Metta World Peace doesn't want Dwight Howard to leave the Lakers for another team this offseason. No matter where Howard lands, it could very well change the dynamics of a conference landscape and maybe even the league if he teams up with another star as expected.
Metta joined one of his former hometown radio stations Sportsradio 610 in Houston, one of the cities trying to land D12 to pair with James Harden, and it was rich.
You never know what's going to come from this guy's thought process. That's even harder to predict than which way Howard is leaning on anything.
But here's CSN Houston capturing Metta's bizarre way of saying he wants his teammate to stay:
When asked about the Lakers center who is about to be a free agent, World Peace said, “Well, he’s not going to Houston, I tell you that.
“You know how those horses have those little things, ties in a bullfight, you tie those things to their b—- and they go crazy? I’ve got two of those tied to Dwight Howard’s t——–, so he can’t move.”
After massive laughter, Sportsradio 610′s Mike Meltser asked, “So you think Dwight is definitely staying in LA?”
“He can’t move,” World Peace answered. “If he does, it’ll be painful. So he can’t go nowhere.”
Later in the interview, Metta became more serious and said he'd leave the convincing of Howard to stay for the organization and fans. It's obvious that Metta is in the twilight of his career, turning 34 in November and in the last year of his contract.
Certainly for the Lakers, with so much falling apart last season, this indeed is an opportunity to grab by the balls go all in for.
