Marcus Mariota finally joins the Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans officially inked former Heisman winner Marcus Mariota Tuesday, making him the last of the first round draft picks to sign with their respective team.

The make up of the rookie deal has yet to be released by the the Titans but is reportedly worth $24.2 million guaranteed plus a $15.9 million signing bonus.

The former Duck’s deal was finalized right on time, a week before training camp begins, so there should be no issues moving along for the rookie QB. Mariota has received great reviews from his current teammates and praise from the coaching staff as to how quickly he has picked up the team’s offense and gelled with the receiving core.

Mariota left Oregon after his redshirt junior season. He stood out that year, heading the most efficient offense in the country as well as leading all quarterbacks with a 90.9 rating. His resume also included him throwing for 4,454 yards and 42 touchdowns, while rushing for 770 yards and 15 scores, all while only throwing four interceptions last season.

Now that the business has been taken care of, Mariota can focus on gearing up for the showdown against the No. 1 overall selection from the draft, Jameis Winston, during the season opener at Tampa Bay.
