus Jordan played high school basketball with his older brother Jeffrey Jordan at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois, and together they led the school to the conference championship and the best season in school history.

Marcus Jordan transferred to Whitney Young Magnet High School in Chicago for his junior and senior seasons, leading the Dolphins to the Illinois 4A Championship and scoring a game-high 19 points in the title game, while garnering MVP honors.

Marcus was rated by ESPNU as the 60th-best high school senior shooting guard in the country, averaging 10.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, before playing at UCF.

Marcus Jordan Spotted With Ashley Stevenson In Cannes

Marcus, 33, was spotted in Cannes, France, where he was enjoying time with model Ashley Stevenson, who posted several videos of the two of them on her Instagram Story.

During a night out at Bâoli, Ashley shared the video seen below.

While at the nightclub, Marcus, son of Michael Jordan, 61, also shared a post, showing off his rumored girlfriend as she danced.

“Ok I see you,” he wrote, along with a star-eyed emoji.

While vacationing, reports say the two were very cozy. Being the son of a billionaire definitely has its perks.

“The two sat next to each other at a table — and at one point, she stroked his inner thigh while they grinned ear-to-ear for a camera,” TMZ reports.

The duo, now consistent content for the paparazzi, was spotted roaming around France with a group of friends, suggesting the couple have known each other for some time.

According to Ashley’s Instagram bio, she graduated from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville with a bachelor of science degree in nutrition and dietetics and is currently based out of Orlando.

Meet The Parents: Larsa Pippen Has Michael Jordan And Juanita’s Blessing To Date Marcus Jordan

Larsa and Marcus called it quits earlier this year after less than two years of dating, reportedly because Larsa felt that their relationship wouldn’t last long term.

In other words, she couldn’t keep Jordan’s interest and knew that he would eventually tire of her. They are — or should be — at two completely different stages of their lives.

“I just think we are on a different journey, and I feel like I have to be true to who I am, what I’m doing, and what he’s doing,” she said in an interview on the “Amy & TJ” podcast in March. “I want him to be happy. He’s a great guy, but I just don’t feel like it’s for me.”

Marcus  responded to Larsa with his honest assessment of the relationship that he felt consisted of her chasing clout for press and attention. The response was a complete 180 from what the two promoted while making their media rounds.

“Rewriting history for clout is not cute,” Jordan wrote on social media. “Funny how ppl change, just to be part of a conversation that’s irrelevant… Why give shorty a heart, when she rather have press… Ooooohhh that’s that nerve.”

The 33-year-old son of iconic NBA legend Michael Jordan and 50-year-old beauty Larsa Pippen’s relationship was a roller coaster of breakups and reconciliations.

The pair initially broke up in February, a year after making their relationship public, and reconciled by Valentine’s Day before splitting again in March.

Larsa and Scottie, on the other hand, were married from 1997 till their divorce in 2021 and have four children together. She’s been in the game a very long time. With all of the controversy that still resonates from Michael Jordan’s “Last Dance” series that dropped during COVID in 2020, Larsa has capitalized on the attention it brought her family as the general public discussed Pippen’s true place in the Chicago Bulls dynasty.

Larsa Pippen Has Also Moved On To New Relationship

Larsa is apparently now dating a reality star.

According to TMZ, Larsa has been dating 28-yr-old Netflix and MTV reality star Zay Wilson. Zay, who is also a country musician, has appeared on Netflix shows The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On and Perfect Match.

Zay performed at Larsa’s 50th birthday party a couple of weeks back and they have reportedly been spending a nice amount of time together.

Undoubtedly, Scottie Pippen has been the brunt of plenty of social media jokes, banter and a few sympathies as the ironic connection between Scottie, MJ, Larsa and Marcus, was food for the social media mosh pit.

Jumpman Gut Punch | Larsa Pippen Will Change Her Last Name After She Marries Michael Jordan’s Son Marcus

Ashley Stevenson Is New Beauty On The Scene

Stevenson is undoubtedly a bombshell with her sights set on superstardom. Some have called her a younger, less annoying version of Larsa.

Marcus’ lack of an NBA career hasn’t hurt his lifestyle or his ability to attract the most desired women. He has his Trophy Room memorabilia business and his “Separation Anxiety” podcast with Pippen took off. Whether or not Bronny James is successful in the NBA surely won’t hurt his value as a man either.

Scottie Pippen Jr. is also doing his thing, just trying to break into the league, and his mom recently attended one of his Summer League games. The 24-year-old plays for the Memphis Grizzlies.

‘Shilo Slapped Him Several Times’ | Anonymous Former Colorado Player Says Deion Sanders’ Program Was A “Bloody Mess” Like Grand Theft Auto

After parting ways with the Colorado program, a former player who remains anonymous, isn’t holding anything back as it pertains to the alleged locker room culture during his tenure.

In fact, he compared the Buffaloes locker room to an ever-popular video game known for wild vehicles and wild police chases.

What’s even crazier is he isn’t the first to reveal how things are done in Boulder and criticize how Coach Prime runs his program.

Grand Theft Auto Locker Room

That anonymous player told Athlon Sports, “It’s like a real-life Grand Theft Auto video game. There are many distractions with fights, guns, and money floating around. The environment is unlike any I’ve ever come from before.”

Those comments sounded eerily similar to those made by former five-star recruit Cormani McClain, who transferred to Florida after one season in Boulder. Upon his departure McClain made mention of “not wanting to play for clicks” and threw major shade at Coach Prime by thanking other coaches and staff but not the legendary Hall of Famer.

According to the anonymous player, McClain had every right to speak as he did and leave.

“I Just Don’t Want To Play For Clicks” | Former Five-Star Recruit Cormani McClain Takes Shot at Deion Sanders and Colorado Buffaloes Following Transfer

“Cormani was taking a lot of heat from everyone,” the player said. “At the same time Coach Prime was saying he was in the doghouse and needed to improve, Cormani was getting bullied by Shilo Sanders. After the Oregon State game, Shilo slapped him several times, which left Cormani yelling ‘I’m going to kill you’ repeatedly. After that, you could tell he wasn’t mentally there. It’s hard when the coaches you trust are calling you derogatory names on the practice field.”

While this is all alleged, it isn’t a good look if true. But, per Coach Prime, McClain’s issues stemmed from laziness, not attending class and being late to team meetings regularly. This was said about him from the time he arrived in Boulder.
