Mayweather Cares Not About Logan Paul’s Physical Advantages

On February 20th, Floyd Mayweather will continue the exploding trend of high-profile exhibition fights when he takes on Logan Paul.

However, one thing “Money” isn’t concerned about is the size advantage of he opponent.

Streaming partner, Fanmio’s Founder and CEO, Solomon Engel said that Mayweather didn’t flinch at da ing Logan Paul, who has a considerable size and weight advantage over him.

“Floyd had no reaction to his size or weight,” Engel said to The Daily Star. “He had no concern or worry about Logan’s size in this fight.”

Mayweather, who stands at 5’8 and fought no higher than 154-pounds. Paul stands at 6’2 and his only professional boxing match, a loss to fellow YouTube star KSI, was ag cruiserweight; a limit of 200lbs.

“Logan was the first real opponent that we said let’s explore,” Engle continued. “We have a lot of talk about different things for the future, but initially this one was what was proposed.”

Mayweather, an International Boxing Hall of Fame first ballot inductee, retired from the boxing in August 2017.

He left the game a perfect record of 50-0, stopping UFC star Conor McGregor in ten round. The controversial matchup, much like the Logan exhibition, was an abberation from the norms of the boxing business.

But it was extremely lucrative, coming in as the seconds most profitable boxing pay-per-view in history. The most successful PPV is Mayweather vs. Pacquiao.

“We do see (the fight) breaking the record. We have projections which I don’t want to comment on but we do see it breaking the record,” said Engel.

“I can tell you we are very bullish on beating that number and possibly by a long shot. We have already sold a great deal of PPVs, which is kind of unheard of early on. We are already seeing success in that area and between who the two fighters, between how we handle distribution we do see it breaking the record.”

Mayweather is no stranger to mismatched exhibition fights.

In December 2018, he facedkickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, delivering a devastating KO in one round. May weather reportedly made 9 million dollars for that outing.

Engel also stated that neither Mayweather or Paul will be asked to hold back and will be allowed to go for the knockout.

“This is a real fight. And whoever wins, wins. Certainly there could be a knockout, yes.

“I think it will be a very competitive fight. And to be clear, we have Floyd who is the best fighter, and Logan who is a new fighter.

“But, Logan does have some size difference, he’s many inches taller, many pounds heavier and when you look at size and how that could affect the match, there’s really no telling what the outcome could be.”
