Jozy Altidore picked up a hamstring injury during training last week for his new club, Sunderland FC, and was left out of the squad for Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Cyrstal Palace. Luckily for the USMNT, Altidore's injury hasn't lingered, and the on-from striker was cleared for training by the US medical staff.

Altidore joins a bevy of fit strikers contending for starting spots in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, including Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan and Eddie Johnson. The USMNT play next on Friday against Costa Rica, followed by a home game against Mexico next week.
