Panthers Give Ron Rivera A Two Year Contract Extension

Before the Panthers take the field against the Saints tomorrow in their playoff matchup, the Panthers wanted to give the team one less thing to think about, so they gave their head coach, Ron Rivera, a two year contract extension.

The two year deal is worth $15.5 million according to Ian Rapoport

This is the first major deal from the team’s new COO, Tina Becker, who was promoted after team owner Jerry Richardson announced he was selling the team

The 56 year old head coach, the only Latino American head coach in the League, has a seven year record of 64-47-1, including a Super Bowl appearance in 2016, four playoff appearances in the past five years and a record this year of 11-5.
