Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys Agree On New Monster Deal

Big news this morning comes out of Dallas as Zeke Elliott has agreed to a monster new deal with the Cowboys.

Elliott, the two-time NFL rushing champion, and the team have agreed on a six-year extension worth more than $90 million according to sources.

ESPN’s Todd Archer reports that the deal includes $50 million guaranteed, which surpasses the Rams’ Todd Gurley and his $45 million guaranteed deal, and also places Elliott at the top of the running back list.

The 24 year-old rushing star was under contract through 2020 and wasn’t happy with the $3.853 million and $9.09 million he was to make over the next two seasons. His new max deal, when coupled with his previous contract, balloons to $103 million over eight years.

Other details are yet to be revealed, but the Cowboys and their fans are starting the day happy knowing that their star, the fourth overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft, two-time NFL rushing leader and two-time All-Pro back, will be returning to the team this season and for the foreseeable future.
