Kevin Durant Kicks Knowledge To The Sixers About Tanking

The Phliadelphia 76ers are one of the teams that are currently tanking for the 2014 NBA Draft, which is full of talent across the board. Most of the players don’t know what to expect but, according to a recent article in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Kevin Durant gave them some advice on how to deal with tanking.

From Philiadelphia Inquirer :

“Every game it was tough knowing that it was going to be hard for us to win,” Durant said. “But what we did was come in and work hard every day, and know that it was going to be a process and maybe a tough year.”

The Sonics lost their first eight games and went 3-14 through the first month of the 2007-08 season. They finished with the second worst record (20-62) behind the Miami Heat (15-67).

“You just have to keep pushing through it,” said Durant, giving advice to the Sixers.

Not a lot of players know how tough tanking is better than Kevin Durant, who went through the transition from the Seattle Supersonics to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Going through the tanking process is one thing that has made Kevin Durant one of the best players in the NBA today. Hopefully, if the Sixers are willing to go through tanking this season or the next few seasons, things will work out.
