Tim Duncan Returns To Spurs As An Assistant Coach

Tim Duncan was living his best life in retirement, but apparently the basketball bug was still lingering.

Today we’ve learned that the 5x NBA Champion has rejoined the Spurs, this time as an assistant coach under head coach Gregg Popovich.

Duncan, who graduated from Wake Forest in 1997, played for the Spurs for 19 seasons, retiring after the 2016 season.

“It is only fitting, that after I served loyally for 19 years as Tim Duncan’s assistant, that he returns the favor,” said Coach Popovich.
