Jason Mitchell To Portray NCAA Champ Anthony Robles In Biopic

    The Chi and Straight Outta Compton star Jason Mitchell is set to portray wrestling champ Anthony Robles in the biopic Unstoppable.

    Robles, who was born with one leg, overcame various challenges to eventually become an NCAA champ in 2010-11. The film will be based on his inspirational story and book, Unstoppable: From Underdog To Undefeated: How I Became A Champion, highlighting details of his ascension to the Arizona State Wrestling championship.

    Deadline reports that Eric Champnella (Mr. 3000) wrote the first draft of the script and latest revisions have been reviewed by John Hindman (The Answer Man). This feature will be Oscar-winning editor Billy Goldenberg’s directorial debut, known for his work on Argo, Zero Dark Thirty and Detroit.

    The film starts shooting in the first quarter of 2019.
