Prairie View didn't exacty go down without swinging. Southern was up by seven with just over a minute left to play. The Jaguars had pushed ahead of the Panthers with what appeared to be a decisive 7-0 run in the waning minutes of the game. Then Prairie View got fresh with them, knocked down some jumpers and forced turnovers with increased pressure.
The Panthers even had a chance at a game-winning shot with 10 seconds left to play. But Jourdan DeMuynck made a move in the lane and lost control of the ball, ruining what could've potentially been a wild comeback for Prairie View.
