Continuing in the path of celebrating people of color, Nike recently released the trailer for the limited-edition Harlems Fashion Row X LeBron 16 shoe collaboration.
HFR x LeBron 16: Women of Harlem’s Fashion Row
The limited-edition HFR x LeBron 16 celebrates women of color. They’re “the strongest people in the world,” according to LeBron James. Brought to life by four game-changing women of Harlem’s Fashion Row, Brandice Daniel, Kimberly Goldson, Undra Celeste and Felisha Noel created a shoe that is fearless and distinctive.
The project is being headed by HFRs own Brandice Henderson-Daniel and designers Kimberly Goldson, Undra Celeste, and Felisha Noel. The collaboration is aimed at celebrating and honoring the fearlessness and strength of African American women everywhere.
Here is a statement from King James in regard to the project:
“I believe that African American women are some of the strongest people on earth. I grew up around some amazingly strong women and am inspired by the strength I see around me, including my mom, wife and daughter.”
This will be the first LeBron signature shoe to be reimagined by female designers. The shoe is set to be drop on September 7 on the SNKRS app, available in the U.S. only. Check out the video and lets us know what you think.
