It’s almost spring time and the movie deals are popping up like blossoms in a field. Director Malcolm D. Lee (The Best Man Holiday), will be teaming with producer Will Packer (Ride Along, About Last Night) and Universal Pictures for his next film. According to Packer’s camp, Lee will direct it and production will begin sometime this summer.
Both Lee and Packer are dealing with recent box office successes. Malcolm’s The Best Man Holiday has grossed over $71 million at the box office since being released. Meanwhile, Will Packer Productions is still bathing in the afterglow of Ride Along success. The buddy comedy starring comedian Kevin Hart and Ice Cube has pulled in close to $120 million to date. The joint project is sure to be powerful for both.
