The stress of her meteoric rise from stripper to global rap icon has got to be getting to Cardi B a bit these days. In addition to her pregnancy, she’s had to deal with a war of words with rap rival Nicki Minaj. On Monday, a local rapper was beat down by her baby daddy Offsets goons for requesting an autograph and getting a little mouthy after he was rudely denied his request.
This incident was apparently driven by the overwhelming emotion of the evening, where the 2018 Met Gala brought all of the celebrities out in full regalia.
In the video you see a pregnant Cardi walk by and say something to the fan. Later you hear her a lady with a slightly raspy voice that sounded like the Bodak Yellow star yelling, No, No after the men that were with her got out of the black vehicle walked across the street and proceeded to put a whipping on the smack-talking fan.

How can you say someone changed their verse & forget to say Quavo TOLD me to remove my singing part (which I loved) & Atlantic told me to remove your name from my verse per your request? So how were those changes gonna happen if I didn’t “change” my verse?
Then, when Minaj dropped her pair of singles, “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz”, the subliminal were ear piercing. She also dropped some bombshells during an interview with Zane Lowe in response to Cardi’s “hurtful” comments. also added some insight about how Quavo didnt back her up in the situation and the hard-spitting rap emcee even shed some tears about how she was treated and made to look like a villain and a liar.
Nicki Minaj Addresses “Beef” Around Cardi B, Quavo & “Motorsport”
Nicki Minaj interviews with Zane Lowe of Beats 1 radio and talks about being hurt by Cardi B & Quavo and feeling ambushed post Motorsport music video and more.
The entire situation reminded me of when Queens rap legend LL Cool J did to an up-and-coming flamethrowing rapper named Cannabis on the joint 4,3,2,1 back in 1997.
Via hiphopdx.com:
By now everyone knows the story of how LL Cool J threatened to drop Bis from the track unless Canibus removed his line about borrowing the microphone tattooed on HIs arm. Everyone else seemed to understand the line wasnt a diss, but Canibus changed his verse anyway. By then, LL had already recorded a vicious response to Canibus original rhyme. And while he kept Canibus on the track, he essentially dissed his up-and-coming guest on the same song. Later, LL would rationalize the move by saying no one would have known whom the bars were directed at if Canibus kept the matter quiet.
LL Cool J VS Canibus Beef 2

While LL took his beef with Canibus to a next level and ended the budding star’s career, Nicki and Cardi took a more civilized approach and the situation came to a respectful head at the Met Gala where the two women of color who are simultaneously moving major units and holding the crown in hip-hop and breaking unprecedented ground, discussed their beef, face-to-face with class.
Like bosses do.
Two days later, Bardi joined The Howard Stern Show and she explained the “misunderstanding” that had to be cleared up between the two showstoppers.
I never was feuding with anybody, Cardi explains. There was a misunderstanding. She felt a certain type of way about something and I definitely felt a certain type of way about something. Didnt want to ever talk about it in public because I felt like we gonna see each other again and we will talk about it,” the Bronx native quipped. “Its always little issues but the thing is, fans are always gonna make it a big thing. I spoke to her about it. Its just like, see? It was just something that it had to be talked about.”
The beef has simmered and instead of Twitter wars, Instagram drama and the poison of the social media mill flaming a competition and rivalry between two women who should consider making an album together and blowing the entire game to pieces, maybe we can get another collaboration between the two MCs while they are at the top of their games because we know fame is fleeting.

There are powers that exist who undoubtedly feel that Cardi B and Nicki Minaj being at odds makes both of them easier to control. Keeping them enemies manipulates the situation and weakens both of the womens abilities to take over the game any further, leaving room for middle men to control the flow of the relationship and how the money is made. He could be larger than life if they decide to break bread instead of breaking fly with each other.
