Star Wars Cast Gathering in London

The Star Wars film franchise is easily the most lucrative film series of all time with six current in-canon Star Wars films having been released since 1977.  Now, with the seventh installment soon to go in production in Britain at Pinewood Studios, fans and paparazzi have been on the lookout for Jedi knights and Sith lords alike.  To that end, Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Mark Hamil (Luke Skywalker) and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia of Organa) have all been spotted in recent days.  The old school cast who starred in the first three installments have now been confirmed to be heavily involved in the JJ Abrams’ film.  Peter Meyhew will be in Chewbacca's Wookie suit for a fifth film, while Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker return as robots C-3PO and R2-D2 respectively, according to an announcement by Disney.

The ever sarcastic Carrie Fisher took to Twitter as well, saying: "So my do dog Gary has been spotted in London, but apparently without me. Who has he been seeing? Let me know if you have any clues."

Harrison Ford was recently spotted and photographed leaving London's Hakkasan restaurant last Thursday. Sunday, Stars Wars: The Phantom Menace star Peter Serafinowicz (Voice of Darth Maul) tweeted a picture of himself alongside Hamil.

The Star Wars veterans will be joined by a cast of new, young actors like John Boyega, Adam Driver (HBO’s Girls), Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson of the last two Harry Potter films, Max von Sydow and Lord of the Rings star Andy Serkis.

Star Wars Episode VII will be released in December 2015.
