Welcome back to the PRITTY Left Hook podcast where we get real about combat sports. I promise you that I will take a position that will have you either fist-bumping your co-worker in the next cubicle or cursing me out voraciously. I talk trash and get in that ass (pause).

This week we sit with boxer turned boxing promoter, Dmitriy Salita.

Salita Promotions was founded in 2010 by Dmitriy Salita, a professional boxer and world-title challenger who saw the need for a promotional entity to feature boxing’s best young prospects and established contenders in North America and worldwide.

Salita signed two-time US Olympic gold medalist, Claressa Shields, and has been a huge advocate of women’s boxing.

Having fought at the world title level, Salita has a unique vantage point when dealing with fighters. As the promoter for Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller, Salita is no stranger to controversy.

However, the former member of the Starrett City Boxing Club has been prepared for success since his days training with Zab Judah.

Listen this great episode as we talk Brooklyn’s Danny Jacobs vs. Canelo Alvarez this week, the future of women’s boxing and much more.
