Kevin Durant’s Adopted Brother, Cliff Dixon, Killed Outside Atlanta Bar

Dixon was out celebrating his birthday when the fatal incident occurred.

According to multiple reports, Suitland native and Kevin Durant’s “adopted brother” Cliff Dixon was shot and killed outside of an Atlanta-area nightclub.


Dixon, who’s a former Western Kentucky basketball player, was out celebrating his 32nd birthday. He had just arrived at the bar and was standing in the parking lot when someone shot him multiple times early Thursday morning.

Police responded to the scene around 1 a.m. The shooter reportedly escaped on foot. Dixon was taken to the Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition and later died.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call Chamblee police.
