Kevin Durant's MVP ceremony was highlighted by one of the most emotional speeches you'll ever hear from an elite athlete. With tears rolling down his eyes, Durant thanked new teammate Caron Butler, complimented his polarizing partner Russell Westbrook and lastly thanked his mother.
"You made us believe, you kept us off the streets, put clothes on our backs, put food on the table," a teary-eyed Durant said to his mother, who was in attendance. "You the real MVP."
Despite the galvanizing speech, the Thunder still have work ahead of them if they want to survive and advance against the Clippers, who smoked Oklahoma City by 17 in Game 1.
