Nate Robinson Says He’s The Guy LeBron Needs

Nate Robinson is ready to ball. Hes healthy, chilling at the crib, and doing silly TV show appearances like he’s a 40-year-old vet. If LeBron James needs a point guard and playmaker, nasty Nate says hes ready to fill it up and get himself a championship in the process. His pride wont let him come out and say it, but then again, Tweeting his desires is almost the equivalent.

Following a week of turmoil in which King James desperately demanded that his front office add some pieces to a struggling team, the Cavs lost to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night, 116-112 in overtime.

The 32-year-old, three-time NBA Slam Dunk champion hasn’t played since 2015, but the 5-foot-9 wonderballer jumped to offer his services Tuesday, following the Cavaliers’ unexpected loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

“Do I gotta put my number on ig @kingjames?? Cause I will until you call me lol #holdat,” Robinson wrote on Instagram, before deleting the post.

Robinson shows off his skills on Instagram, auditioning for a call from NBA teams. He looks like he’s the same undersized terror that used to drop 40 on dudes with the Knicks a half decade ago

On Monday, following the Cavs fifth loss in seven games,  King James told ESPN,”We need a [expletive] playmaker…I’m not saying you can just go find one, like you can go outside and see trees. I didn’t say that.”

James is playing a league-high 37.5 minutes per game this season and cant continue to keep his offensive and defensive loads, even with the rise of Kyrie Irving.

“Im not mad or upset at management cause Griff and staff have done a great job, I just feel we still need to improve in order to repeat…,” James tweeted Tuesday. “If that’s what we wanna do.”

James has voiced his concerns to Cavaliers general manager David Griffin and coach Tyronn Lue, who have come out saying that Brons comments have been misguided.

As the riff thickens and J.R. Smith continues to miss time with an injury, why not bring in Nate? If he can still go, hed be like Vinnie Johnson was for the NBA-champion Pistons back in the 80s; a microwave of instant offense.

His energy, infectious smile and underdog attitude would be a great boost to the sinking morale of the Cavs squad. Maybe that fight between him and J.R. Smith back in the 06-07 season is still a sore spot and his chemistry is undesired.

But even if  Cleveland didnt intend to play him much in the playoffs, Nate The Great is an upgrade from the current alternatives, rookie Kay Felder and DeAndre Liggins.

Nate would be a tremendous energy booster in the second half of the season and shatter the complacency that has settled in on a squad that won the championship last season, but looks ill-prepared to defend a title as we approach the All-Star break.
