Kevin Durant Out 7-10 Days With Hamstring Sprain

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced today that forward Kevin Durant will miss at least one week due to a hamstring sprain suffered during Tuesdays win against the Washington Wizards.

Durant suffered the injury after driving to the basket during the second quarter. He immediately began clutching his hamstring when he landed after attempting a layup. Durant did not return in the second half.

KD missed 55 games last season after suffering a foot injury which require three surgeries.

“After that foul, I came down a little awkward and landed on it a little harder than I wanted to, and it pulled,” Durant said after the game.

Is KD’s breaking down or is his body still recovering from his injuries last season? Durant is a legit 6’9 and historically foot injuries have been the start of the demise for many notable big men. Hopefully the “Slim Reaper” can return to court immediately, because even a less than 100% KD is better than most.
