With the upcoming 2018 WNBA season gearing up this May, Nike unveiled their latest jersey collaboration with input from the game’s premier players.
Nike WNBA Uniforms 2018
Nike’s WNBA Uniforms are Built Specifically for the Game’s Elite. The athletes will be outfitted in Nike women’s Aeroswift uniforms for the inaugural season of the eight-year partnership. The new designs will debut on court May 6 at the start of the WNBA preseason.
Appropriately called the ‘Statement’ and ‘Icon’ jerseys, Nike designers revamped their fit to increase maximum range of motion, optimal moisture control, and temperature regulation. Even the tonal application of colors was taken into consideration to artistically showcase the nature of the game on the court.
The design was intended to create the effect of an athlete in motion, with a wing-like feature on the back of the jersey. With the WNBA rebuilding their presence and brand, this updated jersey should bring new attention to the game itself.
