Rudy Huxtable Deserves To Be In The Black TV Sibling HOF

Actress Keshia Knight Pulliam turns 40 this week so we paid homage to her most iconic role.

From Dee of What’s Happening to Arnold of Diff’rent Strokes, Tahj Mowry of The Smart Guy and even today with Marsai Martin of Black-ish, the younger tv siblings have always been held in high regard.

For me, the high-jinxes these baby-faced thespians appeared to get away with reminded me of myself as the youngest in a group of five siblings, four older brothers and an older sister.

To that end, Keshia Knight Pulliam still holds a special place in our hearts as the incorrigibly cute Rudy Huxtable from The Cosby Show, which ran from the late 80s through the early 90s on NBC. Rudy was smart and a perpetual thorn in the sides of her older siblings Theo and Vanessa, played by Michael Jamal Warner and Tempest Bledsoe.

Born in Newark, New Jersey in 1979, Keshia Knight-Pulliam turns 40 years old on April 9.  Despite tabloid smears and bad press, Knight-Pulliam is still going strong. Below are some of the most memorable scenes from her role as Rudy Huxtable, the role that most of us still remember her for.

  1. Rudy and Bud discuss his outdated views on relationships

2. Rudy and Claire wrangle over breakfast details

3. Rudy sings along with the Huxtable clan to celebrate Grandparents’ anniversary

4. Rudy tries to trick her razor-sharp mother but conning her father
