‘It Is What It Is’ | Antonio Brown Doubles Down On Selling T-Shirt With Gisele Bündchen’s Face Amid Tom Brady Divorce

Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown is doubling down on his decision to sell a T-shirt with an image of Gisele Bündchen hugging him after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl LIV win. Of course this is problematic because Bündchen is now the ex-wife of Brown’s former teammate Tom Brady. Brown has continued to troll Brady during the estrangement and ultimate divorce. What’s the deal?

Brown was a guest on Patrick Bet-David’s podcast where Bet-David asked AB why he is trolling Brady and how the continued instances of AB trolling is a bad look, given the sensitive issue Brady is going through.

“This is a charity shirt to raise money for the fatherless kids,” AB told Bet-David, who responded to the mercurial wide receiver with, “Even that’s a dig.”

“What about me? when I’m on the news for.. I’m crazy,” AB responded. “It is what it is.”

AB is not this dense. He knows this is a troll job. While I am not a licensed medical mental health professional and can’t presume to diagnose AB, I can question his sanity. He seems like someone not in his right mind. He hasn’t for quite some time.

“Yeah. That’s obviously a difficult situation, and I think we all want him to just get — I think everybody should find, hopefully do what they can to help him in ways that he really needs it,” Brady told reporters after Brown left MetLife Stadium mid game last season.

Brown lived in Brady and Bündchen’s house when the quarterback lobbied the Bucs to sign the talented but problematic receiver. Brady is someone that has been in AB’s corner.

Is AB so disconnected from reality that he doesn’t see how this is hurtful to a friend? Or former friend? In the grand scheme, it’s not a huge thing. It says so much more about AB than it does Brady.

During the back and forth with Bet-David AB said he “don’t know his girl,” in reference to Bündchen.

“It’s a T-shirt to raise money from a real moment that happened. How is this a reach?” Brown said. “Because they’re going through a divorce? People go through stuff every day, man.”

Brady and Bündchen issued statements last Friday announcing their divorce.

“In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage,” Brady wrote in an Instagram Story. “We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”

Meanwhile the Bucs are 3-5 and in the bottom half of the NFC. Brady leads the league in passing yards, but is 17th in QBR. The team could go on a run and Brady could play elite level for a month or so, but something seems off with this team.

The Bucs have lost three straight and next play the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Nov. 6.
