Magic Johnson has laid down the gauntlet to LeBron James. He’s offering James one million dollars to participate in the dunk contest.
"Please LeBron, get in the dunk contest. I'm going to put up a million dollars. A million dollars to LeBron. Please get in the dunk contest. I go every year. I want to see you out there. A million to the winner."
Lots of people have been begging James to help save the embattled dunk contest.
As of now, all of the cajoling through hash tags, blogs and hours of sports talks haven’t convinced James to get involved in the dunk contest. I can totally understand why James wouldn’t succumb to that.
But when one the best players in NBA history, and one the true ambassadors of game calls you out and puts his own money up, it might be time to reconsider.
Hopefully Magic’s money will get the best player in the game off the pine and in the contest.
