Trouble In Paradise: Tom Brady And Gisele’s Picture-Perfect Marriage Tested As His Unretirement Has Them At Odds

It’s hard to be Tom Brady.

As a superstar NFL quarterback, he has the pressure year after year to pull off the impossible: keep winning Super Bowls. However, the lesser-known plight is that of his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen. She has held down the fort for their family of two children and Brady’s other son from a previous relationship while Brady has been able to focus on just being great.

The model has now reportedly left their family compound in Tampa, Florida, and is now in Costa Rica after heated arguments occurred.

Brady’s decision to retire then unretire has stoked the ire of Bündchen, who was looking for some relief from running their household after his entire career as the top quarterback in the NFL. However, Brady’s reversal from that decision has not sat well with Gisele. It also explains why Brady recently missed time with the team without a solid explanation.

“Tom and Gisele are in a fight right now,” Page Six reported it was told by an unnamed source. They reported that the couple has been in spats and made up in the past.

Brady mysteriously missed 11 days of training in August, leaving the world unsure about his status. After grilling Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles, who was coy and avoiding a concrete answer, Brady eventually shed some light when he returned.

“It’s all personal; everyone’s got different situations they’re dealing with. We all have really unique challenges to our life. I’m 45 years old, man. There’s a lot of s–t going on.”

In late January, reports were that Brady was retiring from football after 22 seasons. The legendary QB, who won a staggering seven Super Bowl titles and is widely considered the greatest quarterback in NFL history, left the field for what many believed was the last time after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Brady’s decision to retire was reportedly based on several factors, which were family and health. The health part is that he would be 45 years old if he decided to continue playing, which he ultimately did. The family part would have everything to do with his commitment to football versus his presence in his family’s day-to-day life.

“There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids,” another source told Page Six. “They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.”

Gisele Bündchen, a Brazilian supermodel, seemingly traded her successful career to be at the side of Brady, who lives a life of intense training and preparation for most of the year. She was not happy about it toward the end.

“I don’t think relationships just happen; it’s never the fairy tale people want to believe it is,” Bündchen told British Vogue. “It takes work to be really in sync with someone, especially after you have kids,” she said, adding, “His focus is on his career, mine is mostly on the kids.”

It’s hard being Tom Brady, with the world marveling at his ability to compete on the NFL level at 45 and the pressure to get one more championship. However, it’s harder to be Tom Brady when you know your supermodel wife is unhappy with that decision.
