The basketball sneaker market has been hot lately, with names like LaMelo Ball, Russell Westbrook and Jimmer Fredette all getting their own custom shoes to ball in during the season.
Wait. Jimmer Fredette? The former BYU star?
He’s in the NBA?
No. He’s balling in China.
Jimmer had 73 points on 25/49 shooting (13/13 FTs), 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in a 135-132 double OT loss to Zhejiang. He was 10/18 from three as Shanghai moved to 30-8 on the season. Instagram: @thejimmerwatch Twitter: @thejimmerwatch Website: thejimmerwatch.weebly.com
That’s right basketball fans. Jimmy Fredette, who lit up college basketball with crazy range and mad skills, has been balling in China, was named MVP of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) after averaging 37.6 ppg for the Shanghai Sharks, and now has his own signature shoe.
Over in China, Jimmer Fredette just unveiled his own signature shoe with Chinese brand 361, and they’re kinda fire. Thoughts?
Fredette’s line was created by Chinese brand 361, and while they might resemble some other brands (three stripes?), they actually look kind of cool. And, if you think about it, going one degree past full circle is also pretty cool.
