“Won’t Wake Up For Me And Free Pancakes” | Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson Attempts Failed Pro Bowl Breakfast

With the Pro Bowl on Sunday, former NFL player Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson was in the spirit and wanted to do something special for the athletes.

Johnson sent a massive invitation to all current Pro Bowl players to join him for breakfast at an IHOP in Las Vegas, where the Pro Bowl is being played this year.

He used social media to make the overtures; however, no one showed up, and Ocho Cinco had to eat his breakfast alone this morning.

Pancake Ocho

However, Johnson followed up with a tweet that reasoned the players didn’t show up to IHOP due to the time of day; many said the meetup was “too early,” according to reports.

Johnson found the players’ explanation surprising.

“They woke up early for team meetings for 6 months during the season but won’t wake up for me & free pancakes.”

Johnson is known for his unconventional timing.

Broken Training Rule

He recently claimed on the “I Am Athlete” podcast that he had sex three to five times before his boxing match at Hard Rock Stadium and then stepped in the ring with professional fighter Brian Maxwell.

“We did three times, maybe four to five times in three-minute intervals,” said Johnson. “Matter of fact, I had to be at the stadium at Hard Rock,” Chad said. “I think I fought at 8 o’clock. I needed to get that out of my system to relax me.”

In combat sports, trainers discourage fighters from having sex during the training period and lead-up to a fight. That wasn’t going to work for Ocho Cinco.

State of Calmness

“And it put me in a sense of, a state of calmness going into war. That’s fighting. I’m out of my element stepping in a ring with someone that fights for a living. Getting that up out of me was the best thing to do for me,” said Johnson.

The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver is excited about this year’s Super Bowl, as his former team, the Cincinnati Bengals, are in the game. The 44-year-old two-time All-Pro made his most significant impact in the NFL with the Bengals.

In six straight seasons Johnson cleared 1,100 receiving yards from 2002-2007. His spent his last season playing with the New England Patriots in 2011. Although it’s not clear if Johnson is attending the Super Bowl, he shared his feelings on the overpriced seating for the event earlier last week.

Super Bowl Problems

Johnson took to Twitter, posting a seat map with ticket prices for Super Bowl LVI that was costly for the average fan.

With seats in the tens of thousands of dollars, the high-profile event is being upgraded with performances by Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and Dr. Dre.

In a game framed by the head-to-head matchup of two first-time Super Bowl quarterbacks, Chad Johnson keeps it funky over breakfast and continues to be the polarizing thought-provoker the world knows.
