WATCH: First Trailer For The Wu-Tang Clan’s Showtime Docu-Series

Straight from the jungles of Shaolin, the Wu-Tang Clan is bringing something new to solidify their legacy.

The group has an upcoming documentary, “Wu-Tang: Of Mics and Men” and Showtime has released the official trailer.

Showtime Documentary Films dives deeper into the music documentary space with Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men, a four-part limited docuseries from filmmaker Sacha Jenkins (BURN MOTHERF*CKER, BURN!) that transcends the music documentary genre by creating a new lane that merges music, socio-cultural commentary and intimate family portrait.The four-part series examining the cultural history of hip-hop’s most influential group will debut on SHOWTIME this spring.

The four-part docuseries is directed by Sacha Jenkins. From their humble upbringing in Staten Island to sold-out arenas, fans get an insider’s look at the group’s beginnings.

The series will include interviews with all of the living members, never-before-seen archival footage and performances.

The first two episodes of “Wu-Tang: of Mics and Men” screened at the Sundance Film Festival this past weekend. The entire documentary airs on Showtime later this year.

In addition, Hulu recently announced a 10-episode scripted series called “Wu-Tang: An American Saga”. After almost three decades in hip hop, the Wu-Tang still know how to get that C.R.E.A.M.
