Mike Tomlin Is Calling An Audible On His Depth Chart

After an embarrassing loss to the New England Patriots, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is looking to replace a few starters after their 2-6 start to the regular season.

From Pro Football Talk:

You re-evaluate everything,” Tomlin said, via Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “You have to after a performance like that and we will. It doesn’t necessarily mean we will change or change for the sake of changing, but we will look at every aspect of what we are doing and who we are doing it with because we can’t have performances like that.”

Those people who are lacking effort won’t be playing,” Tomlin said. “It’s just that simple, . . . I am angry, disappointed.”

Mike Tomlin can’t control his team and the losses are piling up. These constant changes haven’t led to positive results this season. The question is how many changes will Tomlin have to make before it’s too late? With half of the season over with, Tomlin should start to look towards the future. The Steelers have leaks all over the roster. Improvements are needed from the offensive line, secondary, and their running game. They also need a new offensive coordinator. The playoffs are a pipe dream at this point. Rebuilding should be the main focus.
