Falcons DE John Abraham Is Not Afraid Of The Police

So your man, Falcons Defensive End John Abraham was arrested last night, but not for the usual police blotter material. No DUI, no battery, no dramatic sensational charge. He got picked up for obstruction when he purposely entered a crime scene.

From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:  "John Chafee of the APD’s Public Affairs Unit said police were responding to a call about a woman threatening to jump from one of the buildings when Abraham refused to exit the scene. Chafee said police charged Abraham with obstruction of police and obstruction of fire fighters. Chafee said the woman, who did not jump and was uninjured, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

According to a copy of the police report provided by Chafee, officers moved people away from the scene and put up crime scene tape to restrict onlookers from the area. The police report said Abraham entered the restricted area and was confronted by a firefighter who “repeatedly ordered him to leave the scene.”

The details of the event were not released, but we all got a chuckle from the thought of Abraham looking at the cops and hitting them with a shoulder shrug, stepping over the yellow tape, and going about his business.
