The Cast is Set for Broadway’s Tupac Musical

The cast for Holler if You Hear Me, the Broadway musical inspired by the lyrics of Tupac Shakur, has been announced with Poet/Actor/Musician Saul Williams selected as the lead. The production will be staged at the Palace Theater and previews start on May 26 with the official opening set for June 19.

Williams, best known for the 1998 film Slam and has worked with Trent Reznor in 2007 for The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust.  The play will not tell the story of Tupac’s life, but is inspired by his music. Tonya Perkins, John Earl Jelks, Christopher Jackson and Saycon Senglob round out the cast. A Raisin in the Sun on Broadway’s Kenny Leon is directing and the musical was penned by Todd Kreidler.
