Marquette’s Henry Ellenson Signs With Roc Nation Sports

Marquette University’s star freshman point forward has joined the Roc Nation hoops roster. He becomes the eighth basketball player to sign with Roc Nation Sports, joining the likes of Kevin Durant, Skylar Diggins, Justise Winslow, Willie Cauley-Stein, Wilson Chandler, James Young and Caris LeVert.

A highly-touted high school recruit, Ellenson earned first team All-Big East First Team honors, Big East Freshman of the Year, and finished  the 2015-16 season as Marquettes all-time freshman scoring and rebounding leader.

In is college debut, he scored 21 points and snagged 16 rebounds, while also handing out three assists against Belmont University. He went on to average 17.0 points and 9.7 rebounds per game for the year.

Marquette might not have made major noise on the national stage this year, but Ellenson sure did. He was a finalist for the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award, and the Wayman Tisdale National Freshman of the Year Award.

According to some recent mock draft prognostications, Ellenson is projected to be a first round pick, falling somewhere between ninth and 20th overall pick, depending on who you listen to.
