Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh will miss the remainder of this season due to blood clots on his lungs.
After experiencing flu-like symptoms on Wednesday, Bosh was sent home, and later admitted to the hospital. This is when the blood clots were discovered. Fortunately, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said that Bosh’s condition is not life threatening.
Bosh was averaging 21.1 points and 7 rebounds per game this season.
He thanked all the fans for their support through social media:
Thank you for all the messages, love, and support. It has truly lifted my spirits through this tough http://t.co/KdiyxIH9T8
