Los Angeles — Sacramento Kings rookie Bogdan Bogdanovic took home MVP honors of the 2018 Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night after scoring 26 points and dishing out six assists. The World Team beat Team USA 155-124. Sixers rookie Ben Simmons made all five of his shots and scored 11 points while dishing out 13 assists and snagging six rebounds.
The previous three games were each decided by fewer than 10 points.

The World took advantage of their opponents’ matador defense, hitting close to 60 percent of their shots. Team USA went an abysmal 11-of-40 from three-point range.
Bogdanovich’s Kings teammate Buddy Hield, a native of the Bahamas, scored a team-high 29 points in the win. Jamal Murray scored 21 points as well for the World Team.

The Philadelphia 76ers had three players in the game – Joel Embiid, who saved his energy for Sunday night’s All-Star game, Dario Saric, who had 18 points and Simmons, who all played for the World Team.
The Boston Celtics’ second-year stud Jaylen Brown led all scorers with 35 points. Jayson Tatum added 15 points for Team USA.
