Quentin Moses, a 33-year-old former linebacker with the Miami Dolphins, died in a house fire in Georgia early Sunday.
Moses was found unconscious inside the burning home in the City of Monroe just after 6 a.m. after firefighters arrived.
He was administered CPR and then taken to a local hospital where he later died. Firefighters later discovered the bodies of 10-year-old Jasmine Godard and her mother, 31-year-old Andria Godard, inside the home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Andria Godard and her daughter, Jasmine, were found dead at the scene.

Moses played four seasons with the Dolphins after being drafted out of the University of Georgia by the Oakland Raiders in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft, totaling three-and-a-half sacks with 35 tackles while playing both on the defensive line and at linebacker in Miami.
The Dolphins released a statement on Moses stating, “we were deeply saddened to hear about the tragic news involving Quentin Moses. Our thoughts and sincere condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.”
