Earlier today, the man fans know as MJD or Mighty Mouse, decided to hang up his cleats and call it a career.
Maurice Jones-Drew, who had a nine year career as a running back in the NFL, was selected in the second round out of UCLA by the Jacksonville Jaguars, and proved that big things do come in small packages. He rushed for 941 yards and 13 touchdowns in his rookie season, and amassed 8,167 yards rushing, 2,944 yards receiving, 68 rushing touchdowns and 11 receiving touchdowns in his nine seasons. Although injuries cut his career short in the end, never breaking 100 yards and generating zero touchdowns last year with the Raiders, he definitely had an impact on the game and with fans and the team that drafted him in 2006.
