LaVar Ball was apparently so displeased with the suspension that UCLA handed his son LiAngelo for shoplifting in China that he is removing him from the Bruins basketball team.
Gelo’s college career at UCLA looks to be over before he even played a single regular season game. The freshman guard plans to withdraw from the university and will no longer play for the basketball team.

According to TMZ Sports, those close to the Ball family said “there’s no need to break down a kid’s spirit for making a mistake” as the reason that LaVar decided that LiAngelo won’t be playing his college ball in Westwood.
No official announcement has been made by the school, and he remains enrolled as a student. LiAngelo is currently suspended indefinitely for the shoplifting charges that became an international incident and thrust LaVar in a Twitter war with Donald Trump.
