“Money May” officially takes his talents to Japan.
Floyd “Money” Mayweather is “fighting” in Japan on New Year’s Eve. This is old news but the fight is now confirmed after a pump fake huge press conference in Japan.
Mayweather will still face Tenshin Nasukawa, the RIZIN Fighting Federation star in a special exhibition fight at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The two addressed the media at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas.
“This is a great way for me to go out there and give people some entertainment,” said Mayweather. “It’s an exhibition match, but it’s giving me a chance to do something different.”
“I’m not the jealous type. I’m not upset with these fighters. I’m proud to see these fighters…there’s a difference between a 7-figure fighter and a 9-figure fighter. Totally different! I mean, some of us is just blessed, and I’m one of the fortunate ones…I put myself in a position that I can travel the world, shake hands, and make millions of dollars.” – @floydmayweather is a straight shooter and as real as it gets. ? ? @leonardellerbe with the “mmmhmm” ad-libs in the background. ? And that guy in the middle is @tenshin.nasukawa, who Mayweather will “spar” 3 rounds for a light 7-figure check. ?? #CantKnockTheHustle. #MayweatherNasukawa #NewYearsEve #Rizin #TMT #Boxing #Boxeo #FightHype

“There’s never been a Japanese fighter to face Floyd Mayweather in the ring,” said Nasukawa. “As an athlete, this is something that’s a great honor and a challenging task. I’d like to make a big impression.
“I want to get the whole fight community, the whole country of Japan and the entire world involved in this fight. I’m going to go in there believing in myself and ready to prove myself.”
