The last couple of weeks for Quincy Pondexter have been a rollercoaster ride in life experiences. First the Memphis Grizzlies beat both the Clippers and the Thunder en route to the franchise’s first ever trip to the Western Conference Finals. However, once there, they ran up against the buzz saw that is the San Antonio Spurs and were bounced in a quick and tidy 4-0 sweep. Flipside of that is that Pondexter played great, and was arguable Memphis’ best player.
Immediately after their postseason ouster were rumors that coach Lionel Hollins may not return next season. Pondexter countered that by asking out the reigning Miss Tennessee, a request she accepted mind you. Maybe the date will suck and will continue his up and down trend, but it’s a great way to start off the summer, to say the least.
