People are askin' a lot of questions about MTV's "Hottest MC In The Game" list. Earlier in the week, MTV announced that A$AP Rocky was no. 8 and Kanye West was no. 7 — behind his G.O.O.D Music protege Big Sean at no. 6.
Neither were happy about the decision. Kanye West called into Hot 97 to vent his frustration with the list, his perception and to remind Sway who bought his first TV before abruptly hanging up.
Sway has his own version of events, and said he's going to bring the TV on RapFix as a co-host.
“That very TV, today, I still have that TV he’s talking about,” said Sway. “Yeah, but it’s a lot about this story that Kanye West did not reveal. There’s more to the story ladies and gentleman. Typically, I don’t bring stuff to the surface. I protect relationships. Today, I’m going to bring that very TV that Kanye West was talking about to Rap Fix. And I’mma sit it on the set and let that TV co-host the show with me and I’m gonna tell the entire story of my first TV courtesy of Kanye West.”
Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky was venting his frustration — he thinks he should top the list — on Shade 45.
Everybody is making rather salient points, but Danny Brown — who doesn't have a shot in hell at the top five — put up and dropped a quick track, "#HottestMC", staking his claim for the title. He should, at the very least, get an award for the best argument. Keepin' it real, as always.
