Report: Director John Singleton Alive, Currently On Life-Support

Reports vary of the film director’s health.

Today there are conflicting reports regarding the health of director John Singleton nearly three weeks after he reportedly suffered from a massive stroke on April 17.

Singleton, who burst on the scene as a film prodigy with his Oscar-nominated 90’s film “Boyz In Da Hood”, has been in a coma since that time and his condition had deteriorated significantly since he checked himself into the Cedar Sinai Hospital because of pain in his leg.

Currently, none of the treatments he has been given has any effect on his condition.

Though many outlets are reporting that he has passed away, TMZ reports that he is still alive but unresponsive after the stroke. Singleton is 51-years-old and synonymous with telling stories that are sincere and realistic regarding life in South Central Los Angeles.

As of Friday, Singleton’s mother Sheila Ward and daughter Cleopatra Singleton are engaged in a legal battle for conservatorship over his business and legal affairs.
