BREAKING: NBPA Ousts Executive Director Billy Hunter

Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojarnowski has reported that the NBA players union (NBPA) has voted to oust executive director Billy Hunter. Woj' broke the news on Twitter, as seen below:





This is the culmination of a saga that began in the aftermath of a contentious end to the NBA's 2011 lockout and collective bargaining agreement. Those negotiations with league resulted in a fractured relationship between Hunter and NBPA preseident Derek Fisher. Earlier this month, the union placed Hunter on an indefinite leave of absence, after an internal review asserted that, among other things, Hunter's $15 million contract was signed without proper approval. Hunter will go down throwing haymakers — trust that. So this ain't over.
