What’s A Joke To A D*ck?

The biggest revelation to come out of Dick Cheney's roast was that the man can now laugh after receiving a heart transplant, an emotion not previously thought of as capable for the former Vice President.

What was less surprising was the slew of innappropriate jokes that occured, but given Cheney's track record as a human being (CEO of Halliburton, essentially started the Iraq war, charged with abuse in private prisons case, approval rating went down every year he was in office, involvement in a leak cover-up…I could go on), the range was somewhat limited. So they went with torture.

“There were some waterboarding jokes that were really tasteless,” a guest told Buzzfeed. “I can see the case for enhanced interrogation techniques after Sept. 11 but I can’t really endorse sitting there drinking wine and fancy dinner at the Plaza laughing uproariously about it.”

Apparently even Cheney told a waterboarding joke, though there was no mention of jokes about him shooting a friend on a hunting trip.

Not everyone was bothered by the thought of torturing other human beings at dinner. It was, according to another attendee, “a very sentimental night," particularly in the era of drones where pain and suffering for our enemies is much shorter.
