Will and Jaden Smith Given Razzie Awards for Sci-Fi Stinker After Earth

This weekend, the 34th Golden Raspberry Awards were given out to what some feel were the worst film projects of 2013. Primary among the so-called honorees were father and son team Will and Jaden Smith. They were both “awarded” for their performances in the science fiction film After Earth.  Jaden was bestowed with the worst actor award for his role in the film and his Dad was given the worst supporting actor trophy, with both selected as the worst screen combo by online voters. Razzies organizer John Wilson noted the pair were "stranded on Planet Nepotism."

After Earth tied with Movie 43 for the most prizes with three awards. The lampooning featured Halle Berry, Richard Gere, Kate Winslet and Naomi Watts who all earned Razzies for worst picture, screenplay and director. Tyler Perry, and his Madea alter ego, was picked as worst actress for A Madea Christmas, while Kim Kardashian was designated worst supporting actress for her role in the drama Tyler Perry's Temptation. Adam Sandler's Grown-Ups 2 originally led with eight nominations, including worst picture and actor for Sandler. But the comedy sequel wasn't awarded a single trophy.
