Damian Lillard Releases His First Hip Hop Album 

Portland Trail Blazers and All-NBA point guard Damian Lillard released his first rap album today titled “The Letter O.

Ripping up the music scene over social media the past several years, Lillard launched the Instagram freestyle rap challenge #4BarFriday in September of 2013. The community has grown to more than 70,000 followers with many notable athletes and celebrities submitting videos.

Lillard impressed millions with his freestyle rap skills through a visit to Sway in the Morning during the 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend in New York.

Over the past year, Lillard released original songs and mixtape freestyles on SoundCloud as Dame D.O.L.L.A.

The Letter O includes 12 original songs by Lillard and features Grammy-winning artists Jamie Foxx, Raphael Saadiq and Lil Wayne, as well as multi-platinum selling artist Juvenile, critically acclaimed artist Marsha Ambrosius and newcomer Adrian Marcel.

Lillards single “Hero, with Saadiq, was featured in the adidas Originals video series Songs from Scratch that made its debut last week.

The Letter O is now available for purchase on iTunes and via streaming on Apple Music and Spotify.
