The Indiana Pacers were flopping like beached dolphins during Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. On Thursday, the NBA fined both Roy Hibbert and Lance Stephenson for their crimes against thespians.
Lance Stephenson's second flop against LeBron James earned him a $10,000 fine and the ignominious title of being the four-time recidivist flopper punished by the league. Hibbert was fined $5,000.
Watching 7-2 behemoth/Master of Verticality Roy Hibbert flop worse than his appearances on NBC's Parks & Rec was hilarious enough until you realize that the imaginary bump which made him go shooting out of an imaginary cannon in Game 5 came from tiny Mario Chalmers. As much flack as the Miami Heat get their incessant flopping, the Indiana Pacers who are supposedly the NBA's WWE Hardcore champions on the defensive end are also kings of the flop. Of course that means we'd have to rescind their championship belt because as everyone knows by now, pro wrestling is as real as it gets.
Roy Hibbert was fined $5,000 for this flop. Pacers have been most penalized team since flopping rules instituted: http://t.co/9kq4EwSdV4
