Its not enough that Drake is worth $90 million and he graces the Top 5 of Forbes Richest In Hip-Hop as often as a Cardi B record is played. Its not enough that he has gone from playing wheelchair Jimmy on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation to the top of the music game.
Drake has to also make his presence felt at the Toronto Raptors playoff games. An artist that people say is one of the most original to ever grace hip-hop chooses to copy the styles of former player antagonists such as Spike Lee with the Knicks and longtime Lakers faithful Jack Nicholson and make himself the center of attention.

Drake and Kendrick Perkins were apparently still jawing back and forth after the Raptors loss. https://t.co/WnbbHF0WhD
We know Drake is a minority owner, but he doesnt have to get into a pre-game confrontation with the opposing team or its coaches for us to know that he is supportive and invested emotionally in the Raptors’ success. Tuesday nights verbal exchange with Cleveland assistant coach Kendrick Perkins was interesting but unnecessary. The 113-112 overtime loss Toronto suffered at the hands of LeBron and Cleveland just made it worse. Why fire up a team who already has your number?

In a text message to ESPN, Kendrick Perkins says: “What happened was I was talking to my old teammate Serge (Ibaka) walking into halftime telling him ‘We about to win this game,’ and Drake butted in talking shit to me. So I said something back to him.” https://t.co/sJ3Ntx6zVy
This is an NBA playoff game between LeBron and Toronto and the Raptors have a better chance of dethroning the King than ever. It’s not a concert. Im all for Drakes entrepreneurship and enthusiasm, but the crazy fan spiel is a bit played out. And Champagne Papi knows he doesnt want it with Big Perk so all of the theatrics are unnecessary, but it did add to the tension and excitement in the building so I wont totally knock Drake for his antics. Hes always good for a lit show.
