The year of Cardi B continued on Sunday night at the 2018 iHeart Radio Music Awards.

Cardi B & G-Eazy Medley (Live at Heart Radio Music Awards)

In typical fashion, everything that she said or did was a social media hit. The fire-spitting, crossover songstress from the BX continues to write her fairytale by receiving iHeart Radio's Best New Hip-Hop Artist Award.

A key factor in Cardi B’s historic rise has been her refusal to keep it anything but authentic. She is confident and loud, but realistic and even self-deprecating at times, and is known for defending her opinions. She’s been a breath of fresh air for women who find strength in her success and unwavering honesty.

This Sunday, her maroon gown flattered every curve as she received her award from The Chainsmokers. She was raw and real and had the crowd bugging out from her first sentence.

Cardi was all up in the awards performance rotation as well.

She came out of the gate with the crowd-pleasing performance of "No Limit" as she was joined by G-Eazy.  She also had the crowd rocking to "Bartier Cardi," "Motor Sport" and her verse on Bruno Mars' "Finesse (Remix).

The awards show was just another step up the ladder of success for Cardi, whose working relationship with Bruno Mars has already produced a Billboard smash, but has led to her joining him on his  24K Magic World Tour.

Cardi keeps playing by her own rules, breaking the mold, selling hella downloads while she's at it.
