The Boston Celtics have finally pulled the trigger and the aftermath has Rajon Rondo becoming a Dallas Maverick. In a trade betweetn the Celtics and the Mavericks, Rondo was traded for Jameer Nelson, Jae Crowder, Brandon Wright, two draft picks ( a first rounder in 2015 draft and a second rounder in 2016), and a $12.9 million trade exception. The move gives Boston eight first round picks in the next four years.
Rondo took to Twitter stating that "years w/ the Celtics, fans and city. The opportunity to play with guys like Dirk, Monta, Tyson and the young talent of Chandler is exciting. I look forward to building something special in Dallas." Now with the Celtics fully committed to rebuilding we can only wait and watch as this move plays itself out in the long run. Rondo could be the missing piece for the Mavericks and quickly elevate them from where they currently sit in sixth place in the Western Conference.
My time in Boston has meant so much. I've grown up with this city both as a basketball player and person. The love I have for the most loyal
